Abstract

The 1st edition of PKM Efficiency Digital Marketing activities was carried out in October 2020, and the 2nd Edition of PKM Utilization of Digital Marketing activities was carried out in February 2023, with the target still being home, micro and small businesses in Tarai Bangun Village, Tambang, Kampar, who continue to struggle, and reach to be able to increase the competitiveness of products post-pandemic covid 19 by utilizing developments in internet technology within the frame of digital marketing (digital marketing). The fact has spoken that digital marketing is a must to choose, if you want to expand your marketing area and keep your business going. The real benefit of digital marketing is the opportunity for penetration and wider market reach. Abstract

The health and nutritional status of children is one of the issues and problems faced in Indonesia, one of which is malnutrition. Data shows that the incidence of malnutrition in children aged 6-23 months in Indonesia reaches 11.4% for undernutrition, 30% for stunting and 11.7% for wasting. This nutritional problem is related to food intake that is not in accordance with the nutritional needs of children, including the provision of complementary food for ASI which is of poor quality and not optimal. The aim of this study was to increased the knowledge and skills in making complementary foods for ASI. The community service method used in this study is in the form of health education and assistance in the practice of making MPASI. The result showed that there was an increase in knowledge and skills in making complementary foods for ASI. Suggestions for the future are that mothers can empower themselves by increasing knowledge about patterns of supplementary feeding for children from various sources.

Abstract

Penyalahgunaan data pribadi dalam platform digital menjadi salah satu permasalahan hukum yang saat ini banyak terjadi di Indonesia sejalan dengan perkembangan Revolusi Industri ke-4. Penyalahgunaan data pribadi di platform digital ini didukung oleh rendahnya kesadaran akan pentingnya perlindungan data pribadi oleh pemilik data itu sendiri. Dalam kata lain, pemilik data saat ini tanpa kehati-hatian mengunggah data diri mereka ke platform digital. Tujuan dilakukannya penyuluhan hukum di lingkungan SMAN 4 Bandung adalah untuk menciptakan dan menumbuhkan kesadaran akan pentingnya melindungi data pribadi baik milik sendiri maupun orang lain. Metode yang digunakan dalam penyuluhan hukum ini adalah metode ceramah, tanya jawab, serta diskusi kepada peserta penyuluhan hukum. Hasil dari kegiatan penyuluhan hukum ini adalah upaya-upaya yang dapat dilakukan dalam melakukan penyuluhan hukum perlindungan data pribadi serta tanggapan positif dari peserta penyuluhan hukum yang sebelumnya tidak mengetahui mengenai regulasi perlindungan data pribadi di Indonesia dan menumbuhkan kesadaran bahwa data pribadi yang dimiliki mereka adalah penting untuk dijaga.

Abstract

Di era digitalisasi saat ini, setiap orang semakin mudah untuk melakukan transaksi jual-beli online melalui E-Commerce, tak terkecuali siswa-siswa SMA dengan kisaran umur 15 tahun sampai 18 tahun yang memiliki akses akan internet melalui ponsel pintar. Tujuan dilakukannya penyuluhan hukum di SMA Pasundan 1 Bandung adalah untuk menumbuhkan kesadaran atas pentingnya perlindungan konsumen dalam transaksi jual-beli online, sebab siswa-siswi SMA merupakan kelompok rentan akan dampak buruk internet. Metode yang digunakan dalam penyuluhan hukum ini adalah metode pendekatan street law, ceramah, diskusi, dan tanya jawab antara komunitas dengan fasilitator. Hasil kegiatan penyuluhan hukum ini adalah siswa-siswa dapat mengidentifikasi hak dan kewajiban para pihak transaksi jual-beli online serta upaya preventif dan upaya represif saat bertransaksi agar dapat berhati-hati dalam melakukan transaksi jual-beli online.

Abstract

Education activities on water management and peatland utilization were carried out in Kuta Padang Villages, Bubon Subdistrict, West Aceh Regency. Involving 20 participants, including village officials, this water management education emphasized the importance of peat rewetting (Rewetting) and canal closure as the main strategies in addressing degradation and the risk of peatland fires. Through the Focused Group Discussion (FGD) method, participants were taught about fluctuations in groundwater levels, the identification of canal blocking construction, and the utilization of peatlands for agriculture. The results of the activity showed an increase in community understanding of the impact of peatland ecosystem damage and its connection to land fires. Education also discussed fluctuations in groundwater levels as a crucial element in water management, providing a better understanding of groundwater dynamics in peatlands. The selection of efficient food and horticultural crops for shallow peatlands became a focus in land utilization for agriculture.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to explore and highlight the effectiveness of TOEFL introduction outreach activities at SMA N 4 Pematang Siantar. The research method used is a quantitative descriptive method. In the preparation stage, the location of the activity was determined after internal discussions of the research team, and permission from the school was obtained. Open materials, such as PowerPoint, laptops, and projectors, are carefully prepared. The implementation stage includes introductions, TOEFL material presentations, and question and answer sessions, while the evaluation stage includes giving reading tests to students. The results of outreach activities show effectiveness in preparing students to face the TOEFL exam. Active student participation, relevant questions, and understanding seen from the reading test results indicate that the objectives of this activity have been achieved. This research provides a basis for the development of similar programs in other schools. The success of this activity can be used as an example to improve students' understanding of TOEFL in the future. The TOEFL introduction socialization activity at SMA N 4 Pematang Siantar succeeded in achieving learning objectives and had a positive impact on class XII PMIA 1 students

