Abstract

This study explores the application of Word Square learning media to enhance the memorization of Arabic mufradat (vocabulary) among seventh-grade students at MTs Muhammadiyah Pinrang. The research addresses the challenge of low vocabulary retention, a critical issue in Arabic language learning, and aims to determine whether the interactive, game-based Word Square method can enhance student engagement and memorization.A Classroom Action Research (CAR) design was employed, conducted in two cycles. Data were collected through observations, pre- and post-tests, and documentation, and analyzed using both qualitative and quantitative methods. In the first cycle, while student engagement increased, only a modest improvement in vocabulary retention was observed. Adjustments were made in the second cycle, including simplifying the puzzles and encouraging collaborative learning, which led to a significant increase in student performance.The results showed that Word Square is an effective tool for improving vocabulary retention, with most students achieving "good" levels of recall by the end of the second cycle. The interactive and collaborative nature of the activity played a crucial role in fostering a more engaging and supportive learning environment.The study concludes that Word Square can be a valuable alternative to traditional vocabulary teaching methods, offering practical insights for educators seeking to enhance language instruction. The findings suggest further research on long-term retention and the use of Word Square for other language skills could broaden the tool's applicability. Keywords: Word Square, Arabic Mufradat, Vocabulary Retention, Collaborative Learning.

Abstract

This research stems from the increasing interest in religious songs that blend spiritual messages with poetic elements. The purpose of this study is to analyze the stylistic features in the lyrics of Rahmatan Lil Alamin by Maher Zain using a stylistic approach. This qualitative descriptive research employs the stylistic theory by Gorys Keraf, focusing on language style elements such as rhetorical, comparative, and repetition styles. Data were collected through documentation techniques and analyzed using content analysis to identify and classify language styles found in the lyrics. The findings reveal that the lyrics employ a variety of language styles: comparative styles, such as similes and metaphors, are used to portray divinity and moral values; rhetorical styles, like rhetorical questions and hyperbole, emphasize spiritual longing; and repetition styles strengthen the emotional tone and the central theme of universal mercy. These stylistic devices not only enhance the aesthetic value of the lyrics but also deepen their religious meaning, making the song both artistically engaging and spiritually resonant. Keywords: Stylistics, Religious Song, Maher Zain, Arabic Language Style

Abstract

This study aims to provide an overview and examine the concept of muannats in Arabic grammatical studies. The method used for this research is the library research method, with primary data sources in the form of classical books and secondary data sources in the form of journals, books, and articles related to the titles. From the research results, it is found that muannats has a sign to show its femininity in both isim and fi'il. Muannats, according to its authenticity, is divided into two, namely muannats haqiqi and muannats ghair haqiqi. The sign of ta'nits that appears most often is ta’; ta' itself has many functions besides gender distinction. Muannats in general has fifteen signs; in isim, there are eight signs fi’il there are four signs, and object, there are three signs. Finally, there are two alifs that function as a sign of muannats, namely alif maqshurah and alif mamdudah. The ta'nits marked by alif ta'nits maqshurah can follow the wazan فُعْلَى while the sign of alif ta'nits mamdudah follows the wazan"أفعلاء" "فعالاء؛فُعْلُلاَء؛فاعولاء؛فاعلاء؛فِعْلِيَا؛مفعولاء؛فَعَلاَءُ"؛"فعللاء"فعلاء"؛أفعِلاء.

