Abstract

Poverty in Sukoharjo Regency through empowerment programs run by LAZISMU Sukoharjo. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that the management of ZIS by LAZISMU Sukoharjo has transformed from a charitable approach to productive economic empowerment, through micro business capital programs, skills training, education scholarships, and health services. These programs have a positive impact on increasing mustahik income, reducing dependence on aid, and growing awareness of zakat in the community. However, some challenges are still faced, such as low Islamic financial literacy, limited human resources, and competition between ZIS institutions in the area. This research recommends the need for synergy between institutions and digitalization of the management system to expand the reach and effectiveness of the ZIS program. Thus, ZIS can be a strategic instrument in sustainable poverty alleviation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work motivation and job skills on employee performance, as well as to evaluate the role of employment status as a mediating variable in three-star hotels located in the Legian area of Bali. The background of this research is based on post-pandemic conditions that have triggered major changes in employment structures, such as the rise of the gig economy, operational cost efficiency, and a decline in job stability. The study was conducted in three purposively selected three-star hotels, involving 190 operational employees as respondents, focusing on frontline service workers. This research adopts a quantitative approach using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) as the analysis technique. The results indicate that work motivation and job skills have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Moreover, employment status significantly mediates the relationship between motivation and skills toward performance. These findings offer meaningful contributions to the development of human resource management strategies in the hospitality sector, particularly by integrating skills training, motivation enhancement, and the provision of more stable employment status as efforts to create a more productive and competitive work environment.

Abstract

The integration of the Al-Qur'an memorization curriculum with the formal curriculum is an important aspect in realizing the goals of education and the memorization program simultaneously. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Al-Qur'an memorization class curriculum at MTs Pembangunan UIN Jakarta. This study uses a qualitative approach with a field research type. Data collection techniques used include observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the Al-Qur'an memorization class curriculum at MTs Pembangunan UIN Jakarta is designed with the main objective of forming the habit of memorizing the Al-Qur'an and understanding it intensively. The Al-Qur'an memorization material includes a memorization target of 10 juz within a period of three years. The method used in the learning process is the talaqqi method, while memorization evaluation is carried out through sima'an, namely listening to the memorization of one to five juz in front of the examiner. This study provides a significant contribution to understanding and developing the implementation of the Al-Qur'an memorization class integrated into the formal education curriculum. By describing the model of integration between the tahfiz curriculum and the national curriculum implemented in schools, this study reveals how this integration can increase the effectiveness of learning to memorize the Qur'an systematically and sustainably.

Abstract

The digital transformation taking place in the financial sector not only affects people's transaction patterns, but also expands access to various investment instruments. One instrument that shows significant convergence in the digital era is gold. Gold, as a traditional asset with safe haven characteristics, is now increasingly accessible through digital banking platforms provided by banks, including Bank Syariah Indonesia. This study aims to explore digital banking optimization strategies towards gold investment opportunities as an alternative long-term investment in Bank Syariah Indonesia. The approach used is exploratory qualitative, with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews and documentation studies. Data analysis was conducted using the SWOT approach and strategy formulation through the TOWS matrix. The findings show that although the digital gold investment feature is available on most of Bank Syariah Indonesia's platforms, the utilization rate is still relatively low. The contributing factors include lack of customer education, lack of integration of investment analytics features, and unoptimized user interface design. Suggested strategies include improving educational features, developing a risk profile-based investment recommendation system, and strategic collaboration between banks and sharia-based fintech platforms. This research is expected to provide theoretical contributions in the development of digital financial services strategies as well as practical contributions for the banking industry in increasing digital-based investment inclusion.

Abstract

In the current era of globalization, challenges are increasingly emerging from various aspects of life. To address these challenges, it is necessary to instil a foundation of faith that begins in every family. The practice of worship within the family is a form of Christian religious education. Family worship plays a vital role in the spiritual and moral development of family members. Regular worship activities, such as prayer, Bible reading, and discussions about Christian teachings, not only strengthen faith but also shape children's character. Through family worship, the values of Christ's teachings can be instilled, creating an environment that supports spiritual and emotional growth. Furthermore, worshiping together serves as a means to strengthen relationships among family members, enhance communication, and teach the importance of love and understanding. Thus, the implementation of worship in families becomes a solid foundation for Christian learning, which is hoped to shape a generation with strong faith and responsibility in daily life.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the implementation of a mastery learning approach in enhancing verse comprehension in Al-Qur'an Hadith subjects at MA Hamasatul Muslimin Indonesia. Unlike conventional learning that emphasizes memorization, this study examines a systematic approach that prioritizes deep understanding of verse meanings before proceeding to subsequent materials. The research method employs a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis utilizes Miles and Huberman's interactive analysis model with triangulation to ensure data validity. The research findings show that mastery learning implementation is conducted through orientation and presentation stages, structured practice in the form of muhadharah, guided practice with teacher assistance and peer tutoring, as well as independent practice through basic competency examinations. This approach creates learning that is not limited by space and time, positioning teachers as facilitators who encourage students' critical and reflective thinking. The findings indicate that the mastery learning approach is effective in developing contextual and applicative understanding of verse meanings, integrating cognitive, affective, and psychomotor dimensions holistically. This research contributes to the development of understanding-based learning practices in Islamic religious education and can serve as a reference for developing innovative learning strategies in Islamic educational institutions

Abstract

This study explores tax efficiency practices in Indonesia’s basic and chemical industry sectors during the economic uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic. It examines the influence of profitability, capital structure, capital intensity, and audit committee on tax efficiency, with liquidity as a moderating variable. Employing a quantitative causal associative approach and Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) using SmartPLS 3.3.2, the research analyzes 9 IDX-listed companies from 2019 to 2023. The results show that capital intensity and audit committee positively affect tax efficiency, while profitability and capital structure have no significant impact. Liquidity does not directly influence tax efficiency but strengthens the relationship between capital structure and capital intensity with tax efficiency. However, liquidity does not moderate the effects of profitability and audit committee. The findings indicate that in capital-intensive industries, tax efficiency is more influenced by asset utilization and governance mechanisms rather than profitability or leverage. The study emphasizes the importance of firm-specific characteristics in tax planning, especially during macroeconomic volatility. It contributes to the discourse on ethical and sustainable tax management by offering insights for policymakers and corporate financial managers on the role of liquidity and internal governance in shaping tax behavior
