Abstract

Abstrak. Kecanduan handphone adalah pemakaian yang tidak terkendali, kelalaian dalam melaksanakan aktivitas sehari-hari dan secara konstan memeriksa handphone-nya. Siswa yang kecanduan handphone memiliki masalah yang besar dalam mengolah diri dengan baik. Jika dilakukan secara terus-menerus tanpa ada kesadaran untuk berubah, maka akan menjadi kebiasaan buruk . Tujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan durasi penggunaan handphone, aktivitas fisik dan pola makan dengan status gizi remaja di SMAN 19 Gowa. Metode pada penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif menggunakan desain observasional dengan pendekatan Cross Sectional Study. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini 83 orang. Hasil didapatkan ada hubungan yang signifikan antara durasi penggunaan handphone dengan status gizi remaja (p=0,000), aktivitas fisik (p=0,054) dan pola makan (p=0,088). Kesimpulan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara durasi penggunaan handphone dengan status gizi remaja dan tidak terdapat hubungan antara aktivitas fisik dan pola makan dengan status gizi remaja. Kata Kunci: Status gizi, durasi penggunaan handphone, aktivitas fisik, pola makan

Abstract

Abstrak. Successfull aging merupakan lansia yang berada pada kondisi optimal dimana lansia mengalami kemunduran yang minim dari segi fisik dan kognitif, serta aktif melakukan kegiatan dilihat dari segala aspek kehidupan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran successfull aging pada lansia purna bakti dan apa saja faktor yang memengaruhi. Responden penelitian ini yaitu 2 orang lansia purna bakti dan 2 significant other dari masing-masing anak responden. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif pendekatan studi kasus dengan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu wawancara mendalam dan observasi. Teknik analisis data penelitian ini yaitu analisis tematik data driven yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Adapun hasil penelitian ini yaitu terdapat beberapa aspek gambaran successfull aging yaitu kondisi kesehatan, fungsional, aktif terlibat di lingkungan sekitar, dan subjektivitas successfull aging pada responden. Faktor yang memengaruhi mencapai successfull aging yaitu aktivitas, psikologis, sosial, religiusitas, serta terdapat faktor lain. Implikasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu dapat memberikan kontribusi berupa informasi, data, fakta terkait gambaran, serta faktor yang memengaruhi successfull aging pada lansia purna bakti     Kata Kunci: Lansia Purna Bakti, Pensiun, Successfull aging

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to describe the intelligence levels of elementary school students experiencing difficulties in reading, writing, and arithmetic in Makassar City. The research employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive analysis method. The subjects were 64 students from eight elementary schools who their teachers identified as having learning difficulties. The Coloured Progressive Matrices (CPM) test was used to measure the students' intelligence levels. The results showed that most students with difficulties in reading, writing, and arithmetic had intelligence levels in the average category. Furthermore, the majority of identified students were male, and learning difficulties were most prevalent among students in the third and fourth grades. These findings confirm that most participants in this study did not have low intelligence, but rather specific cognitive process disorders. Further comprehensive assessment is recommended to obtain a more complete picture of the learning difficulties experienced. This study also highlights the importance of early detection and appropriate intervention for students with learning difficulties, enabling them to develop optimally. Keywords: Intelligence level, learning difficulties, elementary school

Abstract

Abstract. Marriage and living together with a loved one are everyone's dreams. However, some couples must live separately due to various reasons such as education, work, and other factors. This research examines the role of communication and marital satisfaction in couples experiencing long-distance marriage. The article search was conducted by searching for journals discussing long-distance marriage, resulting in 10 journals from 54 journals analysed through meta-synthesis. The research found that effective communication patterns and marital satisfaction are crucial to maintaining long-distance relationships. Communication issues can lead to conflicts and ultimately divorce if not properly managed. This study provides insights into maintaining relationship quality through effective communication strategies and understanding factors contributing to marital satisfaction in long-distance marriages. Keywords: Long-distance marriage; marital satisfaction; communication

Abstract

Abstrak.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan antara regulasi emosi dan career resilience pada karyawan Generasi Z dalam konteks dunia kerja yang terus berubah dan penuh tekanan. Generasi Z dikenal memiliki tantangan psikologis yang khas, termasuk tingkat kecemasan dan stres yang tinggi, serta kesulitan dalam regulasi emosi. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain cross-sectional dengan pendekatan korelasional. Data dikumpulkan dari 85 responden karyawan Generasi Z menggunakan dua instrumen yang telah disesuaikan, yaitu Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ) dan skala career resilience berbasis penelitian terbaru. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara regulasi emosi dan career resilience (r = 0,685, p < 0,01) yang berarti semakin baik kemampuan individu dalam mengelola emosi, semakin tinggi pula ketahanan karier yang dimilikinya. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi teoretis terhadap literatur psikologi kerja lintas generasi dan menunjukkan pentingnya pengembangan keterampilan emosional sebagai strategi adaptif dalam mendukung keberlanjutan karier Generasi Z. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan intervensi berbasis regulasi emosi dalam pengembangan sumber daya manusia untuk meningkatkan daya tahan karier karyawan Generasi Z di era kerja modern. Kata kunci: regulasi emosi, career resilience, karyawan generasi Z

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap bagaimana struktur sintaksis dalam cerpen Tahlil Kerinduan karya Yusnidar Yusuf merepresentasikan identitas feminin dan nilai budaya religius dalam masyarakat Indonesia. Cerpen ini dianalisis karena mengandung narasi perempuan yang sarat dengan ekspresi spiritual dan batiniah yang dikonstruksi melalui pilihan-pilihan kalimat yang khas. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis analisis wacana kritis dan kerangka linguistik sistemik-fungsional. Data berupa kalimat-kalimat yang mengandung makna emosional dan ideologis dianalisis berdasarkan struktur sintaksis, metafungsi bahasa, serta makna budaya yang terkandung di dalamnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk kalimat pasif, eliptis, dan subordinatif digunakan secara strategis untuk menampilkan sosok perempuan sebagai figur yang sabar, religius, dan penuh kontemplasi. Struktur sintaksis tersebut tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai perangkat naratif, tetapi juga sebagai alat representasi ideologi kultural yang membentuk citra perempuan dalam ruang domestik dan spiritual. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa sintaksis dalam teks sastra berperan dalam reproduksi wacana sosial dan kultural, serta memperkuat pentingnya kajian kebahasaan berbasis gender dan budaya dalam ranah analisis sastra kontemporer.

