Abstract

One of the family planning program goals is to improve the healthy of mothers and children, to embody a happy and prosperous family. One way to decrease the population growth is to increase the use of MKJP, especially the IUD. The low usage of IUDs in Indonesia causes uncontrolled population growth. The same problem happened in West Sumatra. The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship of knowledge, perception of husband's support with the selection of IUD contraceptives. This research was a cross-sectional comparative. The populations in this research were all women of childbearing age (WUS). The samples of this research were 49 IUD users and 149 non-IUD users. The instruments were a questionnaire. The bivariate analysis used Chi-Squere. The results of the univariate study found that 123 people (62,1%) had low knowledge, 125 WUS (63,1%) received support from their husbands to use contraception. The results of this study found that there was a significant relationship between knowledge and the selection of IUD contraceptives (p = 0.001). There was a significant relationship between the perception of the husband's support and the selection of IUD contraceptives (p = 0.001). This study concludes that there is a relationship of knowledge and perception of the husband's support for choosing IUD contraceptives.

Abstract

Tipan Sembiring was a Karo artist, but he was better known as a perkolong-kolong (Karo singer) around 1930-1970. Tipan Sembiring is also one of the women's groups who compose songs with quite poetic lyrics. This research aims to arrange musical arrangements for the diding enemy like the work of Tipan Sembiring. The method approach used to identify the study of the arrangement of the song Diding Musuh Suka by Tipang Sembiring is qualitative research. As for changes within the song, namely those resulting from the accumulated creative efforts of individuals or groups; and there is a change in the entire structure of tradition, as a result of internal or external pressures. The song Diding Musuh Suka by Tipan Sembiring has an interesting history related to the agreement between two singers which culminated in Tipan Sembiring's marriage to Sayang Barus, in 1937. The musical composition of this song still uses traditional musical instruments and has no variations or modulations. Even though it is said that the production was 'simple', it still took into consideration musical elements such as; tempo, rhythm, dynamics, melody, and intro. The Karo singing style is part of what is put forward as a form of cultural richness that cannot be separated from where musical activity grows and develops. The method of transcribing the song Diding Musuh Suka shows how Tipan Sembiring composed his work by prioritizing musical experience. Of course, the composition of the work is more 'tinged' with Karo culture by accommodating the Western music system

Abstract

In everyday life, humans will be faced with various forms of adjustment, ranging from simple to complex, in which there is a pattern consisting of certain elements that can be seen clearly. For example, a child who longs for his mother's love is busy with other tasks to fulfill his life's needs. This research aims to determine the factors that cause students to have difficulty adjusting. With this research, we can find out what is the cause and effect of students at UIN North Sumatra class of BKPI-2 Stambuk 2020 in adapting. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. This research design uses a phenomenological study. Data collection techniques in this research are observation and interviews. The results of this research are that researchers can find out the factors that cause students to have difficulty adjusting based on emotional, intellectual, social and physical aspects. Physical aspects, a person's physique can influence a person's adaptation process. Several conditions, including hereditary factors, physical conditions, nervous system, glands and muscles, or disease, can affect the adaptation process. The conclusion of this research is that this factor becomes an obstacle for them which makes it difficult for them to accept and get along with new people. In this case, difficult to adapt does not mean it is impossible, but it takes quite a long time to be able to enter and blend into the new environment.

Abstract

Every individual has the same right to receive proper education as appropriate. However, not all children have a parental figure who can accompany them through life during their physical and mental development. The aim of this research is to determine whether or not there is a relationship between Self Esteem and Resilience in adolescents in orphanages. The research variables discussed in this study include two variables, namely: Independent Variable : Self Esteem Dependent Variable : Resilience The subjects in this research are: Orphanage Teenagers Adolescents with junior high school and high school/vocational school education. The sampling technique used in this research is a non-probability technique , namely proportional sampling with sample data collection based on certain considerations. The results of this research show that the data correlation analysis shows that there is a significant positive relationship between Self Esteem and Resilience in adolescents in orphanages in Medan. The results of correlation testing between Self Esteem and Resilience show a value of r = 760 with p = 0.001 (> 0.05) which means The research hypothesis is accepted, which means, the higher the Self Esteem , the higher the Resilience, and vice versa, the lower the Self Esteem , the lower the Resilience.

Abstract

This research was conducted to describe the relationship between language and culture from a bilingual perspective. From a perspective, the theoretical framework is based on several factors, which are related beyond language itself. It has a relationship with the community of speakers of the language. This research uses the literature study method as material to determine the relationship between language and culture from the perspective of bilingual users. From this point of view, theories that describe the correlation between culture and language have 2 categories consisting of subordinate relevance and also theories of coordinative relevance. The first relationship is correlated with the view that culture is a primary system. While language is a subsystem. Meanwhile, the second relationship has an understanding that language and culture are two different systems, which are adhered to by humans. Culture is a system that regulates the process of human interaction. Meanwhile, language is a system that is a tool for interaction for bilinguals.
