Scientium Management Review is a quarterly peer-reviewed journal with a mission. The mission of the Scientium Management Review is to provide thought leadership by publishing articles on managerial practices with organization-wide or cross-functional implications. We seek original theoretical and practical insights into general management in all types of organizations. We are global in orientation and welcome submissions rooted in empirical research or novel business solutions in all fields related to general management, including (but not restricted to): strategy, leadership, corporate governance, international business, decision-making, change management, and corporate social responsibility. We also seek articles written from a functional perspective, such as finance, marketing, or supply chain management, provided these demonstrate links to cross-functional and general management topics. Abstract

This research aims toanalyze the influence of motivation and quality of communication on employee productivity at PT PLN (Persero) Sector Tello Makassar.This research was conducted using a quantitative approach and a survey.The population consists of all employees of PTPLN (Persero) Tello Sector in Makassartotaling 134 people with the sampling method in this study using the full sample method. The results showed that (1) motivation is the most influential variable on employee productivity because it has the largest correlation coefficient value. This means that the increase in employee productivity is highly dependent on the motivation that underlies or encourages employees to work and (2) the quality of communication has a significant effect on productivity which indicates that employees who have high perceptions of the quality of communication tend to establish good relationships and create close communication. and harmony among fellow employees so as to increase productivity.

Abstract

The National Pension Savings Bank (BTPN) has come a long way, since it was founded in Bandung, West Java in 1958, and then changed its name in 1986 to become the National Pension Savings Bank. BTPN began being listed on the Jakarta Stock Exchange in 2008 and a year later added a financing business to micro business complements the pension banking service portfolio. Recognizing the current challenges, that companies are required to change the way they do business, we decided to take a step further, by creating and launching “Daya” in 2011. Based on the “Opportunity and Call” business philosophy, Daya present by offering an opportunity to all BTPN stakeholders to participate in the mission to empower millions of mass market in Indonesia. In the regression equation, there are 2 negative variables and 3 other positive variables, meaning that if the independent variable increases, the dependent variable decreases and if the independent variable decreases, the dependent variable also increases. Because there are several factors from the item of each variable that influence the assessment of service quality so that there is an asymmetric flow between the independent and dependent variables. From the results of the regression coefficients obtained, it shows that the direct evidence factor (b1 = 0.000) then responsiveness (b3 = 0.000) and assurance (b4 = 0.000) are the distribution factors that affect customer satisfaction, then reliability (b2 = 0.010), while empathy ( b5 = 0.723) is a factor that does not affect customer satisfaction at all.

Abstract

Human Resource Management (HRM) has an important role in achieving competitive advantage in the coffeeshop business. This research identifies the important role of HR management in creating competitive advantage through several key aspects including HR planning, recruitment and selection, training and development, compensation and evaluation. Having qualified and competent employees is very important to be able to provide the best service for customers. By improving the ability of coffeeshop employees, in addition to being able to provide high-quality services, this will be an advantage to distinguish them from competitors. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with 4 research subjects. The result is that to achieve a competitive advantage, HR management must play an active role in managing human resources strategically. By doing good HR planning, proper recruitment and selection, employee development, and effective performance evaluation, the coffeeshop business can achieve a sustainable competitive advantage in this increasingly competitive market.

