Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil wawancara melalui WA dengan salah seorang wakil kepala sekolah di sana, beliau mengatakan bahwa pelajar kami belum meraih prestasi apa pun dari kegiatan atau perlombaan Bahasa Inggris. Begitu juga jika dilihat dalam keseharian atau dalam Kegiatan Belajar dan Mengajar (KBM), kemampuan Bahasa Inggris mereka masih sangat standar sekali. Terkait dengan data awal di atas, Tim PKM FADIKSI-UNILAK memilih nagari Tanjung Balik sebagai mitra untuk menjadi target dalam Tridarma perguruan tinggi, khususnya pengabdian dengan judul “Pelatihan LLS (Language Learning Strategies) untuk Pelajar Sekolah Menengah di Nagari Tanjung Balik Solok-SUMBAR). Kegiatan ini telah dilakukan pada tanggal 17-19 Desember 2025 yang telah dihadiri oleh 40 orang siswa dan 4 orang guru. Setelah Tim PKM berbagi strategi belajar Bahasa Inggris, menurut laporan dari salah seorang guru, kegiatan ini sangat posistif karena setelah diamatinya siswa/I mulai memiliki motivasi dan semangat untuk belajar Bahasa Inggris.

Abstract

Based on the results of an interview via WA with one of the vice principals there, he said that our students have not achieved any achievements from English activities or competitions. Likewise, when viewed in daily life or in Teaching and Learning Activities (KBM), their English skills are still very standard. Related to the initial data above, the FADIKSI-UNILAK PKM Team chose the Tanjung Balik village as a partner to be a target in the Tridarma of higher education, especially community service with the title "LLS (Language Learning Strategies) Training for High School Students in the Tanjung Balik Village Solok-SUMBAR). This activity was carried out on December 17-19, 2025 which was attended by 40 students and 4 teachers. After the PKM Team shared English learning strategies, according to a report from one of the teachers, this activity was very positive because after observing it, the students began to have motivation and enthusiasm to learn English.

Abstract

Forest and land fires (Karhutla) are recurring ecological disasters in vulnerable regions such as Indragiri Hilir Regency. One of the main triggers is the lack of public awareness regarding land ownership legality and weak legal literacy in land administration. This study aims to enhance community legal awareness through legal education activities on the importance of land registration administration and law-based land management as a preventive measure against Karhutla. The method employed is a qualitative participatory approach through field observation, discussion, and evaluation during a community service program in Teluk Dalam Village, Kuala Indragiri District. Participants included village officials, community leaders, and land users. The findings show increased understanding among participants regarding land registration procedures, legal sanctions for land burning, and the importance of legality in securing land rights. The interactive discussions also revealed a shift in public attitude towards traditional land clearing by burning. This study concludes that community-based legal education is an effective approach to developing sustainable legal awareness in fire-prone areas.

Abstract

Violence against women and children remains a pressing social issue, particularly in rural areas where access to legal services and information is limited. This community engagement activity aimed to enhance legal awareness and empower local communities in preventing and addressing acts of violence through legal education and grassroots empowerment. The study employed a participatory qualitative approach integrated into a legal outreach program conducted in Teluk Dalam Village, Kuala Indragiri District, Indragiri Hilir Regency. Methods included field observation, interactive lectures, and participatory evaluation. The results showed a significant improvement in participants' understanding of legal rights, types of violence, and reporting mechanisms. Active community participation in discussions and reflections indicated a shift in perception, where violence was no longer seen as tolerable but as a violation requiring action. The conclusion of this activity emphasizes that community-based legal education is an effective strategy for building legal awareness and strengthening local protection systems for vulnerable groups.

Abstract

The students have lack of the vocabulary, difficult to identify the main idea, supporting idea, factual information of the text and guessing meaning of the word. The purpose of this activity was to explain whether CIRC technique can better improve students’ reading comprehension and to identify the factors that influence the changing of students’ reading comprehension. In addition, the kind of the community service was an action in teaching and learning process, reading comprehension by using CIRC. Moreover, the result of this activity was the students reading comprehension has improved from activity I to activity II. The score of students in activity I was 70.16 and activity II was 84.38. The improvement was 14.22 point. It concluded that the students’ reading comprehension has improved significantly by using Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) Technique.

Abstract

Financial education should start at an early age. Financial management aims to form good money management habits, minimize the risk of wasteful behavior, and prepare young people to make more mature financial decisions in adulthood. Unfortunately, most parents do not direct their children how to manage the pocket money given so that children tend to behave consumptive. In line with the research of Jorgensen & Savla (2019) which emphasizes the importance of the role of parents in providing financial education, combined with formal education at school. This study aims to determine the importance of financial education in improving children's money management skills with an educational approach in the form of learning through UIN Salatiga's community service program. The method used in this research is direct observation in North Kiringan Hamlet. The results showed that the lack of financial education in children can lead to poor financial management, low financial independence, and vulnerability to fraud. The implication of this research can prevent poor financial management, trigger an attitude of financial independence, reduce opportunities for financial investment fraud.

Abstract

This community service (PKM) was carried out by students of IAI Darussalam Martapura, Early Childhoood Islamic Education study Program, Faculty of Tarbiyah. To better understand the methods and media that should be taught to early childhood. The purpuse of this community service is so that prospective educators and educators understand more about the learning that will be carried out for early childhood through interesting media and methods so that children do not get bored easily in following the learning. The methods used are teaching, discussions and mentoring to students and teachers who have been invited, namely KB Aisyah and KB Cempaka Putih.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve students' Arabic writing skills through a calligraphy media approach. This study uses the ABCD (Aset Based for Community Development) approach where the author actively assists activities through In Class Training (ICT) in calligraphy extracurricular activities every Saturday at MI Negeri Salatiga. There are 15 students participating in this calligraphy extracurricular activity, consisting of 7 female students and 8 male students. The results of this study indicate that holding calligraphy extracurricular activities at MIN Salatiga can improve students' accuracy, writing skills, and focus levels. These results were obtained based on observations, interviews, and documentation. Writing skills training is carried out by introducing variations of naskhi script to students. The introduction of this script is carried out since elementary school because it will be related to students' ability to express their imagination, thoughts and feelings through writing.

Abstract

This service aims to analyze the role of the Darul Falah Al-Qur'an Education Park (TPQ) in Tulungrejo Village, Pare, Kediri in forming the character of students through mentoring, continuous training and advice in forming religious, independent and communicative character in children through learning activities and internalization of Islamic values. TPQ plays an important role through habituation activities to foster positive religious character from an early age based on Islamic teachings. Achieving success in learning depends on the material presented and the methods used in learning. But in this case it is definitely not an easy thing. The problem in this case is the lack of human resources and the lack of consistency when implementing learning methods.

Abstract

This service aims to help Stik Talas MSMEs to register products in retail businesses. This service begins with the observation process, administrative management, dissemination and preparation of service activity reports. The service team educates partners about the importance of improving the quality and quantity of their products. In this activity, education is also given on the importance of expanding the market to sell their products. Furthermore, the service team helped Stik Talas MSMEs to fill in the forms on the digital application that must be fulfilled by business owners if they want to market their products in retail businesses. All documents that must be inputted into the system have been carried out jointly between the service team and partners. The success of this activity is expected to spur all MSMEs to continue to increase the marketing expansion of their products so that it will have an impact on increasing the sales volume of business products.
