Abstract

This research examines the efficiency of time management in overcoming students' learning difficulties in Aqidah and Akhlak (Islamic Theology and Ethics) learning in seventh grade at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Bengkulu. The phenomenon of students' inability to manage study time effectively underscores the urgency of this research, considering its implications for academic performance and internalisation of moral-religious values. This qualitative research with a narrative approach involved 15 respondents, consisting of seventh-grade students, Aqidah Akhlak subject teachers, and homeroom teachers. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation study, with data analysis through the stages of reduction, presentation, and verification based on the Miles and Huberman model. Source and method triangulation were implemented to ensure data credibility. The research findings identified that students' learning difficulties are influenced by internal factors such as emotional instability and sensory disturbances, as well as external factors including family disharmony, economic limitations, negative social environment, and inadequate learning facilities. Analysis of time management efficiency revealed deficiencies in long-term goal formulation, systematic planning implementation, and the proportion balance between academic and recreational activities. The research findings contribute to the development of an integrated pedagogical intervention model that accommodates time management skills in the Aqidah Akhlak curriculum. The practical implications of the research point to the urgency of collaboration among educational tricenters to create an ecosystem that supports the optimisation of students' time management skills, thereby overcoming learning difficulties and enhancing understanding and appreciation of religious values

Abstract

This study examines the challenges and solutions of Islamic educational psychology in the digital age, focusing on three core issues: digital distraction, exposure to negative content, and limited teacher digital literacy. Through qualitative literature review and thematic content analysis, the research identifies that gadget addiction and social media/gaming platforms disrupt students' learning focus, moral development, and mental health, contradicting Islamic principles like the preservation of al-'aql (intellect). Educators' unpreparedness to integrate technology with Islamic values further hinders faith-based learning effectiveness. Proposed solutions include: (1) Developing Islamic-based technological platforms (e.g., "TafsirAI") integrating Quran-Hadith content with TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) frameworks; (2) Digital moral education via creative media (e.g., animated Prophet stories) to enhance intrinsic motivation grounded in ihsan (excellence); and (3) Multisector collaboration (education institutions-digital platforms) to filter harmful content. These strategies aim to balance technological advancement with Islamic values, fostering academically proficient, digitally resilient, and ethically grounded students. The study underscores the need for holistic approaches to digital disruption, while acknowledging limitations in sample scope and calling for further research across diverse educational levels.

Abstract

This study is in the field of Islamic educational psychology and aims to build the adaptation of new students in the Islamic boarding school environment through the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Islamic (CBT-I) approach. Adaptation is an initial challenge often experienced by new students, marked by the emergence of anxiety, social difficulties, and culture shock that have an impact on the learning process and personality development. CBT-I was chosen because it integrates cognitive-behavioral techniques with Islamic values, which are relevant to the context of Islamic boarding schools. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach to a number of new students in one of the Islamic boarding schools in West Java. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the application of CBT-I helped students recognize negative thoughts, build positive beliefs based on Islamic values, and improve social and emotional abilities. This study contributes to the development of an Islamic-based psychological intervention model in the Islamic boarding school environment. The conclusion shows that CBT-I is effective in supporting the adaptation process of new students, and this approach is important to be applied more widely to support the psychological well-being of students holistically.

Abstract

The integration of digital technology in Civic Education learning is still limited to the distribution of materials, while the need for interactive teaching materials is increasingly urgent. Kodular, a website-based digital teaching material creation platform without programming skills, offers an innovative solution to increase student engagement and understanding. This study aims to analyze the effect of using Kodular website-based digital teaching materials on improving civic knowledge on the National Awakening and Youth Pledge materials at SMP Negeri 29 Bandung. The method used is a quasi-experimental method with two groups, namely the experimental group using Kodular website-based teaching materials and the control group with conventional teaching materials. The sample consisted of students in grades VIII G and VIII H, with pre-test, post-test, and satisfaction questionnaire instruments. The results show that Kodular website-based teaching materials significantly improve student understanding compared to conventional teaching materials. These findings support the development of innovative digital teaching materials to improve the quality of Civic Education learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse in depth the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in the character building of students at SMA Sheikh Abdul Qodir Al-Jailani Rangkang, Kraksaan, Probolinggo. This study focuses on the formation of the character of faith, fear of God Almighty, and noble character in the context of pesantren-based schools. The research approach used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results showed that PAI teachers play an important role in shaping students' character through their roles as teachers, mentors, and role models. The character of faith is formed through the habituation of prayer and surah memorisation; the character of piety is developed through the understanding of Qur'anic values associated with social practices; while the character of noble character is instilled through exemplary in daily attitudes and behaviour. The findings confirm the importance of integrating Islamic values in the learning process and strengthening character in the school environment. The contribution of this research lies in strengthening the contextual perspective in Islamic-based character education that is in line with the implementation of Merdeka Curriculum in pesantren-based education units