Abstract

Nativism has been a pessimistic topic when discussing its implementation in the context of children's education. This happens because the flow of its universal ability, which has been carried since birth, is not influenced by external elements like an Arabic language environment gifted by teacher value. In fact, the understanding of Nativism is not that shallow; there are several indicators that are missed when looking at implicit phenomena in the role of Arabic language acquisition without involving this understanding. Using a phenomenological approach related to the "ISMU fil Arabia" activity, the researcher would explain the Nativism learning method in the Muhammadiyah Elementary environment, which has been proven to have produced students who are able to speak Arabic without external limitations from the school environment and teachers, Among them are the ability of students to find their own vocabulary based on the results of observations with their friends based on competitive learning themes; students are psychologically more emotionally mature and have quite high confidence because they are indoctrinated to carry the name of the school through this activity approach; the themes taught in this activity are structural and can be evaluated temporally through the implementation of Arabic-based competitions that have been determined by the school. There are indications that this finding is the starting point for increasing the trust of parents in the school. this phenomenon has become one of the sources of school promotion to get a higher accreditation value that can be achieved for free.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) using digital media in teaching maharah kalam (speaking skills) at MAN 1 Klaten. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects include Arabic language teachers and students. The findings show that using digital media such as YouTube, Kahoot, Quizizz, and digital books can optimize the five main components of PjBL: fundamental questions, collaboration, product development, assessment, and reflection. The integration of digital media enhances students' creativity, collaboration, and understanding in oral communication. Additionally, digital technology provides extra motivation for students to actively participate and confidently use the Arabic language. This study concludes that digital media-based PjBL is an innovative and effective approach to language learning in the modern era. Abstract