Abstract

Abstract. This article explores the strategic collaboration between UNICEF and the Government of Indonesia in addressing Online Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (OCSEA). Employing a descriptive qualitative approach and framed within the theories of human security and international cooperation, the study examines the implementation of the P-OCSEA program and the #JagaBareng digital campaign. The findings reveal that youth participation, public education, institutional capacity building, and policy development are central strategies in building a safe digital ecosystem for children. These efforts reflect a shift from reactive to preventive and community-based approaches. However, major challenges persist, including the absence of specific OCSEA legislation, limited child-friendly reporting mechanisms, low digital literacy in marginalized areas, and insufficient forensic training for law enforcement. The study highlights the need for sustained, multi-sectoral, and adaptive cooperation, supported by legal reforms, national curriculum integration, and active engagement from digital technology providers to ensure children's rights and safety in the evolving digital environment.

Abstract

This study examines how demographic characteristics influence digital platform usage patterns among Indonesian internet users. Using data from 959 participants (66.3% female, 33.7% male), we analyzed the relationships between gender, occupational status, educational background, and engagement with various digital platforms. Results revealed significant demographic differences in platform preferences. Gender emerged as a substantial differentiating factor, with males showing higher engagement with news, gaming, and potentially problematic platforms, while females demonstrated greater usage of shopping and communication platforms. Occupational status significantly influenced digital behavior patterns, with employed individuals prioritizing professional tools like news sites and email, while university students exhibited higher engagement with entertainment and social media. Educational background primarily affected information-oriented platform usage, with higher education levels correlating with increased consumption of news and professional communication. Across all demographic segments, communication platforms dominated digital engagement, with participants typically spending 5-8 hours daily on instant messaging applications. Notably, minimal engagement with potentially problematic platforms was observed across all demographics. These findings provide empirical foundations for developing targeted digital literacy initiatives, informing policy decisions, and designing inclusive digital environments that acknowledge demographic differences in user behaviors. As digital technologies become increasingly integrated into Indonesian society, understanding these nuanced relationships between demographic characteristics and digital behaviors becomes essential for addressing emerging challenges and maximizing benefits across diverse population segments.

Abstract

Abstract. The lack of understanding regarding affixation can lead to errors in word usage, resulting in ambiguity in the meaning of their academic writing. This study aims to thoroughly examine how students comprehend affixation in the Indonesian language, the factors influencing that understanding, and the challenges they face in applying it in academic communication. The type of research employed is descriptive qualitative, focusing on the collection and analysis of in-depth data regarding students' understanding of affixation. The sample for this study consists of 68 students from the Indonesian Language and Literature Education programme at Universitas Negeri Makassar. Data collection techniques include interviews, questionnaires, text analysis, and direct classroom observations. Data analysis is conducted through thematic analysis to identify key themes related to the understanding of affixation. The results indicate that the application of affixation in students' academic writing still reveals errors in affix usage, the use of confixes, and the writing of affixes and prepositions. Several factors influencing students' understanding of affixation can be observed from cognitive, pedagogical, and learning environment aspects. Various teaching strategies have proven effective in enhancing students' engagement, conceptual understanding, and analytical skills regarding the structure of affixes in the Indonesian language, including contextual approaches, project-based learning, digital technology, and collaborative methods. This research reinforces the fact that mastery of morphology, particularly affixation, remains a significant challenge in students' academic writing. This necessitates a more applied, contextual, and error-based approach to teaching morphology that addresses the common mistakes encountered.Keywords: affixation, morphology, learning strategies

Abstract

Abstract. This study examines the presence and linguistic construction of gender bias in Indonesian advertisements, with a focus on the representation of female and male roles. Using a discourse analysis approach, 50 advertisements identified as containing gender-biased content were systematically examined. The analysis aimed to categorize and interpret the linguistic and visual features that contribute to gender stereotyping, objectification, and discriminatory language. The findings reveal four dominant categories of gender bias: (1) gender role stereotyping, (2) objectification of women, (3) undermining men who do not conform to traditional masculinity, and (4) the use of sexist phrases. Among these, objectification of women was the most prevalent, with nearly half of the advertisements portraying women primarily as physical objects designed to attract consumer attention. Gender role stereotyping was also prominent, reinforcing conventional and often restrictive views of masculinity and femininity. Additionally, the study highlights how men who deviate from traditional masculine norms are belittled and how sexist language is used to perpetuate harmful gender norms. The research underscores that advertisements are not neutral; instead, they function as influential social texts that reflect and shape cultural perceptions of gender. Such biased representations can reinforce societal inequalities by normalizing and legitimizing restrictive gender roles and expectations. This is particularly concerning given the influence of advertising on young and impressionable audiences. The study contributes to the growing body of literature on media representation and gender studies, highlighting the importance of linguistic scrutiny in understanding and addressing gender discrimination in mass media.Keywords: Gender Bias, Linguistics, Advertising, Language and Media