Abstract

This examine objectives to determine the reaction of working ladies to the implementation of do business from home as a shape of adaptation during the pandemic at PT. Bina Artha Ventura, knowing the impact of work from home, job pride, and work life balance on the overall performance of lady employees at PT. Bina Artha Ventura throughout the Covid 19 pandemic duration and knowing the impact of the work from home variable as a moderator on the connection between activity satisfaction and paintings existence balance on performance among girl people at PT. Bina Artha Ventura in the course of the Covid 19 pandemic length. The facts used consisted of primary and secondary facts and changed into analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The results confirmed that PT. Bina Artha Ventura had made adaptations to running hours earlier than, all through and after the Covid-19 pandemic but this edition method acquired a poor reaction from operating girls due to excessive working hours and running days at some point of the post-pandemic duration. The results of multiple linear regression analysis show that job satisfaction, work life balance, and flexible working arrangements have a positive and partially significant effect on the performance of female workers at PT. Bina Artha Ventura during the Covid-19 pandemic period. The results of the moderation regression analysis show that the Flexible Working Arrangement is able to moderate the relationship between Work Life Balance and Performance in female workers at PT Bina Artha Ventura during the Covid-19 pandemic period but does not significantly moderate Job Satisfaction with Performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to: (1) Analyze the effect of competence on employee performance; (2) Examine the influence of organizational commitment on employee performance; (3) Investigate how competence affects organizational citizenship behavior (OCB); (4) Assess the effect of organizational commitment on OCB; (5) Evaluate the impact of OCB on employee performance; (6) Investigate the effect of competence on employee performance with OCB as a mediating variable; (7) Analyze the effect of organizational commitment on employee performance through OCB as an intervening variable. The study focuses on the population of 43 permanent employees at the Electricity Company in Kendari City. Since the population is fewer than 100, all permanent employees were selected as respondents. Data analysis was conducted using the Partial Least Square (PLS) methodology. Based on the findings, the researcher recommends using OCB as a mediator between competence and employee performance at the Electricity Company in Kendari City and encourages the continued use of OCB as a mediator in the relationship between competence and employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors that affect the performance of employees at PT. Cahaya Mulia Toys. These factors are motivated crimes and the working environment. Employees who have the motivation and a good working good working environment will have a positive impact to the organization, so as to achieve organizational goals. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of motivation and work environment on employee performance. Data collection method used is by interview and questionnaire to the respondent. Data were analyzed using quantitative method and descriptive method. The results of the research showed that the regression coefficient of Y = -11.032 + 0.62X₁ +0.71X₂. Means if no policy on work motivation (X₁ = 0) and work environment (X₂ = 0), then the employee performance (Y) amounted to-11.032. while if the increased work motivation (X₁ = 1), The performance of employees (Y) will be increased by 0.62 and if the work environment improved (X₂ = 1), the performance of employees (Y) will be increased by 0.71. From the calculation of multiple correlation coefficient is that the value r1y = 0,879, these results suggest that there is a strong and positive relationship that the work motivation (X₁) on employee performance (Y). R2y value = 0,656 these result indicate that there is a strong correlation between the positive and work environment (X2) on employee performance (Y). The correlation coefficient between work motivation (X₁) and working environment (X₂) on employee performance (Y) by 0.879. value determination coefficient Kd = 77.26% Based on the results of hypothesis testing using t-test statistical analysis, the value of t1 count equal to 9.765> t table 2.048. means Ha accepted and Ho rejected. And the significance of influence and relationships work environment on employee performance is obtained t2 count of 4.599 > 2.048 means Ha accepted and Ho rejected. While the result of calculations using analysis f test values obtained f hitung 45.87 > f table values of 3.35, means Ha accepted and Ho rejected. Thus it can be concluded that motivation and work environment together have an influence on the performance of employees of PT. Cahaya Mulia Toys.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of competence on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). This research employs a quantitative analysis with a population consisting of the whole employees in the unit of the state-owned electricity company. The data analysis method used is Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results of this study indicate that competence has a positive effect on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengetahuan perpajakan dan sosialisasi perpajakan terhadap kepatuhan wajib pajak bumi dan bangunan di Desa Mangunjaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, teknik pengumpula data menggunakan data primer melalui kuesioner yang diukur dengan skala ordinal. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik random sampling dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 100 responden. Metode pengolahan data adalah uji validitas, uji reabilitas, uji asumsi klasik, uji regresi linerar berganda, dan uji goodness of fit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan variabel pengetahuan berpengaruh terhadap kepatuhan wajib pajak bumi dan bangunan, sedangkan variabel sosialisasi perpajakan tidak berpengaruh terhadap kepatuhan wajib pajak bumi dan bangunan. Besarnya pengaruh variabel pengetahuan dan sosialisasi perpajakan terhadap kepatuhan wajib pajak bumi dan bangunan sebesar 23,7%, sedangkan sisanya 67,3% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain di luar model penelitian.
