Abstract

Students are faced with the challenge of producing quality and credible scientific papers. One important aspect of scientific papers is mastering citation and reference writing. This skill is often a weakness for students, thus triggering the desire to conduct community service. This community service aims to improve students’ ability to master the practice of manual citation and reference writing. The method used for this a community service was a training employed through lecturing, demonstrating, making group-discussion, and practicing. Hopefully, the program can improve the quality of students' scientific papers. The training program is important for the scientific papers, which was implemented for students. The results describe that equipping students with manual skills in citation and improving the quality of academic writing is urgent. The success of the program was evident with high participant satisfaction and significant improvement in the mean scores of the students’ feedback; satisfaction with training materials (4.28), satisfaction with the instructors (4.22), satisfaction with training facility (4.09), satisfaction with participant engagement (3.94), and level of understanding and application (4.20). Overall, the mean score is 4.1. The evaluation results suggest significant improvement in the pre-test’s mean score (61.65) and the post-test’s mean score (89.46). The program is expected to imply that students have an increased ability to compose quality scientific writings with accurate citations and references accurately and academically.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve digital literacy and cybersecurity awareness in Paiton Sub-district as a response to the increasing risk of cybercrime in the community. The approach used involves the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method by involving various stakeholders, including the sub-district government, education office, and caregivers of Islamic boarding schools. The mentoring process includes a series of activities such as intensive training, interactive workshops, awareness campaigns through various media, as well as individual and group mentoring. These activities are designed to provide the Paiton community with a deep understanding of cyber threats, personal data protection techniques, and digital ethics. The results of these activities show significant improvements in digital literacy and changes in community behavior in using technology more safely. The formation of new institutions in the form of community groups and local cybersecurity teams is also evidence of the effectiveness of this collaborative approach. In conclusion, this service activity succeeded in creating social transformation by raising collective awareness of the dangers of cybercrime and producing a community that is more skilled in facing modern digital challenges. This program is expected to serve as a model for similar efforts in other regions to improve digital security and broader community welfare.

Abstract

 Financial literacy is a long-term investment that is useful in managing finances effectively. Financial literacy is the key to managing finances wisely. PT. Infinity General Consulting as a consulting company operating in various financial fields certainly needs to have a social responsibility to contribute to increasing the financial literacy of its employees.  Employees who have good financial literacy will not only be more productive and prosperous but can also become agents of change in the surrounding environment, consisting of 7 employees and 11 members of the general public who took part in this service activity. The main aim of this activity is to provide an introduction and knowledge about the capital market in order to broaden understanding and improve financial literacy skills, especially in capital market investment, to employees and the general public. The method in this service is Focus Group Discussion as a way to increase financial literacy among employees. The results of this activity show that by increasing financial literacy among employees of PT. Infinity General Consulting provides an understanding of economic principles, financial systems and financial management which is expected to be able to optimize personal finances and contribute to the company's progress in creating a responsible financial culture in the work environment. The implications of this service provide information to the public about the importance of managing financial literacy in long-term investments and PT. Infinity General Consulting as the first-class trading consultant in West Nusa Tenggara.

Abstract

The Healthy Living Community Movement (GERMAS) is an initiative The Healthy Living Community Movement (GERMAS) is an initiative introduced to encourage people to be more careful in maintaining their health. This movement covers various aspects, from managing physical and mental health, to managing a healthy environment. This health education aims to provide an understanding of how to live a healthy life in a healthy environment. This movement also aims to reduce environmental pollution that can cause disease, such as air pollution and polluted water. This can be done in various ways, starting from increasing public understanding of a healthy environment and increasing access to environmental services. In this extension we use the socialization method via PowerPoint media. Efforts to create a healthy society require active participation from all parties, especially the entire community. The Healthy Living Community Movement can play an important role in reducing health-related diseases such as heart disease, diabetes and cancer. And helps reduce environmental pollution that can cause disease. In this journal, we will discuss the implementation of the Healthy Living Community Movement and the appropriate steps that can be used to encourage people to be more competent in maintaining health.

Abstract

Bahan ajar berbasis Teknologi Informasi Komputer (TIK) menjadi salah satu tuntutan sekolah dalam pengembangan metode pembelajaran. Sekolah Dasar (SD) Negeri 1 Celuk adalah salah satu sekolah dasar negeri yang berada di wilayah Kabupaten Gianyar. Permasalahan yang saat ini terjadi dalam proses belajar mengajar adalah kurangnya peralatan teknologi pendukung pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan oleh para guru seperti LCD proyektor. Kemampuan para guru dalam membuat materi pembelajaran yang menarik masih sangat kurang. Pengelolaan kelas dan tugas siswa saat ini masih dilakukan secara sederhana yaitu siswa mengerjakan pada buku tugas kemudian mengumpulkannya di kelas. Solusi permasalahan yang dimiliki sekolah adalah pengadaan peralatan teknologi pendukung pembelajaran, pelatihan penggunaan canva dalam pengembangan materi pembelajaran, serta pelatihan penggunaan google classroom dalam manajemen pembelajaran. Luaran kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah menambah sarana pendukung pembelajaran berbasis TIK hingga 50% dari sebelumnya, 90% Tenaga Pendidik/Guru mampu membuat materi pembelajaran yang menarik dengan aplikasi canva, 100% Tenaga Pendidik/Guru mampu melakukan manajemen pembelajaran dengan Google Classroom.