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out how the habit of practicing congregational dzuhur prayer and whether it had affects the attitude of discipline at home of grade 1 students. the population in this study was all students of class 1 SD Bunayya Pagar Alam, amounting to 61, and the sample in this study was grade 1 students, totaling using total sampling techniques and quantitative descriptive methods. The collection techniques for this research were in the form of observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The data analysis used validity, reliability, normality, linearity, and hypothesis with simple linier regression. The results of the descriptive analysis on the habit of practicing congregational dzuhur prayer were in the “ adequate” category, which was shown in the average score of 25,67. The results of the simple linier regression the showed that there was no effect of the habit of practicing congregational prayer with a disciplined attitude at home as seen based on a significance value of 0,176 > 0,05 and an R Square value 0.064 which means that only 6,4% variation in discipline attitudes at home is explained by the habit of congregational dzuhur prayers at school.

Abstract

This research seeks to pinpoint the challenges encountered by PAI educators and their resolutions in executing the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) at SMK PGRI Kota Pagar Alam. This research employs a qualitative descriptive methodology utilizing field research techniques. Information was gathered via observation, interviews, and documentation. The research sample consists of PAI teachers teaching in the 11th grade at SMK PGRI Kota Pagar Alam. The results of this research suggest that (1) there is a lack of understanding of P5 material due to limited training on the Merdeka Curriculum, (2) there is minimal use of interesting and relevant learning media, (3) there is low student engagement during learning activities, and (4) there are limitations in terms of human resources, facilities, and school budgets. In addressing these challenges, various solutions are proposed, including enhancing teacher training and guidance, developing more innovative teaching methods, implementing efficient classroom management, and providing full support from the school administration. These results aid in the advancement of Merdeka Curriculum implementation, particularly in integrating Pancasila values through PAI education. This study shows that the success of P5 implementation is greatly influenced by teacher readiness and school environment support.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools play an important role not only in spiritual and academic development, but also in shaping the independence of students in facing the challenges of the times. One of the strategies used is through the management of entrepreneurship-based business units. This study aims to describe the management of Islamic boarding schools in optimising student independence through entrepreneurship and to explain the implications of this program on the development of students' skills, attitudes, and independence. The research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method at the Al-Urwatul Wutsqo Islamic Boarding School in Jombang. Data were collected through observation, interviews with caregivers, administrators (ibu nyai, head of business units), and students, as well as documentation. Data analysis included data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The study found that the pesantren management optimises the independence of santri through various business units such as cooperatives, furniture, fisheries, agriculture, computer training centres, and clothing/sewing. Santri are educated as warriors of the Qur'an who have a spirit of jihad, do not depend on rewards, and are equipped with entrepreneurial skills to be economically independent. As a result, the students' skills are increasingly honed, they do not depend on others, can manage their free time, have a sense of responsibility, and uphold their duties. The level of independence developed by the students covers emotional, behavioural, skill, and value aspects. Islamic boarding school management through entrepreneurship has proven to be effective.

Abstract

National Assessment is presented as an improvement effort, one of which is through the Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM) and Character Survey. However, the contribution of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in supporting this assessment has not been studied in depth. This study aims to analyze the role of PAI in strengthening AKM and Character Survey, as well as identifying its implementation challenges. This study employs a literature review method. The findings indicate that PAI not only plays a role in character development but can also enhance literacy and numeracy through contextual materials such as zakat, inheritance, and analysis of the Quran and Hadith texts. The values in PAI also align with the indicators of the Pancasila Student Profile. However, there are still challenges regarding teacher readiness, infrastructure, and the suboptimal integration of assessment results into learning. This study contributes a new perspective that PAI can be an important part of the national assessment strengthening strategy.

Abstract

Leadership in education plays a crucial role in determining the direction, quality, and effectiveness of the learning process. This study examines transformational leadership based on spiritual values as a strategy to enhance the religiosity of educators and students at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) Sumenep. A qualitative case study approach was employed, with data collected through observations, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that transformational leadership at MAN Sumenep is implemented through four key dimensions: (1) Idealized Influence, where the head of the madrasah serves as a role model in religious practices; (2) Inspirational Motivation, which fosters religious enthusiasm through sermons and Islamic activities; (3) Intellectual Stimulation, involving regular evaluations to strengthen religious culture; and (4) Individualized Consideration, which focuses on the spiritual and moral development of students. This leadership approach is carried out through various programs, including congregational prayers, Quran recitation sessions, collective supplications before and after lessons, and the commemoration of Islamic holidays (PHBI). Additionally, a spiritual attendance system is implemented to monitor students' discipline in practicing religious obligations. The study concludes that transformational leadership based on spiritual values effectively fosters an educational environment that not only enhances academic quality but also strengthens students' religious character. This leadership model can serve as a reference for other educational institutions seeking to integrate spiritual values into their educational systems.