Digital learning makes it easier to access learning, digital learning can be done on various platforms, one of which is youtube. The purpose of this research is to describe the learning content of listening to Arabic on the Arabic podcast youtube channel. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach with the content analysis method. The primary data in this study is in the form of listening learning content on the Arabic podcast youtube channel, while the secondary data in this study are books and scientific papers that discuss learning listening skills and digital learning. The data collection technique in this study uses Observation and Documentation Techniques, the Data Analysis Technique in this study uses Qualitative Analysis, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The video on the Arabic podcast youtube channel shows the use of expository learning strategies and uses a combination of two learning methods, namely the lecture learning method and the translated learning method. The material used comes from the book al kalam 100 conversations in Arabic volume 2, and is delivered in 2 languages. In addition, the media and video communication aspects selected on the ara podcast youtube channel also show the use of six principles that must be considered in the creation of media elements. Judging from the analysis of the content of the content, it allows the Arabic Podcasts channel to be used as an example or reference for content developers in creating content to learn Arabic listening skills and to acquire listening skills in students.Keywords: Listening Skills; Digital learning; YouTube مستخلص البحثيسهل التعلم الرقمي وصول التعلم، ويمكن إجراء التعلم الرقمي على منصات مختل?ة، أحدها يوتيوب. الغرض من هذا البحث هو وص? المحتوى التعليمي للاستماع إلى اللغة العربية على قناة البودكاست العربي على يوتيوب. النهج المستخدم ?ي هذا البحث هو نهج نوعي مع طريقة تحليل المحتوى. البيانات الأولية ?ي هذا البحث هي محتوى تعليمي للاستماع على قناة البودكاست العربي على يوتيوب، بينما البيانات الثانوية ?ي هذا البحث هي كتب وأوراق علمية تناقش تعلم مهارات الاستماع والتعلم الرقمي. تستخدم تقنية جمع البيانات ?ي هذا البحث تقنيات الملاحظة والتوثيق، وتستخدم تقنية تحليل البيانات ?ي هذا البحث التحليل النوعي، وهي تقليل البيانات وعرض البيانات واستنتاجها. ال?يديو على قناة البودكاست العربي على يوتيوب يدل على استخدام استراتيجيات التعلم الت?سيري ويستخدم الجماع من طريقتين للتعلم، وهما طريقة تعلم المحاضرات وطريقة تعلم الترجمة. المواد المستخدمة أ?خذت من كتاب الكلام 100 محادثة باللغة العربية المجلد 2، ويتم تقديمها بلغتين. بالإضا?ة إلى ذلك، تظهر جوانب الاتصال الإعلامي وال?يديو المختارة على قناة البودكاست العربي على يوتيوب أيضا استخدام ستة مبادئ يجب مراعاتها عند إنشاء عناصر الوسائط. ومبدأ التخصيص. انطلاقا من تحليل محتوى المحتوى، ?إنه يسمح باستخدام قناة البودكاست العربي كمثال أو مرجع لمطوري المحتوى ?ي إنشاء محتوى لتعلم مهارات الاستماع باللغة العربية واكتساب مهارات الاستماع للطلاب.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using the PQRST strategy (Preview, Question, Read, Summarize, Test) in teaching reading skills. In addition, this research examines the steps for implementing this strategy, measures students' comprehension levels after its application, and demonstrates students' learning outcomes in Maharah Qira’ah using the PQRST strategy. This study employs a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method and a non-equivalent control group design. The sample consists of eleventh-grade students at Madrasah Aliyah Al-Muddatsiriyah, totaling 58 students. The researcher divided the students into two groups: 29 students in the experimental group and 29 students in the control group. Data collection involved pre-test and post-test assessments as well as interviews. For data analysis, the researcher conducted a normality test using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, a homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing using the t-test and N-Gain test through SPSS Statistics 27. The results of this study show that the average post-test score for the experimental group (82.58) is higher than that of the control group (64.89). Based on this difference, the researcher concludes that the average score of the experimental class is higher than that of the control class. Additionally, the independent sample t-test resulted in a value of 0.00 < 0.05, indicating that ??0 is rejected and ????? is accepted. The N-Gain test score shows that the use of the PQRST strategy achieved a score of 0.61 or 61%, which falls within the moderate effectiveness category. Therefore, based on statistical tests, the PQRST strategy is declared effective with a moderate level of effectiveness in teaching reading skills.Keywords: Effectiveness, PQRST Strategy, Maharah Qira’ah. مستخلص البحثيهد? هذا البحث إلى الكش? عن مدى ?عالية استخدام استراتيجية PQRST (الاستعراض، الأسئلة، القراءة، التلخيص، الاختبار) ?ي تعليم مهارة القراءة. والكش? عن كي?ية استخدامها وخطواتها، وقياس ?هم التلاميذ بعد تطبيق هذه الإستراتيجية ?ي تعلم اللغة العربية، وخاصة ?ي مهارة القراءة، وعن نتائج تعلم التلاميذ ?ي تعليم مهارة القراءة باستخدام استراتيجية .PQRST  هذا البحث هو البحث الكمي باستخدام طريقة شبه التجريبي (Quasi Experiment) ومع تصميم المجموعات غير المتكا?ئة (Nonequivalent Control Group Design). والعينة ?ي هذا البحث من الص? الحادي عشر ?ي المدرسة الثانوية الإسلامية المدثرية، ومجموعهن 58 تلميذ. قسمت الباحثة التلاميذ إلى مجموعتين،29 تلميذ ?ي المجموعة التجريبية و29 تلميذ ?ي المجموعة الضابطة. لجمع البيانات استخدمت الباحثة على الاختبارين (اختبار القبلي والبعدي(، والمقابلة. و?ي تحليل البيانات قامت الباحثة باختبار التوزيع الطبيعي كوملوجورو? -سميرنو?Kolmogrov-Sminrov) )، واختبار التجانس واختبار ال?رضيات باستخدام اختبار Independent Sampel T- Test واختبار N-Gain باستخدام .SPSS  Statistic  27 تثبت نتائج هذا البحث أن درجات الاختبار البعدي للمجموعة التجريبية حصلت على متوسط (82،58) مقارنة بالمجموعة الضابطة (64،89). وبناءً على هذا الاختلا? الدارجة ذكرت الباحثة إلى أن متوسط درجات المجموعة التجريبية كان أكبر من المجموعة الضابطة. إضا?ة إلى ذلك، علاوة على ذلك حصلت نتائج ت مستقل (Independent Sample T-Test) هي 0،00 < 0،05 ، بمعنى ال?رضية الص?رية ( (Ho مر?وضة وال?رضية البديلة H???)) مقبولة. أما بالنسبة لنتائج اختبار N-Gain ?قد أظهرت أن استخدام استراتيجية PQRST بقيمة 0،61 أو ما يعادل 61% ?ي مستوى متوسط. وبالتالي، تشير نتائج البحث بناءً على الاختبارات الإحصائية إلى أن استراتيجية PQRST  ?عالة بمستوى متوسط ?ي تعليم مهارة القراءة. الكلمات الم?تاحية:   ?عالية، استراتيجية  PQRST، تعليم مهارة القراءة.