Abstract

Pemberdayaan ekonomi kreatif melalui home industri bagi perempuan komunitas adat terpencil (KAT) di desa Perigi Raja, Kecamatan Kuindra, Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir, dilakukan dengan tujuan mendalami aktivitas pengolahan pucuk nipah sebagai home industri kreatif. Proyek ini bertujuan menemukan model yang tepat untuk meningkatkan kreativitas dan nilai fungsi dalam mengelola home industri. Selanjutnya, upaya dilakukan untuk mengubah mindset perempuan suku laut di Desa Perigi Raja agar dapat menjadi kreatif dan inovatif dalam mengolah lidi pucuk nipah menjadi berbagai produk bernilai jual. Pengabdian ini mencakup pelatihan langsung, dampingan, dan kerjasama dengan pihak terkait. Perempuan komunitas adat terpencil (KAT) Muslim, khususnya suku laut atau suku Duano, di Desa Perigi Raja memiliki potensi untuk mengembangkan kewirausahaan keluarga menuju ekonomi kreatif. Beberapa langkah positif telah diambil, seperti pengembangan pola kerja "Bapak Angkat," penguatan jejaring antar perempuan miskin, dan pembangunan budaya kerja "learning by doing."Namun, masih terdapat hambatan, termasuk keterbatasan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan, rendahnya modal usaha, serta keterbatasan akses terhadap informasi dan pasar. Oleh karena itu, pemangku kebijakan diharapkan berpihak pada perempuan rentan ekonomi, terutama dalam komunitas adat terpencil, melalui kebijakan dan program strategis baik di tingkat pusat maupun daerah. Hal ini penting untuk mempercepat pembangunan sektor ekonomi keluarga yang rentan terhadap kemiskinan.

Abstract

This community service aims to introduce and provide new knowledge, understanding and insights to the students at SMK GKPI 2 Pematang Siantar about TOEFL. There were 25 participants in the socialization activity, consisting of students from class in the lecture session, the researchers gave the participants the opportunity to ask question about the material that had been explained and provided. The lecture session is a session where the researcher provides material regarding TOEFL, namely: understanding TOEFL, types of TOEFL, benefits and uses of TOEFL, how to access free TOEFL practice, TOEFL test costs and places as well as tips and tricks for doing TOEFL test questions quickly and easily via PowerPoint. Meanwhile, the discussion session is a question and answer session between participants and researchers regarding the material that has been presented during the socialization activity. The result obtained from the socialization activity are: (1) participants gain new knowledge and insight about the importance of TOEFL, such as what is TOEFL; types of TOEFL; benefits and use of TOEFL; TOEFL test and location; tips and trick for answer TOEFL question quickly and correctly, (2) the participants were very enthusiastic to take part in this socialization activity.

Abstract

TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) has now become a main requirement for career advancement or continuing higher level education. Many schools and campuses have a vision to prepare their students from an early age to be ready to enter the world of work by requiring TOEFL as a graduation requirement. This socialization aims to increase knowledge and information about TOEFL for class XII IPA 2 SMAN 4 Pematang Siantar, totaling 31 students. This activity was carried out using a lecture method by the socialization team using power points, a question and answer session, as well as discussions about TOEFL and its benefits. The location of this socialization activity was Jalan Pattimura No. 1, Pahlawan, East Siantar District. Carried out on November 20 2023. In writing this research journal used a qualitative descriptive method in collecting data. The results of this socialization activity can be concluded that students understand the socialization material. This can be seen from the structured delivery of material and the social activity schedule that is prepared so that it can help students focus more on understanding the material. Apart from that, several questions in the question and answer session show that the material can be absorbed by students well.

Abstract

This study aims to conduct socialization regarding the introduction and benefits of TOEFL to grade XII students at Teladan High School in Pematang Siantar. This service activity was held a day on December 14, 2023. The implementation was carried out by the lecture and training method. Lectures and training in the form of material delivery on TOEFL and its benefits in the world of education. This research was conducted at Teladan High School Pematang Siantar involving 38 students of class XII MIPA 4. This socialization implementation consisted of three sessions, namely giving pre-test questionnaires about the TOEFL test, lecture sessions or explanations of socialization materials about the TOEFL test, and discussion sessions and giving post-tests to test students' understanding of socialization materials. The results of this socialization activity showed that students who participated in the initial socialization were not familiar with TOEFL and had never heard of it before. However, after gaining knowledge about TOEFL through socialization, their understanding increased and they were very enthusiastic. Post-test results showed a significant improvement until 30% in student scores if compared to pre-test
