Abstract

Allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis (ABPA) is an allergic lung disorder characterized by an exaggerated immune response to fungal allergens, particularly from Aspergillus fumigatus. ABPA leads to excessive mucus production and impaired mucociliary clearance. When A. fumigatus conidia are inhaled, they germinate, release exoproteases and other substances that further impede mucociliary clearance, and activate the immune response. The immune response is known by an exaggerated Th2 response to Aspergillus antigens, leading to production of IgE antibodies, eosinophilic infiltration of the lungs, and the formation of immune complexes. These immune complexes can deposit in the lung tissue, leading to airway inflammation, bronchiectasis, and fibrosis. This disease mainly occurs in individuals diagnosed with bronchial asthma and cystic fibrosis. Increased levels of A. fumigatus total IgE and specific IgE, IgG, and IgA antibodies, play a role in diagnosing patients with ABPA.

Abstract

The general suggestion that behavioral science plays a part in creating abnormalities within the financial sector has been studied and proposed many times in the past. This study aims to prove the existence of behavioral sciences, specifically herding behavior, in three countries with different market conditions: Indonesia (Emerging), Vietnam (Frontier), and the United States (Developed). We developed our methodology using quantile regression to study the existence of herding behavior, and our findings were as follows: (1) As expected, the US didn’t have any indication of a statistically significant herding presence; they do, however, indicate an insignificant presence of herding behavior in the post-covid period under bearish conditions (2) Vietnam does not indicate significant herding tendencies, (3) Surprisingly, Indonesia did not exhibit statistically significant herding presence, but both Indonesia and Vietnam exhibited the slight presence of herding behavior but still relatively insignificant.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the unintended consequences of tax exemption policy on Land and Building Tax (PBB) for Sales Value of Tax Objects (NJOP) on properties under Rp 1 billion. Using Ordinary Least Square (OLS), this study analyzes data from PBB and BPHTB (Land and Building Rights Acquisition Fees) on the land and building’s certifications as well as the sales and property transactions, during the period of 2012 to 2019 in 267 sub-district areas within DKI Jakarta. This study learnt that the greater the number of the tax entities that received tax exemption in one sub-district, the greater the number of certifications as well as transactions (sales and purchases of property) under Rp 1 billion. This was consistently found within the sub-districts that were included in the non-flood-prone category, but not within the flood-prone sub-districts where the correlation was only significant for the certifications

Abstract

In road network evaluations, road performance is assessed from structural and functional aspects. Typically, road surface roughness measurements rely on expensive, imported instruments. Therefore, this research developed a prototype roughness measuring tool using an ultrasonic sensor, which is more cost-effective. This study aims to calibrate the "Ultrasonic Surface Roughmeter" prototype and evaluate its accuracy in measuring the International Roughness Index (IRI) as a reference for road maintenance. The prototype was tested through calibration with the standard tool, Gap Man Working Profilometer. Data were collected from several road segments of a specified length, and measurement results were analyzed through descriptive statistics to compare data from both tools. The calibration results indicate that the prototype achieved a high accuracy level, with a correlation value of 99.51% and a confidence level of 97.05%. The Cronbach's alpha value of 1.0 shows excellent internal consistency, with an average measurement difference of approximately 3.11%.The "Ultrasonic Surface Roughmeter" prototype can serve as a valid and economical alternative for measuring road surface roughness

Abstract

Legal Problems of Erecting Buildings on Waqf Land Owned by Others Based on Law Number 41 of 2004 concerning Waqf (Case Study of Decision Number 21/Pdt.G/2021/PN/BNA) Waqf land is a form of giving movable or immovable property for the benefit of worship and general welfare by Muslims. And the purpose of waqf procurement should not be changed in any form to deny the pledge of the waqf deed itself.  The normative research method is used in this study to study the social and moral values of the community about changes in the function of waqf land without permission from the waqf and the Indonesian waqf body. This research uses several data collection results from a collection of legislation, Government Regulations, books, doctrines, documents and various other secondary legal sources. The results of the study stated that: 1) in this case, the erection of buildings that should not be allowed was only decided to dismantle the fence because it had cost a considerable amount. 2) in the legal considerations of the judge in the decision of case Number 21/Pdt.G/2021/PN/Bna, it is not appropriate because it tends to lean towards the elements of justice and legal certainty so that the element of usefulness is ignored and denies the fulfillment of obligations contained in article 5 of Law Number 48 of 2009 concerning the power of judges

Abstract

This study aims to develop alternate strategies for completing the creative economy Intellectual Property collateral financing policy so that it may be implemented in Indonesia. The methods used descriptive qualitative research with SWOT analysis to analyze the implementation of Intellectual Property-based financing schemes' supporting and inhibiting factors. The preparation of alternative strategies based on the SWOT matrix produces nine strategies. The nine alternative strategies produced were evaluated and tested using four practical policy analysis criteria: Effectiveness, Efficiency, Legality, and Administrative Robustness. Three primary recommendations emerged from testing alternative approaches: first, a plan to fortify industry regulations related to financial services, which will serve as a model for financial institutions implementing credit provisions based on Intellectual Property collateral and expediting the realization of financing products backed by Intellectual Property Rights. Second, a plan to standard Intellectual Property valuation formula or economic value of Intellectual Property and establish an ecosystem for the Intellectual Property market to promote more consistent Intellectual Property valuations and third, managing credit risk through joint ventures with insurance companies, the debtor will pay the insurance costs that allow the Bank or Financial Institutions to transfer risks to third parties if the Intellectual Property value declines.

Abstract

This study explores the factors influencing the use of microlearning in the public sector by applying the DeLone and McLean Information Systems Success Model (DMISM). The study focuses on the role of overall quality, compatibility, and transformational leadership in shaping the actual use of microlearning systems. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 317 employees of Indonesian Government Financial Institutions (Lembaga Keuangan Pemerintah) through an online survey. The data were analyzed using covariance-based structural equation modeling (CB-SEM) in LISREL 8.8. The results indicate that overall quality, compatibility, and transformational leadership have significant and positive impacts on the actual use of microlearning systems. Among these factors, compatibility emerged as the strongest predictor of use. The findings suggest that improving the quality of microlearning content, aligning it with employee preferences, and developing a supportive leadership environment are key to increasing the adoption and effectiveness of microlearning in public sector organizations. Further research is recommended to explore other potential factors and expand the scope to other government sectors