Abstract

This study aims to identify common weaknesses faced by university students in the Test of Arabic as a Foreign Language exam. The main focus is on Arabic comprehension skills in various aspects such as reading, writing, speaking, and listening. This study used descriptive analysis method with qualitative approach. Data were collected through students' TOAFL exam results, which were then analyzed to identify patterns of common weaknesses. This research also refers to various literatures and previous studies to strengthen the findings. The results showed that students experienced the greatest difficulties in the aspects of reading comprehension and proper vocabulary usage. Many students were unable to comprehend the text well and were often incorrect in their use of words. In addition, it was also found that students' writing and speaking skills still need to be improved, especially in terms of sentence structure and grammar. This study suggests the need for more effective teaching strategies to improve students' Arabic language skills. The recommendations include increased vocabulary practice, the use of more diverse texts in teaching, and an emphasis on a deeper understanding of grammar. Thus, it is expected that students' TOAFL exam results can improve significantly. Keywords: analysis, common weaknesses, TOAFL exam

Abstract

This research aims to explore the results of using the Think-Pair-Share strategy in teaching writing skills and to examine its effectiveness.The researcher used the quantitative method with a type of quasi-experimental design using the nonequivalent control group design. The sample was taken from classes 10-8 and 10-10, each consisting of 33 students. Class 10-10 was the experimental group using the Think-Pair-Share strategy, while class 10-8 served as the control group. The strategy was applied in writing instruction by presenting material through a projector and a workbook. Students understood the texts and vocabulary, then the teacher demonstrated how to arrange words into sentences and paragraphs before giving exercises. After that, the teacher provided questions based on the taught examples. Then, students answered individually (Think), discussed with a partner (Pair), and presented their answers in front of the class (Share).The results of this study proved that the Think-Pair-Share strategy was effective in teaching writing skills. This was evident from the increase in the post-test average score of the experimental group (77.66), which was higher than the control group's average score (58.81). Moreover, the Independent Sample T-Test results showed that the sig (2-tailed) value was 0.01, which was smaller than 0.05, meaning that the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. (شارك) .أثبتت نتائج هذا البحث أن إستراتيحية ?كر-زاوج-شارك ?ي تعليم مهارة الكتابة كانت ?عالة. ظهر ذلك من خلال زيادة متوسط درجة الاختبار البعدي للمجموعة التجريبية 77،6٦ والتي ?اقت متوسط درجة الإختبار البعدي للمجموعة الضابطة 58،81. علاوة على ذلك أظهرت نتائج اختبار-ت مستقل (Independent Sample T-Test) أن قيمة sig (۲ ذيل) 0،01 مما دلّ على أنها كانت أصغر من0،05 بحيث ال?رضية الص?رية (Ho) مر?وضة، وال?رضية البديلة (Ha) مقبولة. كانت نتيجة اختبار  "N-Gain "المجموعة التجريبية هي ٠،55 و?قا إلى معيار ?عالية  "N-Gain" هذه نتيجة على نسبة متوسطة. الكلمات الم?تاحية: ?عالية، تعليم مهارة الكتابة، ?كر-زاوج-شارك.

