Abstract

This research aims to identify and analyze the strategies implemented by Islamic Education (PAI) teachers to enhance the Quranic reading and writing skills of seventh-grade students at SMP Wachid Hasjim 9 Sedati Sidoarjo. The case study method is combined with a qualitative approach in this study. Through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and relevant documentation, data were gathered. The aftereffects of the review show that the technique cycle in further developing perusing and composing the Qur'an includes the job of PAI Teachers. The strategies include routine activities for 30 minutes before lessons begin, which encompass reading the Quran using the Qur’an Kemenag smartphone application and writing using the Imlak method, as well as efforts to motivate students. The challenges encountered include a limited number of PAI teachers, insufficient WIFI facilities, and diversity in students' abilities, intelligence, interests, backgrounds, and discipline. To overcome these challenges, consistent and ongoing efforts from the school are necessary, including the implementation of policies to discipline students who do not comply with or perform Quranic reading and writing activities properly. The findings of this study align with and support relevant theories and previous research on the development of Quranic literacy skills in schools

Abstract

This literature research examines the role of the Al-Qur'an Education Park (TPQ) in the formation of children's morals in Indonesia. Through a systematic analysis of current literature, this research reveals TPQ's strategic position as a non-formal religious education institution that not only focuses on teaching the Koran but also plays an important role in instilling Islamic values and character formation. Factors influencing the effectiveness of TPQ were identified, including teacher quality, curriculum, family and community support, and program consistency. This research proposes a conceptual model for TPQ development that emphasizes a holistic approach, including an integrative curriculum, teacher competency development, active learning methods, a comprehensive evaluation system, and tri-centre educational partnerships. The main challenges in developing TPQ include quality standardization, limited resources, adaptation to social change, and synergy with formal education. Significant opportunities were also identified, including national policy support, increased public awareness, and potential technology integration. Policy and practice implications are formulated, including strengthening regulations, increasing teaching capacity, and innovating learning methods. This research concludes that TPQ has great potential to contribute to the formation of a generation with noble morals, but requires systematic and sustainable efforts from various stakeholders to realize this potential.

Abstract

This research examines the application of the Al-Maraghi exegesis method and its impact on the Al-Qur'an interpretation abilities of Santri at the Kalimasada Jombang Islamic Boarding School. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, this research involved in-depth interviews with caregivers, Ustadz, and students, class observations, and document analysis. The research results show that the Al-Maraghi method has significant potential in increasing contextual understanding and the relevance of the Al-Qur'an to contemporary issues. However, implementation is still limited due to a lack of lecturer understanding, limited resources, and resistance to change. Variations in the adoption and effectiveness of these methods across institutions are influenced by factors such as institutional support and access to resources. Students exposed to this method report an increased ability to understand and apply the message of the Qur'an in a modern context. This research underlines the importance of curriculum reform, developing lecturer capacity, and providing contextual learning materials. These findings contribute to the discourse on Islamic education reform and its role in shaping an understanding of Islam that is relevant in the modern era. Research implications include the need to revitalize the curriculum, integrate contemporary approaches in Al-Qur'an exegesis, and develop more effective pedagogical strategies in teaching contextual exegesis methods.

Abstract

This research examines strategies to deal with the influence of information globalization on the nationalism of Indonesia's millennial generation. Using a qualitative literature study method, this research analyses the challenges and opportunities in maintaining the spirit of nationalism in the digital era. The results show the importance of a comprehensive approach that includes strengthening national resilience in the aspects of ideology, politics, economy, socio-cultural, and defense and security (Ipoleksosbudhankam). The main strategies include reforming the education system with the integration of nationalist values, optimizing the role of mass media, establishing a cyber war force, and increasing patriotism programs that focus on the millennial generation. The research emphasizes the importance of balancing openness to global information flows with the maintenance of national identity. In conclusion, the synergy between government policies, educational institutions, and community participation is needed to build strong national resilience in facing the challenges of information globalization, while maintaining and enhancing the spirit of nationalism among Indonesia's young generation. The implementation of this strategy is expected to strengthen Indonesia's position in facing increasingly complex global dynamics while maintaining the fundamental values of Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution

Abstract

The implementation of school rules is important to make students more discipline. This research is aimed to know whether or not the implementation school rules effect students’ motivation to learn English. This research used quantitative approach. Data collected by questionnaire, then it was analyzed using simple linier regression. The result showed that the implementation of school rules at MTs al Urwatul Wutsqo is catagorized at middle, because most of students (46,3%) implemented it in middle category. The student motivation in learning English is catagorized at middle, since many students about 44,44% were motivated in learning English. There is significant effect of school rules towards students motivation in learning English, because the result of hypothesis test showed that the t count is 4.663 > 1.65936. The result of comparing with p-value and its error showed that the significant level of implementation of school rules is known to be 0.000 < 0.05, it means that the regression coefficient for implementation of school rues is significant

Abstract

This study explores the role of higher education institutions in shaping a moderate generation through the internalization of religious moderation values within academic environments. The focus is on the Faculty of Sharia at UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon, which implements strategic approaches through an integrative curriculum, participatory teaching methods, and value-based student activities. This research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach using observations and interviews with lecturers teaching courses related to religious moderation. The findings reveal that values such as tolerance, justice, and balance are conveyed through the integration of moderation content in Islamic studies courses, the use of relevant case studies, and open classroom discussions. Students are also engaged in interfaith programs and community service projects that allow them to apply these values in real-life contexts. The study concludes that higher education plays a strategic role in shaping inclusive and tolerant student character. A holistic curriculum and an open academic environment are effective in fostering a moderate generation in a pluralistic society

Abstract

This research aims to examine the sources of conflict and strategies implemented by madrasa heads in managing conflict at MTs Al Washoya, Ngoro, Jombang. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive approach. Data was collected through observation techniques, in-depth interviews and document analysis, in order to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the source of the conflict and the madrasa head's strategy in resolving it. The results of the research show that the source of conflict arises from the first internal factor, the absence of teachers without notification and the lack of attendance of most teachers at meetings. Secondly, the unequal distribution of tasks has resulted in excessive workload for some teachers and staff. The third issue is interpersonal relations. Some teachers felt offended when they were reprimanded by picket teachers. The strategy used by madrasah heads in handling conflict is by carrying out several stages, namely analysis of the level of conflict that occurs, including identifying the characteristics of the conflict, the type of conflict, its causes and the actors involved. Next, identify the source of the problem, to understand the roots of the conflict that occurs. Then the conflict resolution process involves summoning the conflicting party for questioning and giving a personal warning. Lastly, carry out an evaluation by communicating with the parties in conflict to ensure that the solution provided resolves the conflict

Abstract

The subject of Aqidah Akhlak plays an important role in shaping students' character and noble morals. However, the material of Aqidah Akhlak is often considered less engaging and difficult for students to understand. Therefore, innovation in teaching methods is needed to address these issues. The Islamic soap opera Islam KTP episode 01, with a storyline close to the daily lives of teenagers, is seen as an effective alternative media for learning. This research is relevant because the soap opera presents the values of Aqidah and Akhlak creatively and entertainingly. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. The research subjects are MA Darussalam Ngoro Jombang students who have watched the Islam KTP soap opera episode 01. Data was collected through observation, in-depth interviews with students and teachers, and documentation. The study results show that the Islam KTP soap opera episode 01 can potentially improve students' understanding of Aqidah Akhlak material. This is evident from students' enthusiasm in participating in discussions after watching the soap opera, as well as the increase in students' understanding of the Aqidah Akhlak concepts presented in the soap opera

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the management of student students at the Al-Urwatul Wutsqo Islamic Boarding School Jombang, which integrates religious education and formal education in higher education. The approach used in this research is descriptive-qualitative, with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The research focus includes planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the management of student students. The research results show that the management of student students at the Al-Urwatul Wutsqo Islamic Boarding School is carried out systematically by applying the principles of Islamic boarding school-based education management. Apart from that, the synergy between the religious and academic curriculum has succeeded in creating a conducive learning environment, improving the quality of learning, and supporting students' character development. However, this research also found challenges in providing facilities and infrastructure and managing time between academic activities and Islamic boarding schools. It is hoped that the implications of this research can contribute to the development of educational management in Islamic boarding schools in a more effective and sustainable way.

Abstract

This study aims to explore data collection strategies in qualitative and quantitative research, with a focus on comparing methods used by academics. In the context of academic research, data collection is a crucial aspect that determines the validity and reliability of findings. This study uses a descriptive-analytical approach by analyzing various academic theses published in 2023. The results show that the qualitative method tends to use in-depth interviews and participatory observation, while the quantitative method predominantly uses surveys and experiments. Furthermore, significant variation was found in the selection of methods, influenced by the field of study and research objectives. This study provides practical insights for researchers in selecting data collection methods that align with their research needs
