Abstract

This socialization activity aims to introduce and provide knowledge and insight to students at the SMK Swasta HKBP Pematang Siantar about the TOEFL test. The socialization activity regarding the introduction of TOEFL to vocational school students, was held on December 5, 2023. Participants in this socialization activity were 12 grade vocational school students totaling 20 people. Participants gain new knowledge about the TOEFL test. There were three phases in conducting this socialization, namely preparation, implementation and evaluation. The results obtained from this socialization activity are, they know and understand what the TOEFL test is, types of questions in the TOEFL test, number of questions tested in the TOEFL test, duration and time for completing TOEFL questions, tips & tricks for studying TOEFL and also the importance of TOEFL test. This socialization can also increase student's motivation to study English more seriously. They can view the TOEFL exam as a challenge to overcome and as a first step towards success in their future academic and professional careers. From the results above it can be concluded that this activity gave a positive impact for the students in the future

Abstract

TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) has become one of the requirements for applying for jobs, continuing studies, and a standard for graduating students from college. The value of the TOEFL test has been recognized by 110 countries. The aim of this socialization activity is to increase the understanding of 20 students in class This socialization activity uses a lecture method in delivering material using PowerPoint, a question-and-answer session, and discussions regarding the extent to which they know about TOEFL and the obstacles they experience in understanding TOEFL. The location for this socialization activity is at Sentosa General High School, Jalan Benjamin BP. Mandoge, Huta Padang, District. Mandoge Sand City. And it will be held on November 1, 2023. In writing this article, the researchers used qualitative descriptive methods in collecting data. The result of this socialization activity is that students of class XII IPS SMAS Umum Sentosa can comprehend more about TOEFL with its benefit and some other important points to be prepared.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to train teachers in Serdang village, Beringin sub-district in designing innovative teaching modules according to the demands of the independent curriculum, which will be implemented in October-November 2023 with partners as the principal of SD Negeri 101917 and the head of Serdang village, Beringin sub-district, Deli district. Serdang. The location of the activity was held at the Serdang Village meeting office with a capacity of 80 participants. The results of the activities obtained from observations show that the overall achievement of the goals that have been set appears to be in the "very good" category because the indicator value (I) = 4.603 ≥ which means that the activity implementation process has been carried out well. From the evaluation results of PkM activities, it can also be seen that there is a decrease from the evaluation results during PkM activities to the evaluation results after PkM activities, namely from an average of 90.86% down to an average of 89.79%. From the results of the total average of medium completion and high completion, it shows that the motivation of training participants in developing innovative learning processes, designing innovative learning programs according to the demands of the independent curriculum, innovating teaching modules based on innovative learning models, and becoming professional teachers according to the demands of the independent curriculum has increased.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) tentang “peran dan manfaat utang dalam rumah tangga” Edisi ke 1 dilaksanakan pada Desember 2017 dengan sasaran ibu-ibu perwiridan RW 03 Perumahan Graha Bangun Permai. Selanjutnya kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) tentang “pengenalan sisi negatif utang dan pengelolaannya dalam rumah tangga Edisi ke 2 dilaksanakan pada 01 September 2023 dengan sasaran ibu-ibu perwiridan RT 01 Perumahan Graha Bangun Permai. Tujuan diadakannya PKM edisi ke2 ini adalah untuk mensosialisasikan peran negatif utang, dan memberikan edukasi, bila utang sendiri tidak dapat dikelola dengan baik.

Abstract

Real work lectures (KKN) are a form of community service activities by students with a cross-scientific and sectoral approach at certain times and regions in Indonesia. Implementation of thematic KKN activities usually lasts 4 months or 6 months). In village level areas. The Directorate General of Higher Education in Indonesia has required every university to implement KKN as an extra-curricular activity that combines the tri dharma of higher education, namely: Education, research and community service. Mainstay village is one of the villages in Bayan sub-district, North Lombok district. Where mainstay villages are villages where the average population works as farmers and livestock breeders, regarding the work of residents in mainstay villages, students found a problem that became the basis for making work programs, namely the lack of knowledge of the people in mainstay villages about managing natural resources. As we know, it is important to utilize or rely on natural resources to improve the economy. Based on this situation analysis, the implementation of the thematic KKN community service program for building villages is to help the mainstay village government of Bayan sub-district, North Lombok district to provide outreach on managing natural resources such as how to process cassava into snacks or snacks.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of the Accounting Information System (AIS) at Waroeng Fake. The research methodology involves literature review, direct observation, and interviews with the management. The findings indicate that the implementation of AIS at Waroeng Fake has enhanced financial management efficiency and inventory control. The conclusion of this research is that AIS plays a crucial role in supporting the effective operations of Waroeng Fake.

Abstract

This study delves into the efficacy of combining brain-stimulating articles with interactive sessions in a WhatsApp group to improve coffee knowledge and practice. The study, which draws on cognitive learning theory and practice-based learning theory, investigates how this strategy fosters a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and mastery among baristas at Bash Coffee Company. Baristas actively develop knowledge and increase their understanding of coffee theory by offering properly picked articles. The articles include industry news, developing trends, and advanced methodologies, allowing baristas to properly encode, store, and retrieve coffee-related knowledge. The interactive sessions supplement article-based learning by promoting information exchange, concept clarification, and practical application. Baristas participate in real-world discussions, seek advice from expert facilitators, and share their experiences with others. This collaborative setting promotes development, innovation, and skill refining. The inclusion of brain-stimulating content and interactive sessions in the WhatsApp group enables baristas to excel in their coffee practice. This strategy not only improves knowledge, but also provides clients with unique coffee experiences. The study's findings provide useful insights for coffee firms looking to foster continuous learning and excellence in their baristas.

Abstract

Padang Sinar Minang Restaurant is a culinary business that is quite busy with visitors from the Alloggio cluster. Therefore, this research aims to investigate the influence of Alloggio visitors' interest in Padang Sinar Minang Alloggio Restaurant. To conduct this research, a qualitative research method was used with data collection through questionnaires. Data was collected from a research sample of 56 respondents living in the Alloggio cluster. The findings show that there is high buying interest from visitors to Alloggio residents towards the Padang Sinar Minang Alloggio Restaurant. This high buying interest is demonstrated by the frequency of consumer purchases, which at least once a week make a purchase at the Padang Sinar Minang Alloggio Restaurant. The main factors that influence this interest are price and taste (80.4%) where consumers think that the Padang cuisine offered has an appropriate price and taste. The higher the consumer's buying interest, the greater the interest of visitors from Alloggio residents to make purchasing decisions at the Padang Sinar Minang Alloggio Restaurant.

Abstract

Empowering KWTs in utilizing yard land is one way to fulfill needs without having to buy it. The yard around the house can be a place for farming activities which have a big role in meeting family needs. Yards are basically used for various purpose.goals, for example as a living dispensary, increasing family income. However, limited knowledge of vegetable cultivation is an obstacle in the vegetable production process. So there is a need for training on the use of yard land at KWT Srikandi. Therefore, the aim of this activity is to increase the knowledge and insight of KWT women in cultivating their yard with various vegetable plants and kitchen spices which can provide additional income for the family. The method used is the lecture method and direct training with several stages, namely preparation, counseling, training and mentoring. Efforts to utilize homestead land have had a good impact on the farmer groups of Bentiring Permai subdistrict.
