Abstract

The activity on developing the flipbook e-module for Bungo Dani English KKG teachers is a positive and useful step in educational development. Through the flipbook e-module, Bungo Dani English KKG teachers can improve their knowledge and teaching skills. It could help understand more modern and effective teaching methods. The use of technology in the form of e-module flipbooks shows adaptation to current developments and provides easier access for teachers to obtain the latest materials. This socialization activity can allow teachers to collaborate, share experiences, and exchange ideas. Flipbook e-modules can help teachers prepare lesson plans in a more structured and efficient way. It could save teachers time preparing material and optimize the teaching and learning process. The conclusion is that the socialization activity for developing flipbook e-modules for Bungo Dani English KKG teachers has great potential to improve the quality of education and teaching methods and enrich the learning experience for teachers and students.

Abstract

This service activity was motivated by the low interest of history teachers in creating media, especially in history subjects. Apart from that, there is also low student interest and motivation in learning, especially local history. So far, teachers in carrying out learning tend not to use media as a tool in conveying learning material, so learning is verbalistic plus the perception of history for some students is still considered a relatively difficult lesson. Therefore, it is necessary to create learning conditions that can familiarize children with history and their environment, one of which is by conducting learning using Banner media. This service activity aims to educate Palembang City YWKA High School teachers to increase their professionalism as History Teachers at Palembang YWKA High School. This activity also motivates teachers to design attractive learning media in the form of banners using local sources of excellence in the city of Palembang. The method of implementing activities carried out in this activity is lecture, question and answer and discussion, and the practice of making Banner media. It can be concluded that educational activities for YWKA High School Teachers in Palembang City provide teachers with understanding and skills in producing Banner learning media based on the local history of Arab Village Houses in Palembang City.

Abstract

This research examines the effectiveness of scientific writing training in improving participants' writing skills. The training method is a direct practice approach with mentoring, intensive training, discussion, and reflection sessions. The instruments used to measure writing ability before and after training are scientific writing assessment rubrics and self-assessment questionnaires. The research results showed a significant increase in participants' writing abilities after attending the training. Before the training, most participants had limited writing skills, especially in writing structure, data presentation, and scientific argumentation. However, after the training, participants significantly improved written structure, argumentation clarity, and analysis depth. Apart from that, this training also helped participants to develop a critical attitude towards literature and hone their ability to integrate knowledge from various sources to support the argument. Participants also received positive responses regarding the interactive training methods and in-depth approach to scientific writing techniques. This research concludes that scientific writing training effectively improves participants' writing skills. Therefore, it is recommended that similar training focusing on various aspects of scientific writing be carried out to support the development of participants' academic and professional competencies.

Abstract

Dusun Pending merupakan salah satu dusun yang terletak di Desa Soronalan, Kecamatan Sawangan, Kabupaten Magelang. Di dusun Pending ini terdapat sekolah dasar yaitu SD Negeri Soronalan 2 yang merupakan salah satu sekolah dengan jumlah siswa yang belum mencapai standar. Minat literasi pada sekolah ini juga masih tergolong rendah dan harus diperhatikan. Dari beberapa permasalahan tersebut maka kami memilih SD Negeri Soronalan 2 ini untuk melaksanakan kolaborasi dan untuk menerapkan ilmu yang kami punya dengan mengembangkan Pojok Baca Ramah Siswa dan Peningkatan Branding Sekolah yang mana dapat meningkatkan minat literasi siswa dan jumlah siswa disekolah ini. Meningkatkan minat literasi siswa juga menjadi tantangan penting mengingat literasi memiliki peran strategis dalam pengembangan potensi peserta didik.Hasil pelaksanaan PPMT mencakup pengembangan pojok baca dengan penambahan buku bacaan, pembuatan pamflet kata-kata motivasi, dan kolaborasi pembuatan pamflet penerimaan peserta didik baru (PPDB). Kegiatan pengabdian ini memiliki fokus utama pada peningkatan branding sekolah dan minat literasi siswa. Melalui pengembangan Pojok Baca Ramah Siswa dan strategi branding sekolah, tim pengabdian dari Universitas Muhammadiyah Magelang berusaha mengatasi permasalahan kurangnya minat siswa dan fasilitas yang kurang memadai.