Abstract

Pelatihan public speaking menjadi keterampilan yang sangat dibutuhkan oleh mahasiswa Universitas Bumigora dalam mendukung keberhasilan akademik dan profesional. Meskipun demikian, banyak mahasiswa yang masih mengalami kesulitan dalam berbicara di depan umum, seperti rasa gugup, kurang percaya diri, dan ketidakmampuan menyampaikan ide secara jelas dan terstruktur. Oleh karena itu, pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan public speaking mahasiswa dengan penerapan metode Presentation, Practice, and Production (PPP). Metode ini terdiri dari tiga tahapan, yaitu: Presentation, yang memperkenalkan teori dan konsep dasar public speaking; Practice, yang memberikan kesempatan kepada mahasiswa untuk berlatih berbicara di depan kelompok kecil; dan Production, yang mengharuskan mahasiswa untuk menyampaikan presentasi secara mandiri di depan audiens. Program pelatihan ini melibatkan mahasiswa dari berbagai program studi di Universitas Bumigora dan dilakukan dengan pendekatan partisipatif, yang memungkinkan mahasiswa terlibat aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam keterampilan berbicara mahasiswa, termasuk dalam aspek percaya diri, teknik komunikasi verbal dan non-verbal, serta kemampuan mengatasi kecemasan saat berbicara di depan publik. Dengan demikian, metode PPP terbukti efektif dalam membantu mahasiswa Universitas Bumigora untuk mengembangkan keterampilan public speaking yang lebih baik dan siap menghadapi tantangan komunikasi di dunia akademik dan profesional.

Abstract

Dumaring is a village located in Talisayan District, Berau, East Kalimantan. Dumaring Village has many natural resources, one of which is the butterfly pea flower (Clitoria ternatea) which is widely planted by the community as an ornamental plant. Butterfly pea flowers are known to have various health benefits. In this community service activity, we educate the people of Dumaring Village by conducting socialization of the health benefits of butterfly pea flowers and demonstrating the making of butterfly pea flower infused water as a health drink for people with hypertension and diabetes mellitus

Abstract

The Islamic Education Foundation faced serious challenges in IT infrastructure, which led to a lack of access to information as well as a new student admission process that was still done manually. This condition not only hampers administrative efficiency, but also reduces the interest of prospective students to register. To overcome these problems, the development of an official website and online PPDB system is a strategic step that aims to increase transparency and accessibility of information. A Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, which involves the active participation of the entire service team in problem identification to solution implementation, was used to ensure the success of the project. The results of the programme showed significant improvements in administrative efficiency. The developed website serves as an effective information platform, while the online new student database system speeds up and simplifies the registration process. Training for staff and students also improved their IT skills, which had a positive impact on social change within the organisation. The application of technology in this educational context proved crucial in improving service quality and operational efficiency, making this programme a model that can be adopted by other educational institutions facing similar challenges in the digital age.

Abstract

Business communication is communication used in the business world which includes various forms of communication, both verbal and non-verbal to achieve a certain goal. Counseling on business communication in entrepreneurship in the digital era at the Fajar Harapan Pekanbaru Orphanage is an activity that can provide knowledge and understanding about business in entrepreneurship in the digital era and the importance of effective communication. The method of community service activities using socialization and discussion is considered quite appropriate to explore the problems experienced by marketers, so that effective solutions can be obtained. This counseling activity was also welcomed by the local orphanage. This service was carried out at the Fajar Harapan Pekanbaru Orphanage. Based on the results of the community service activities, this counseling went smoothly with good teamwork and the active participation of all participants and it is hoped that it can provide benefits for participants, especially in training good communication skills in entrepreneurship and being able to develop their businesses by utilizing technology and the internet.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi AI yang pesat mempermudah pengembangan media, namun tidak semua guru SMK mampu mengikutinya. Tulisan ini bertujuan mendampingi pembuatan media pembelajaran animasi interaktif untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di SMK Kota Mataram. Media ini diharapkan meningkatkan motivasi, partisipasi, dan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi teknis yang kompleks. Metode pengembangan yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah model Klasikal dan simulasi yang meliputi tahapan analisis kebutuhan, perancangan media, pengembangan produk, uji coba lapangan, serta evaluasi dan revisi. Hasilnya, media animasi interaktif dinilai efektif meningkatkan pemahaman konsep, menarik minat siswa, dan membuat mereka lebih aktif dalam belajar. Uji coba menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada hasil belajar dibanding metode konvensional. Kesimpulannya, media animasi interaktif memberikan dampak positif pada kualitas pembelajaran di SMK dan diharapkan dapat diadopsi lebih luas untuk mendukung pembelajaran inovatif dan efektif.
