Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the edutainment method in Al-Qur'an memorization learning at Al-Kiswah IT Kindergarten, Bengkulu City, and to examine its contribution to improving children's memorization abilities and learning experiences. The study employed a qualitative case study approach to obtain an in-depth understanding of learning practices within a natural educational setting. Data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews with school principals, teachers, and parents, as well as document analysis related to learning plans and students' memorization progress. The data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, including data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the edutainment method creates an engaging, interactive, and child-centered learning environment by integrating educational games, storytelling, songs, rhythmic repetition, movement, audiovisual media, and collaborative learning activities into the memorization process. These instructional strategies enhance children's motivation, concentration, self-confidence, and active participation while facilitating better memorization and long-term retention of Qur'anic verses. Furthermore, the method contributes to the development of positive character traits, including discipline, cooperation, responsibility, and a stronger emotional attachment to the Qur'an. The study concludes that the edutainment method is an effective pedagogical approach for supporting Al-Qur'an memorization among early childhood learners because it accommodates children's developmental characteristics while promoting meaningful and enjoyable learning experiences. The findings provide practical implications for teachers, parents, and Islamic educational institutions in developing innovative and child-friendly Qur'anic memorization programs.

Abstract

The development of the digital era that is instantaneous affects children's behavior patterns, including the ability to control themselves and patience in waiting for their turn. This study aims to describe the impact of the instant digital era on impulsive behavior and patience waiting for the turn of grade III students of SDN 76 Bengkulu City. The research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with research subjects in the form of grade III students, classroom teachers, and classroom learning situations. The data collection technique was carried out through observation and semi-structured interviews with teachers. Data analysis is carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and inductive conclusions. The results showed that students tended to show impulsive behavior, such as wanting to get a turn immediately, cutting off friends' conversations, showing impatience when queuing, and having difficulty waiting for learning results that took place gradually. These findings suggest that exposure to digital media that provides quick response and instant gratification contributes to decreased ability to delay desires and low tolerance for the waiting process. However, the ability to control impulses and wait for their turn can still be developed through discipline habituation, assistance in the use of gadgets by parents, and learning strategies that train self-regulation at school. Therefore, synergy between schools and families is needed in shaping children's character of patience and self control in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) learning model based on Project-Based Learning (PjBL) on the creativity of fifth-grade students at MIS Al Islam Bengkulu. The study was motivated by the students' low level of creativity during the learning process, characterized by a lack of confidence in expressing ideas, low participation, and limited opportunities for creative expression. A quantitative approach was employed using a quasi-experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample consisted of two classes totaling 50 students: Class V-A served as the experimental group receiving STEAM-PjBL instruction, while Class V-B served as the control group receiving conventional instruction. Data collection techniques included tests (pre-test and post-test), observation, and documentation. Data analysis involved normality tests, homogeneity tests, independent t-tests, and N-Gain calculations. The results showed that the experimental group achieved an average post-test creativity score of 83.4, compared to 70.6 for the control group; the significance value of p = 0.001 (<0.05) indicated a significant difference. N-Gain analysis revealed a creativity improvement of 0.60 in the experimental group (moderate-to-high category), whereas the control group showed an improvement of 0.23 (low-to-moderate category). Observations also indicated high levels of student engagement in discussions, project design, and the presentation of results. Thus, it can be concluded that the STEAM learning model based on Project-Based Learning (PjBL) is effective in enhancing student creativity at MIS Al Islam Bengkulu.

Abstract

Fiqh learning in Integrated Islamic Elementary Schools (SDIT) holds high expectations for character building and worship practices, yet often faces a gap between curricular ideals and classroom realities. This study aims to analyze the problems and formulate comprehensive strategies of Fiqh teachers in improving students' religious understanding and value internalization at SDIT Ummu Fathimah, Bengkulu City. This study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, involving Fiqh teachers, the principal, the vice-principal of curriculum, and students as informants. Data validity was ensured through source and method triangulation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The results indicate that the main problems include students' difficulties in understanding abstract concepts, the dominance of conventional methods, and limitations in time allocation and facilities. To overcome these, teachers implement three synergistic strategies: (1) contextual strategies and simulation (role-playing) in the classroom to bridge abstract concepts; (2) integration of interactive audio-visual media optimized despite facility constraints; and (3) strengthening value internalization through structured habituation programs, such as congregational Dhuha and Dzuhur prayers, and recitation of selected Surahs. This study concludes that shifting the teacher's role from a mere instructor to a murabbi (nurturer) through exemplary behavior (uswah hasanah) and creating a conducive environment (bi'ah shalihah) is the key to bridging the cognitive and practical gaps in Fiqh learning.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has increased young children's exposure to gadgets, creating new challenges for character formation. From the perspective of Islamic education, the use of digital technology should be accompanied by the cultivation of adab (proper moral conduct) to ensure that children use digital media responsibly from an early age. This study aims to examine the implementation of digital adab education for early childhood from the perspective of Islamic education at RA Al Islamiyyah Kemayoran, Central Jakarta. A qualitative case study design was employed. Data were collected through interviews with the principal, teachers, and parents, supported by observations and document analysis. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal three main results. First, digital adab education is implemented through the habituation of Islamic values, teachers' role modelling, and guided use of digital media in learning activities. Second, successful implementation is strengthened by collaboration between the school and families through parental guidance, continuous communication, and consistent reinforcement of positive digital habits at home. Third, digital adab education contributes to the development of disciplined, responsible, respectful, and ethically aware digital behaviour among young children. This study concludes that digital adab education should focus not merely on limiting children's use of technology but on developing Islamic character through sustained collaboration between schools and families.

Abstract

Abstract

The weakening of spiritual awareness within modern Muslim families, as reflected in the limited attention given to early faith-based education, indicates a challenge in the internalization of tawhid values in child-rearing practices. This study aims to analyze the internalization of tawhid values in the formation of Islamic parenting patterns from the perspective of Islamic family law. The research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method, with data derived from classical and contemporary literature, the Qur’an, hadith, and family law regulations in Indonesia, including Law Number 1 of 1974 on Marriage and the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI). The findings reveal that the internalization of tawhid values is not only a theological obligation but also possesses normative legitimacy within Islamic family law. Tawhid-based Islamic parenting is developed through parental role modeling, habituation to acts of worship, and consistent spiritual interactions within family life. Furthermore, challenges such as low levels of religious literacy and environmental influences can be addressed through strengthening the role of the family, community support, and the utilization of technology-based da‘wah media. This study highlights the importance of integrating normative (Sharīʿah-based) and social dimensions in the development of Islamic parenting practices and offers both theoretical and practical contributions to strengthening family education grounded in tawhid values