Abstract

The results showed that the leadership style of the head of the room affected not only the executive nurses' performance but also the health service system as a whole. Based on the study's results, it is known that the leadership style used by the head of the room is a combination of democratic leadership followed by autocratic and participatory. The purpose of community service is to increase the head of the room's knowledge regarding applying an effective leadership style to improve the performance of implementing nurses in providing nursing services. The activity was carried out through lecture-based education talks with interactive communication by 12 nurse managers. This community service activity was carried out for one day by providing lectured-based talks starting from preparation, activity implementation, and activity evaluation. The benefit of this community service is an effort to improve and equip the knowledge of the head of the room with how to apply an effective leadership style to improve nurse performance and the quality of nursing service in the hospital. The results of the activity showed an increase in the knowledge of the head of the room regarding effective leadership styles.

Abstract

This service activity was carried out to improve the competency of teachers at SD Negeri 123/II Tebat Pelepat in implementing the Independent Curriculum. This needs to be done because of the lack of facilities available to teachers at the school to study in more depth related to the Merdeka curriculum. Activities were carried out by providing practical workshops using lecture techniques, simulations, and discussions at the Pelepat VII Regional Coordinator office. The results of this activity had a good impact on teachers at SD Negeri 123/II Tebat Pelepat. Teachers who participated in the activity gained insight into knowledge related to the Pancasila student profile, the Discovery Learning learning model, and the Problem-Based Learning learning model. The knowledge teachers gain can increase teacher competency, influencing teacher readiness to carry out the learning process in the classroom. In this way, teachers are better prepared to carry out the learning process in the Merdeka curriculum.

Abstract

This training aims to increase the understanding of people in the Larantuka diocese, East Flores Regency, and Lembata regarding movement and posture in the Eucharistic liturgy. The training will occur six months on weekends, from May 6 to October 28, 2023, in East Flores Regency. The training method combines theory and practice, focusing on gathering, standing, and sitting. Interactive and participatory, the training allows participants to practice and apply concepts with question-and-answer sessions and live feedback from trainers. The training results showed significant changes in the gestures and attitudes of the people when celebrating the Eucharist after basic understanding was given. This understanding creates a foundation for positive change, increases responsiveness to songs or prayers, and increases people's participation and consistency in the liturgy. In conclusion, proper education and training can enrich the quality of the celebration of the Eucharist, providing life experiences and meaning for the people.

Abstract

Cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset from a young age might inspire youths to pursue entrepreneurship. Introducing the entrepreneurial spirit is crucial for high school students. You are expected to have a business plan ready to be implemented when you become an undergraduate student. Faculty of Economics and Business at Pancasila University (FEB UP) mandates its academics to engage in community service as part of their responsibilities. One type of service involves fostering an entrepreneurial mindset through social interaction. FEB UP lecturers conduct entrepreneurship outreach lectures to help high school students understand entrepreneurship. The seminar activities indicate a strong interest in the entrepreneurial profession.

Abstract

Competition for jobs is so tight that opening your own business is an alternative way of choosing a livelihood. Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are the most strategic social economic sector and concern the livelihoods of many people, making them the backbone of the national economy. However, the problems faced by the Risol Mayo "CAK GENDUT" business or small industries are mostly sources of capital, labor, raw materials for industrial processing and marketing. This community service related to assisting MSMEs with the Risol Mayo snack type is expected to provide solutions for MSMEs.The practical methods used in this mentoring program are observation and interview methods. There is a mentoring program for recording financial reports. The program carried out is a management approach related to working hours that is structured in a period of ≤ 4 weeks, utilizing social media, delivery services with a minimum purchase of IDR. 20,000 as well as innovation in gift coupons so that orders are not only made on a conversion basis and communication is very good between mentors and partners in achieving mentoring goals. It is hoped that MSME players can accept changes in information technology very quickly. MSME players are advised to innovate more aggressively in terms of marketing to attract consumers.

Abstract

The batik industry in Purwo Bakti Village, Jambi, has great growth potential. However, the batik artisans are still constrained in marketing their products widely. Digital marketing education aims to equip batik artisans with the knowledge and skills to market their products using digital platforms. Education is carried out using training and mentoring methods. The training materials include an introduction to digital platforms, interesting content creation techniques, and digital marketing strategies. After attending the education, the batik craftsmen can create accounts and manage digital platforms, create interesting content to promote batik products and carry out digital marketing strategies by utilizing social media Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram.
