Abstract

This study analyzes the workload of teachers at Muhammadiyah Elementary Schools (MIM) in Srebegan using the NASA-TLX method, the Baecke Questionnaire, and Full-Time Equivalent (FTE). The respondents consisted of 19 teachers (6 male, 13 female). The results show a moderate workload based on NASA-TLX, with the lowest Physical Demand (PD) indicator aligning with the Baecke score (<7), indicating limited physical activity due to the dominance of cognitive and administrative tasks. FTE analysis indicates overload conditions for both male (1.34) and female (1.43) teachers. The difference in results between the methods confirms that workload is not only determined by teaching demands, but also by perception, experience, and additional tasks. The recommendations for this research include adding administrative staff to reduce the temporary workload and providing training for novice teachers to better prepare them for time and learning management. This effort aligns with the Minister of Education and Culture Regulation No. 15 of 2018 and supports the improvement of education effectiveness and quality.

Abstract

The high rate of occupational accidents in Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), particularly in the button map manufacturing process at PT. RR, is caused by unsafe rivet machine designs and risky work methods. This issue necessitates a feasible and integrated solution. A Methods Engineering approach was selected to combine technical and managerial interventions to create a safer working environment without sacrificing productivity. This study aims to: (1) analyze the effectiveness of rivet machine modifications in preventing accidents; (2) evaluate the impact of modified work methods on worker behavior and fatigue; and (3) measure the simultaneous balance between improved occupational safety and productivity. The research employs a mixed-methods quasi-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. The stages include: (1) problem identification and baseline analysis; (2) design and implementation of interventions; (3) participatory worker training; (4) monitoring and data collection for three months post-intervention; (5) quantitative and qualitative data analysis; and (6) evaluation and conclusion formulation. The results demonstrate a significant improvement in operational performance, characterized by a 100% reduction in work accidents (from 5 to 0 incidents), the average cycle time decreased from 21.02 seconds to 18.75 seconds, representing a 10.80% improvement in time efficiency, this indicates a 12.1% increase in productivity, rising from 1,199 units/day to 1,344 units/day. Furthermore, there was a 43.44% reduction in the defect rate, dropping from 3.20% to 1.81%, which indicates an improvement in production quality resulting from the intervention. To examine the significance of these changes, a Paired T-test was conducted. The results show a t-stat of 48.63 with a p-value < 0.001 (below the threshold of p < 0.05). These findings provide strong empirical evidence that the implemented Methods Engineering intervention had a statistically significant impact on increasing production process speed.

Abstract

This study aims to determine an appropriate inventory control policy for copper slag material by applying the safety stock (SS) and reorder point (ROP) methods at PT. XYZ. While previous studies have extensively discussed inventory control for main raw materials, this research specifically examines production support materials with highly fluctuating demand patterns in a continuous production system, which is a key novelty of this study. The research was conducted using a quantitative descriptive approach based on historical data of material usage and kiln operational activities from January to June 2025. The results demonstrate that material consumption is directly influenced by kiln operational intensity, rather than occurring randomly. The calculation yields a safety stock of 2,106.12 tons and a reorder point of 3,511.00 tons at a 95% service level. These values serve as an operational signal to prevent stockouts during lead times without causing excessive inventory levels. This study highlights that data-driven inventory management effectively enhances production system resilience against demand uncertainty in the cement industry.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration of Segmentation, Targeting, and Positioning (STP) and the 7P Marketing Mix strategies in supporting innovative leadership at SCI Media, a digital educational media institution. This research addresses the limited number of studies that examine the integration of marketing strategy and leadership within the context of technology-based educational organizations. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, using in-depth interviews, field observations, and internal document analysis as data collection techniques. The findings indicate that the implementation of STP strategies targeting digitally literate educators and educational institutions, combined with an adaptive application of the 7P marketing mix, directly contributes to the development of transformational and participatory leadership at SCI Media. More specifically, cloud-based product innovation, educational digital promotion, technology-driven work processes, and continuous learning-oriented human resource management were found to enhance team productivity, operational effectiveness, and organizational competitiveness. This study provides theoretical contributions by strengthening the conceptual linkage between marketing strategy and innovative leadership, as well as practical implications for digital educational institutions seeking to align marketing initiatives with leadership development in a dynamic and competitive market environment.

Abstract

This study analyzes and optimizes the distribution system of UD Arum Sari, a mackerel cracker producer in Mojokerto, serving 21 delivery points across East and Central Java through three main routes. Previous distribution activities relied on conventional routing decisions without mathematical optimization, resulting in inefficient travel distances and operational costs. Research applying the Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem (CVRP) in small-scale food distribution systems with fixed and variable transportation cost structures remains limited. Therefore, this study aims to minimize total distribution costs and travel distances without adding vehicles or facilities. The study employs a quantitative discrete optimization approach using the CVRP model by considering vehicle capacity, customer demand, and transportation cost components. The CVRP model was solved using a spreadsheet-based Solver optimization module with binary routing variables, capacity constraints, and an objective function to minimize distance-related transportation costs. The resulting route is optimal within the formulated deterministic CVRP model and feasible under the 1,100 kg vehicle-capacity constraint. The results show that Route A reduced travel distance from 224 km to 171.2 km with cost efficiency of 14.95%. Route B decreased from 672.8 km to 563.5 km with savings of 12.74%, while Route C declined from 617 km to 565.8 km with 6.03% efficiency. These findings confirm that CVRP improves distribution efficiency and supports effective logistical decision-making through mathematical optimization.

