Abstract

The phenomenon of early marriage in Indonesia tends to increase and is sometimes associated with culture, namely habits that occur in an area. This can be seen from the data that the average age of first marriage for women has decreased, while on the other hand the condition of early marriage can be said to be contrary to efforts to improve the quality of family life. The purpose of this study was to examine how culture influences women's chances of early marriage and how the phenomenon of early marriage differs between urban and rural areas. Multiple logistic regression was used in the data from the Indonesian Family Life Survey (IFLS) IV 2014. The results of the analysis show that the culture of the Sasak, Banjar, Minang and Balinese ethnic groups has a positive and significant effect, that is, the chances of girls marrying early are greater than those of other tribes and when it is associated Based on regional and religious conditions, it turns out that Bali-Java, Sumatra and Kalimantan are also positively significant in cities, while only Bali-Javanese are positive and significant in villages.

Abstract

Covid-19 is an infectious disease caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2). The virus was first discovered in Wuhan, China in late December 2019. Because the virus spreads so quickly through droplets released by infected humans, the WHO (World Health Organizer) later announced that the disease is becoming an emergency requiring infected countries to impose a lock down system to slow the spread of the virus. The COVID-19 virus was first identified in Indonesia in March 2020 and the government imposed restrictions on activity and made recommendations for health protocols to be adhered to to date to prevent spread. One of the health protocols that must be adhered to is to wash your hands 6 steps properly. Hand washing can be done with soap and clean running water, or by using a hand sanitizer. The use of hand sanitizer is easy and practical because it can be taken anywhere and does not take a long time, but its availability is limited and the price is fairly expensive. Therefore, we want to teach children and teaching staff at Miftahul Khoeriyah how to make hand sanitizer independently with the basic ingredients of aloe vera, alcohol, and essential oil. This activity was carried out on September 5, 2021 located in Madrasah Miftahul Khoeriyah Bungursari Subdistrict.

Abstract

Elderly is someone aged 60 years and over. The elderly are said to be at risk for various degenerative diseases compared to young people. One of the degenerative diseases that often occurs without symptoms is hypertension. Hypertension is called the “silent killer” because it can appear without any symptoms or warning signs, so many are not aware of it. The causes of delays in handling patients with hypertension are the majority of patients coming to health facilities when complications have occurred, and the lack of public access to health services, resulting in a lack of control over their disease state, especially in the elderly. Therefore, by conducting counseling related to hypertension, it is hoped that the role of cadres in preventing and controlling hypertension in the elderly can run optimally. This counseling aims to increase the understanding of cadres on the prevention and control of hypertension in the elderly. The main target of this program is health cadres in Cikondang Hamlet, Datar Village, Dayeuh Luhur District, Cilacap Regency. This activity includes an initial survey related to hypertension in the elderly, and conducting counseling on prevention and control of hypertension in the elderly using counseling methods and interactive discussions. The result of this community service activity is an increase in the understanding of health cadres related to Hypertension, especially efforts to prevent and control hypertension in the elderly in Cikondang Hamlet, Datar Village, Dayeuh Luhur District, Cilacap Regency.