Abstract

This research aimed to reveal the effectiveness of using the Blooket method (Blooket) In teaching Arabic vocabulary to students of Pembangunan Islamic Middle School in Tangerang. This research coincided with the implementation of the Arabic language strengthening program in the school, as the program seeks to improve the students’ Arabic language skills. In this research, the researcher relied on the quasi-experimental method, where the students were divided into two groups: an experimental group that used the Block method to teach vocabulary, and a control group that relied on traditional methods of education. The number of students in each group was 19 students. Data were collected through tests before and after applying the educational method, in addition to questionnaires and direct observation. The results of the analysis showed that there was a statistically significant difference between the performance of students in the experimental group and the control group, as the experimental group achieved a significant improvement in vocabulary acquisition. After the researcher analyzed the data, he arrived at the averages of the two tests, the pre-test and the post-test. Based on the average results of the experimental group at a value of 89 and the average results of the control group at a value of 63, this indicates that the average results of the experimental group are greater than the average results of the control group. I analyzed the data using the t-test rule, the t-test result0(It is 7.2, so the table is at a significance level of 5% at a value of 1.677 and a significance level of 1% at a value of 2.407, and this indicates that the null hypothesis)H0(The alternative hypothesis is rejected)Ha) is acceptable. This means that the use of the Blockit method in teaching vocabulary from the perspective of the language strengthening program for students in this school is statistically significant. Keywords: Blooket, Vocabulary Teaching, Language Strengthening Program. مستخلص البحثهد? هذا البحث إلى الكش? عن ?عالية استخدام وسيلة بلوكيت (Blooket) ?ي تعليم الم?ردات العربية لدى تلاميذ مدرسة بمبانجونان المتوسطة الإسلامية ?ي تانجرانج. تزامن هذا البحث مع تطبيق برنامج تقوية اللغة العربية ?ي المدرسة، حيث يسعى البرنامج إلى تحسين مهارات اللغة العربية لدى التلاميذ. اعتمد الباحث ?ي هذا البحث على المنهج شبه التجريبي، حيث تم تقسيم التلاميذ إلى مجموعتين: مجموعة تجريبية استخدمت وسيلة بلوكات ?ي تعليم الم?ردات، ومجموعة ضابطة اعتمدت على الطرق التقليدية ?ي التعليم. بلغ عدد التلاميذ ?ي كل مجموعة ١٩ تلميذًا. تم جمع البيانات من خلال الاختبارات قبل وبعد تطبيق الوسيلة التعليمية، بالإضا?ة إلى الاستبيانات والملاحظة المباشرة. أظهرت نتائج التحليل أن هناك ?رقًا دالاً إحصائيًا بين أداء التلاميذ ?ي المجموعة التجريبية والمجموعة الضابطة، حيث حققت المجموعة التجريبية تحسنًا كبيرًا ?ي اكتساب الم?ردات. وبعد أن قام الباحث بتحليل البيانات، وصل إلى متوسطي الاختبارين الاختبار القبلي والاختبار البعدي. انطلاقا من متوسط نتائج المجموعة التجريبية على قيمة ٨٩ ومتوسط نتائج المجموعة الضابطة على قيمة ٦٣ حتى تدل على أن نتائج المتوسطة للمجموعة التجريبية أكبر من متوسط نتائج المجموعة الضابطة. وتوصلت إلى تحليل البيانات بقاعدة اختبار "ت" نتيجة ت الحسابية (t0) هي ٧،٢ ?الجدول عند مستوى دلالة ٥% على قيمة ١،٦٧٧ ومستوى دلالة ١% على قيمة ٢،٤٠٧ وهذه دلت أن ال?رضية الص?رية(H0) مر?وضة وال?رضية البديلة (Ha) مقبولة. وهذا يعني أن استخدام وسيلة بلوكيت ?ي تعليم الم?ردات من منظور برنامج تقوية اللغة لدى تلاميذ هذه المدرسة دال إحصائيا.  الكلمات الم?تاحية: وسيلة بلوكيت، تعليم الم?ردات، برنامج تقوية اللغة.