Abstract

Amannah Collection is a local business located in Boyolali, Central Java, Indonesia. It offers a variety of products, including T-shirts, jackets, and sports uniforms. However, production at the home industry has decreased and has not reached the target. To address these challenges, this study aims to develop products for Home Industry Amannah Collection that meet customer needs. This research was conducted using the KANO model to generate creative ideas and the QFD method to prioritize them. The study used the Kano questionnaire with 105 respondents. According to the KANO model, four attributes are classified as attractive: a dark black base color, short sleeves, a plain design, and a small-image screen-printed design. Meanwhile, using the QFD method, seven priority attributes are identified: T-shirts with a dark base color, simple designs, screen printing on only one side (front), neat and durable stitches, sizes that match customer measurements, materials that absorb sweat easily, and designs featuring image screen printing. This research aims to serve as a foundation for Amannah Collection to better understand customer needs, thereby increasing customer satisfaction and sales, as well as demonstrating the application of the Kano model in the apparel industry.

Abstract

Construction projects are among the industrial sectors with a high risk of work accidents due to unsafe working behavior and dynamic working conditions. This study aims to analyze workers’ unsafe actions using a Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) approach to improve occupational safety at CV. Adhi Putra Bantul. Data were collected through direct observation, interviews, and documentation during fieldwork activities on a two-story house construction project. The results showed several dominant unsafe actions, including not using personal protective equipment (PPE), working at heights without safety protection, manual material handling up and down stairs, and non-ergonomic working postures. Based on the risk analysis, not using PPE and working at heights without protection were categorized as high-risk behaviors. The BBS analysis indicated that unsafe actions occurred repeatedly due to the lack of safety intervention systems, limited supervision, and the absence of a structured safety culture. Therefore, several recommendations were proposed, including implementing daily safety briefings, requiring PPE, improving work ergonomics, and applying behavior-based observation checklists. The implementation of these recommendations is expected to reduce unsafe actions and improve occupational safety in construction projects.

Abstract

Climate change mitigation requires higher education institutions to identify and control carbon emission sources generated by their operational activities. Previous studies in university environments have generally focused on carbon footprint quantification without systematically analyzing the root causes of emissions and identifying priority improvement actions. Therefore, this study proposes the integration of Carbon Footprint assessment with the Seven Tools approach within a Statistical Process Control (SPC) framework to identify dominant emission sources, analyze root causes, and formulate emission reduction strategies. The study employed a quantitative descriptive method using one-year operational data consisting of electricity consumption and fuel usage. Carbon emissions were calculated based on IPCC emission factors and subsequently analyzed using selected Seven Tools, namely histogram, Pareto diagram, and fishbone diagram. The results indicate that electricity consumption (Scope 2) contributed 1,112,996.46 kg CO₂/year or 98.23% of total emissions, whereas fuel consumption (Scope 1) accounted for only 20,066.67 kg CO₂/year or 1.77%. Fishbone analysis revealed that the dominant causes originated from human behavior, inefficient equipment, lack of energy management procedures, and dependence on fossil-based electricity. The novelty of this study lies in applying Seven Tools, traditionally used for quality improvement, to carbon emission management in higher education institutions. The findings provide practical guidance for energy management programs and demonstrate that electricity efficiency and renewable energy adoption could potentially reduce institutional carbon emissions by more than 20–30%.

Abstract

This study addresses musculoskeletal disorder (MSDs) risks among manual production workers in the printing industry by integrating subjective complaint mapping, digital body-angle measurement, and ergonomic risk scoring. The objective was to quantify changes in musculoskeletal complaints and identify priority ergonomic interventions at the cutting, bending, and packaging workstations of PT Gramasurya Yogyakarta. A descriptive quantitative design was applied to three purposively selected workers representing the three critical workstations. Data were collected through direct observation, brief interviews, Nordic Body Map assessment before and after work, posture documentation, AutoCAD-based angle measurement, and REBA/RULA scoring. The NBM score increased from 31 to 40 in cutting, 32 to 54 in bending, and 39 to 76 in packaging. Postural analysis showed REBA 7 for cutting, RULA 4 for bending, and REBA 9 for packaging, with packaging presenting the highest risk due to 90° trunk flexion, 80° upper-arm angle, and 41° wrist deviation. The study contributes an integrated ergonomic evaluation pathway linking worker complaints, digital angle measurement, risk score, and intervention priority. Recommended improvements include a packaging table, hand stacker for material handling, and height-adjusted seating or worktable arrangements, with post-intervention reassessment required to validate risk reduction.
