Abstract

Non-communicable diseases are the leading causes of death in the world. The World Health Organization reports that 40 million people in the world suffer from non-communicable diseases in 2016. Non-communicable diseases have contributed to 73% of deaths in Indonesia where 26% occurred in adulthood. The purpose of this service is to increase public knowledge about the prevention control of risk factor non-communicable diseases. The method used  interactive lecture. The number of participants in this activity was 30 people who were vulnerable to non-communicable diseases. The results showed that there was an increase in knowledge about the prevention control of risk factor non-communicable diseases with the average difference in the pre-test 60 and post-test knowledge 75. Increasing public knowledge about efforts to prevent and control  non-communicable diseases risk factors can be realized by using appropriate education and creative methods so that people will more easily understand the material provided.

Abstract

Early breastfeeding minimizes the risk of infant mortality by 45%. As many as 65% of newborns receive food other than breast milk in the first three days.. The results of a preliminary study conducted in the Sungai Rengas Health Center Work area, obtained data in May 2022, there were 605 postpartum mothers and the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding (0-6 months) was still low, namely 278 babies (36.9%) in 2021. This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge and skills of mothers about the SPEOS method as a non-pharmacological alternative in increasing breast milk production of postpartum mothers in the Sungai Rengas Health Center Working Area. The method used was health education with lecture and demonstration methods on the steps of the SPEOS method involving 5 postpartum mothers, 10 family members and 4 accompanying posyandu cadres. After health education activities and demonstrations of the SPEOS method, there was an increase in knowledge about the SPEOS method both from the cognitive and psychomotor aspects..

Abstract

This training was conducted to provide understanding and knowledge to students of superior class XII IPA 1 and superior class XII Social 1 about TOEFL because many of them did not know what TOEFL was, what was the importance of TOEFL, what are the forms of TOEFL, and what were the strategies for answering TOEFL questions correctly. The methods used in this training were lectures, discussions, exercises, and discussions. All costs for implementing PkM activities came from the PkM implementing team personnel. The results of the activity show that students have knowledge and understanding related to TOEFL test questions and TOEFL skills material. This is due to the training methods of the instructors and positive responses from students. It is suggested that this activity can be continued regularly in the future.

Abstract

The main objective of this research is to train and provide assistance to elementary school teachers in Pulau Beringin District, Ogan Komering Ulu Selatan District (OKUS) in making web-based interactive learning media (MPI BeWe). Using the Technical Assistance method in the form of Training and Workshops which is carried out by providing training and workshops with steps: socialization, practice, mentoring, and evaluation. One of the obstacles to the development of multimedia learning media is the lack of mastery of ICT-based multimedia learning media development technology by teachers so the development of ICT-based multimedia learning materials is not optimal. Especially elementary school teachers in the Beringin Island District, South Ogan Komering Ulu Regency (OKUS). After carrying out this activity, it can be concluded that elementary school teachers in Pulau Beringin District, Ogan Komering Ulu Selatan (OKUS) Regency who were participants in the training and mentoring for the creation of BeWe MPI-based learning media (Web-Based Learning Media) succeeded in making learning media in the form of blogs. The implementation of the training has been able to achieve the expected goals, this can be seen from the tasks given to participants which can be completed properly.

Abstract

The Marching Line Regulation is an extracurricular activity to foster a sense of unity, responsibility and discipline in carrying out orders appropriately and quickly. The purpose of this community service is to instil the values of the discipline of student council members at Budi Utama Junior High School Yogyakarta against the rules and orders in the activities of the Marching Row Regulation. The method is used through the direct practice of Line-Marching. The process of instilling disciplinary values applied in UN activities is in the form of accuracy, obedience and compliance. The results of the assessment evaluation showed that the average assessment of the cultivation of disciplinary values obtained excellent criteria of 83% and good by 17%. The average results indicate the success of the implementation of training in the context of this community service.

Abstract

This service aims: to provide socialization and counseling on the prevention of TB disease to increase public awareness about the dangers of TB disease and its prevention. The activity method used in this service is in the form of training/workshop and the results of the training are presented to teachers and students. Through stages 1) lecture 2) simulation 3) exploration 4) mentoring and 5) evaluation. The target audience or participants in the counseling were students of SMA 1 Bengkayang State. The results of the service activities show that the community is very enthusiastic about participating in counseling activities as seen by the very good response. Considering that this activity is very important to increase students' knowledge, this activity can be continued in other lower-class communities so that they can maintain a clean environment so as to avoid infectious diseases such as tuberculosis

Abstract

According to Pekanbaru Mayor Regulation Number 152 of 2017, one of the special requirements to become RT/RW head is having and being able to operate a smart phone. Facts on the ground can be seen in daily activities, RT/RW administrators rarely respond to information on the existing RT/RW forum WA group. If there are people who are still like that, don't know the function of the existing smart phone features, don't fully know the function of social media, especially WA which has been installed on their smart phone, don't understand or are not able to use social media as a medium for meetings, one of for example zoom meetings. Based on these two contradictory things, the PKM team has provided a solution to partners, the Tuahmadani sub-district RT/RW forum, in this case represented by the mothers of the Majlis taklim of the Nurul Ikhlas RW01 mosque, Tuahmadani sub-district, through a training activity called Cyber Eduvation for six months. . As a result, they were very satisfied with the knowledge provided, communicated smoothly via WA, and no longer worried that their Android cellphone memory would be full.

Abstract

In the world of education, the National Education Standards (SNP) act as the main guide that directs and guarantees the quality of learning across the country. learning across the country. More than just a set of rules, the SNP are important milestones that guide schools and educators to create effective and high-quality effective and high-quality learning processes. Quality Standards Education Quality Standards are the cornerstone that underpins the education system to achieve equality and sustainability. Abstract

Leadership style training plays a significant role in enhancing the motivation of entrepreneurial spirits. This activity aims to boost the entrepreneurial drive among members of the Pangrango Village Family Welfare Movement (PKK) in the Kadudampit Subdistrict, Sukabumi Regency. The focus is on developing effective leadership styles. The training seminar involved a total of 29 participants and was conducted through offline brainstorming sessions, enabling participants to interact directly and profoundly. Brainstorming sessions provided a platform for participants to share their perspectives, experiences, and thoughts on entrepreneurship and leadership. This approach facilitated open and collaborative discussions, thereby enhancing the understanding of challenges and opportunities in entrepreneurial development. The outcome of this training was an increased entrepreneurial motivation among the seminar participants. With a better grasp of effective leadership styles, participants are expected to apply these concepts in their efforts to develop and manage their own businesses. Furthermore, this training can also foster a spirit of collaboration and innovation, which are key factors in entrepreneurial success.
