Abstract

The implementation of the Al-Miftah Method in Nahwu learning at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Mambaus Sholihin Gresik aims to improve students' understanding of Nahwu rules functionally, addressing the weaknesses of traditional methods that focus more on memorization. This study employs a case study design with a qualitative approach, collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the Al-Miftah Method can enhance students' understanding in a gradual and contextual manner by relating Nahwu theory directly to real sentence examples. The inductive approach applied in this method successfully integrates theory and practice, strengthening students' functional understanding of Nahwu rules. An increase in active participation and learning motivation was also observed, which contributed to the improvement of students' Arabic language skills. These findings indicate that the Al-Miftah Method is an innovative solution to improve the effectiveness of Nahwu learning at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah level, which can be applied in pesantren and similar educational institutions to strengthen the functional and meaningful understanding of Arabic.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the differentiated instructional strategies in Arabic language learning based on the curriculum implemented at Madinatul Ilmi Islamic Junior High School. Using a descriptive qualitative approach and a case study method, data were collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that teachers apply differentiated strategies in three main aspects: content, process, and product. Instructional materials are adjusted according to students’ initial abilities through tiered textbooks, ranging from Kitabati to Al-‘Arabiyyah Bayna Yadayk. The learning process is designed to be flexible, employing affective and gradual approaches, while assessments are conducted formatively through tiered tasks that reflect individual student progress. Furthermore, instruction is contextualized with daily Islamic practices, such as prayer and worship, to strengthen students' understanding of religious meaning in language use. These findings offer an adaptive Arabic language learning model that responds to student heterogeneity and integrates Islamic values in an applicable way, contributing a novel perspective to the development of faith-based differentiated instruction strategies in Islamic schools

Abstract

This study analyzes the Indonesian translation of verses 75–80 from Surah Al-W?qi‘ah through the perspective of interpretative translation. The research aims to examine how symbolic and rhetorical meanings in the Qur’anic text are conveyed into the target language while maintaining the essence of the original message. Using a descriptive-analytical method, the researchers examined the Indonesian translation issued by the Ministry of Religious Affairs in comparison with the Arabic source text. The findings reveal that the translation goes beyond literal rendering, employing an interpretative approach to communicate deep concepts such as divine oath, sacredness, and revelation. The study concludes that applying interpretative translation in this context enhances the audience’s comprehension and connects the message to the local cultural framework.

Abstract

Abstract: This study explores the pedagogical role of synonym-based vocabulary instruction in Arabic language learning for beginner students. Vocabulary is widely recognized as the foundation of second language acquisition, yet the systematic teaching of synonyms has received limited attention in Arabic pedagogy. The aim of this study is to investigate how synonyms can be effectively introduced to novice learners and to assess their impact on lexical competence and communicative readiness. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, the research was conducted at Pondok Pesantren Darullughah Wadda’wah, Pasuruan, Indonesia, with a focus on 30 newly enrolled students who had minimal prior exposure to Arabic. Data were collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews, and focus group discussions with students, as well as teacher interviews and supporting teaching materials. Thematic analysis, based on Miles and Huberman’s framework, identified three key findings: first, semantic grouping of synonyms such as ???–???, ???–???, and ???–???? enhanced students’ comprehension of nuanced meanings; second, synonym learning improved vocabulary recall by associating multiple words with a single concept; and third, students expressed greater confidence and inclusivity in oral communication when exposed to lexical alternatives. The results confirm that synonym-based instruction is not merely an enrichment activity but a fundamental strategy to deepen lexical knowledge and foster communicative competence at the beginner level. This study contributes to bridging the gap between semantic theory, computational approaches to synonymy, and practical pedagogy, offering practical implications for Arabic curriculum design and classroom practice.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe the implementation of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model in teaching maharah qira’ah and to enhance students’ interest and learning outcomes in maharah qira’ah through the application of the TGT model among high school students. This classroom action research was conducted in two cycles with the participants being students of class XI-E at SMA Islam Malang. Data were collected through observation, learning interest questionnaires, and achievement tests. The findings indicate that the TGT model was implemented in five stages: class presentation, team work, games, tournament, and team recognition. This approach fostered collaborative and competitive learning, helping students comprehend Arabic texts, both explicit and implicit. Students' interest in learning increased from an average of 73.8 in the pre-cycle to 82.7 in cycle I and 83.5 in cycle II, supported by innovative learning media such as question cards and the Arabic Monopoly game. Students' learning outcomes also showed significant improvement, from 88.5 in the pre-cycle to 91.6 in cycle I and 93.5 in cycle II. These findings suggest that the TGT model is not only effective in increasing students’ learning interest but also has a positive impact on their maharah qira’ah achievement. Abstract

