Abstract

The aim of the study was to determine hatching time, hatch weight, and sex ratio of domestic chickens crossed with various good males. The research was conducted in Mbatakapidu Village, Kota Waingapu District, East Sumba Regency for two months. This study used 30 native chickens aged 10 months in addition to three bangkok, ciliper or plucker, and pakhoy chickens. Parameters observed included: hatch time, hatch weight, and sex ratio. Data were analyzed using the ANOVA test. The results showed: 1) the average hatching time of native chickens crossed with three roosters: Pakhoy took 18.87 days, Ciliper took 18.53 days, and Bangkok took 18.53 days. 2) hatching weight of three roosters crossed with native chickens was 34.23 g for Bangkok, 33.18 g for Ciliper, and 31.72 g for Pakhoy. (3) The average sex ratio of DOC native chickens crossed with three roosters is Bangkok: male DOC is 20.41 percent, while female DOC is 44.90 percent. Caliper or Plucker: 14.29% male DOC, 33.67% female DOC, and Pakhoy: 7.00% male DOC and 27.55% female. The effect on the three observed parameters was determined by crossing native chickens with three roosters. Sex ratio had no effect on determining the sex of DOCs resulting from crossing native chickens with three roosters, however the use of three roosters had an effect on hatching time and weight. The sex ratio shows a very weak correlation with hatching time and hatching weight. To increase the productivity of free-range chickens it is important to cross them with several roosters.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how to use the curriculum and analysis of PPKn textbooks in the Madani Integrated Model Public High School by using the method of observation and interviews with PPKn teachers who are also vice principals of student affairs with a descriptive research type. The results of the study (1) The curriculum used in this school has undergone 3 changes, namely the Competency-Based Curriculum (2004) where students are required to be able to participate actively for the formation of a graduate profile. The 2006 Education Unit Level Curriculum (KTSP) conveys curriculum messages to students to shape their competencies according to their characteristics and abilities, and the 2013 Curriculum (K13) requires teachers to be active in creating and growing activities according to the programmed plans. (2) The textbooks used and those analyzed were the 2017 Edition of Pancasila and Citizenship Education for class X (Ten) which were also equipped with pictures of each material. The use of textbooks in Civics learning activities in class is very good so this indicates that students are more interested in using textbooks than not using textbooks in learning activities.

Abstract

The reading ability of class I students at SDN 2 Candisari is still low. Observation results stated that 60% of students still classified as having below average reading skills and lack of use of learning media. The research objective was to develop TUACA flashcard media and test its validation level to improve students' reading skills in grade I. This research used the RD method and the ADDIE development model. The instruments included material and media validation questionnaires, validation of teacher responses, and an initial grade I reading ability test by applying qualitative descriptive analysis techniques in the form of percentages according to eligibility categories. Material validation results obtained a percentage of 75% (high category) and 95.83% (very high category) for media validation. The results of the validation of the class I teacher's response obtained a percentage of 97.32% (very high category). The average result of the analysis of the initial reading ability test before the TUACA flashcard media was applied obtained a percentage of 55% (enough category) and after the application of the media increased to 85% (very high category). Thus the TUACA flashcard media is feasible and can be used to improve the reading skills of grade I SD students.

Abstract

Public services are all activities in the framework of fulfilling basic needs in accordance with the basic rights of every citizen and resident over goods, services and or administrative services provided by service providers related to public interests. Communities as customers have needs and expectations for the performance of professional public service providers. The task of the Central Government and Regional Governments is to provide public services that are able to satisfy the public. The implementation of decentralization and regional autonomy policies in Indonesia has resulted in local governments having the responsibility and authority to determine minimum service standards. The fundamental problem in the process of public service in Indonesia is about ethics. There are no universal standards regarding norms or ethics as well as sanctions that specifically regulate violations committed by officials in public services.

Abstract

Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia (NKRI) is an archipelagic country. Indonesia's struggle to gain world recognition as an archipelagic country was first obtained through the Archipelagic State Concept in the Djuanda Declaration on December 13, 1957. Indonesia's maritime territory is an area rich in resources that are beneficial for the welfare of society. So far the development of the outer islands has not shown good results. This is caused by many factors, among others, geographically the location of the outermost islands is difficult to reach, there are limited business scales, methods of exploiting marine resources that are not yet effective, limited facilities and infrastructure, limited ability to manage available natural wealth. This research aims toanalyze community empowerment activities living on these islands as one of the efforts to maintain territorial integrity and realize Indonesia's maritime defense. This research is a qualitative research. The research design is descriptive analysis. The results of this study arecommunity empowerment in the outermost small islands in maintaining territorial integrity and realizing Indonesia's maritime defense through the Service of the Indonesian Navy, Development of Regional Resilience and Social Communication and the Government of Natuna Regency providing various types of assistance, such as socialization of fish farming and fishing gear. The empowerment cooperation carried out by Lantamal IV Batam with the Regional Government of Natuna Regency has not gone well, the actors involved in implementing the empowerment cooperation have not worked together optimally and there are still obstacles faced, namely uniting community empowerment activity programs between Lantamal IV Batam and Natuna Regency.