Abstract: Balaghah is an important part of the Arabic language that we should not neglect. This is because the benefits of learning Balaghah are not only about cognitive aspects, but also include the development of emotional aspects and skills. Because Balaghah has both scientific and artistic aspects at the same time. Therefore, learning Balaghah is one of the ways to reveal the beauty and secrets of the language and develop the learner's personality. While The learning of 'Ilm al-Ma'ani, which is a branch of 'Ulumul Balaghah, it enhanches the learner's to adjust their speech by considering the interlocutor and the situation in which they speak. This study aimed to uncover principles of 'Ilm al-Ma'ani and provide essential guidelines for teaching it, that addopted from experts and scholars in the field of Bal?ghah, especially in 'Ilm al-Ma'ani. This research is a literature study whose data is taken from books, research, and journals in the field of Balaghah. Data collection uses documentation techniques and the data is analyzed using the interactive model method, namely data reduction, display, and deduction. The findings of this study are concepts related to Bal?ghah and its branchs, of which 'Ilm al-Ma'ani is a branch. Another key result is the identification of essential guidelines for teaching 'Ilm al-Ma'ani, which Balaghah's teachers—especially those focused on this field—must consider in order to achieve the goal of this science: literary appreciation and sensitivity. These guidelines include the principles of teaching 'Ilm al-Ma'ani, its objectives, content, methods, and evaluation.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the translation techniques commonly employed in translating Arabic texts into Indonesian. Utilizing a qualitative methodology with a library research approach, this research draws data from various literature sources, including academic books and peer-reviewed journals that discuss Arabic–Indonesian translation practices. The data were analyzed using content analysis techniques to classify and interpret the types of translation methods identified. The findings reveal that M. Faisol Fatawi identifies seven translation techniques, Muhammad Apridho outlines eighteen, and Thalhah notes sixteen techniques. Among these, several techniques frequently appear across different works, particularly borrowing, calque, adaptation, and literal translation. These techniques are widely adopted by translators due to their applicability and consistency in preserving meaning and linguistic structure between source and target texts.

Abstract

The drill method that is commonly used by teachers in Class VII A of Al-Islam Joresan Junior High School in fact becomes less effective during the day, because on average students have experienced boredom and boredom in learning when the weather conditions are hot and the physical condition is tired. This condition makes the motivation and learning outcomes of the students very low. Only 10 students out of a total of 28 students in the class had their mufradat memorization scores reaching the Minimum Completeness Criteria. Therefore, the researcher tried to collaborate the drill method that is commonly used in the school with the Reward and Punishment method in the classroom to increase the motivation and learning outcomes of the students. The application of the combined method between the two, which is better known as the eclectic method, is expected to increase the students' enthusiasm for learning so that their learning outcomes also increase. This research is included in the class action research. The researcher carried out two cycles to improve student motivation and learning outcomes. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection is carried out through observation and test techniques. The analysis technique uses qualitative and quantitative data analysis. The results of this study show that the motivation to learn mufradat of Class VII A of Al-Islam Joresan Junior High School students increased. There were no students who were sleepy when the learning took place, the majority of them scrambled to answer questions about mufradat from the teacher. Their learning outcomes have increased in cycles I and II. The number of students who achieved the Minimum Completeness Criteria score in the pre-cycle was only 35.7%, in the first cycle it increased to 67.8% and increased to 92.8% in the second cycle.

Abstract

Digital media often comes to mind in today's modern-day educators, so changes are needed in the learning process in order to attract the sympathy of students and increase the enthusiasm for learning in difficult subjects, especially Arabic. Madrasah students still find it difficult to understand and understand foreign languages, especially Arabic, so many students ignore this, for problems that often arise, the author provides ideas related to social media such as audio visuals that are suitable for students in madrasas with the aim that students take part in carrying out a more flexible learning process and expect more optimal results. The researcher conducted a research at Madrasah ibtidaiyah miftahussa'adah Tangerang City on September 15, 2025 in grade 4 with an approach method that uses quantitative by involving a control class and an experimental class so as to obtain a population of 80 students and a sample of 26 students who were given interviews, observations, pretests and posttests then obtained results of 3,578 < 4,121 which stated that the hypothesis was accepted while explaining that digital media can affect students in Arabic language lessons so that it can be concluded that involving digital media in Arabic language learning can significantly affect students.
