Abstract

Corruption in Indonesian education is still a serious problem that threatens the integrity and quality of educational institutions. This study aims to analyze the forms of resistance to corruption that emerge in the educational environment and to formulate effective strategies in strengthening anti-corruption culture. Using a qualitative approach based on literature studies, this study examines literature, official reports, and national survey data related to corruption practices and resistance in the education sector. The results of the study indicate that resistance to corruption has begun to grow significantly, both at the institutional and personal levels. Forms of resistance include the integration of anti-corruption education into the curriculum, the habituation of a clean culture in schools and campuses, and the active participation of teachers, students, students, and the community in monitoring and reporting violations. Data from the 2024 KPK Education Integrity Assessment Survey (SPI) shows an increase in awareness and participation of education actors, although the application of anti-corruption values is not yet evenly distributed and consistent. This study emphasizes the importance of synergy between educational character, transparent governance, and the use of information technology as a strategy for corruption resistance. This study recommends strengthening anti-corruption literacy and sector collaboration to create a clean, transparent, and integrated educational environment.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the moral and spiritual teachings embedded in Serat Tasawuf, a classical Sundanese manuscript written in Pegon script, which represents an important part of the Islamic manuscript heritage in the Indonesian archipelago. The text presents a systematic exposition of Sufi teachings, including the ethical obligation to guard bodily faculties, avoid blameworthy inner traits, and cultivate virtuous character. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach with a comparative analytical method, the study integrates philological analysis with perspectives from personality psychology. The findings reveal that the structure and substance of Serat Tasawuf align with Erich Fromm’s theory of productive character and Gordon Allport’s concepts of trait and psychological maturity. The manuscript not only offers individual spiritual guidance but also emphasizes social values such as empathy, simplicity, and resilience in the face of life’s trials. Thus, Serat Tasawuf can be positioned as a relevant Sufi text for the development of an ideal personality (insan kamil) in contemporary society. This interdisciplinary study makes a significant contribution to the development of character education models grounded in local Islamic manuscripts and humanistic psychology.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the accounting practices applied in the recording and reporting of accounts receivable on credit sale transactions by medium-sized wholesalers and to determine the extent to which these accounting implementations contribute to the management of accounts receivable in order to maintain cash flow and operational stability of the business. This study employs field research with a descriptive qualitative approach, aiming to explore the accounting practices of accounts receivable in credit sale transactions among medium-sized wholesalers in Sembuluh Village, Central Kalimantan. The subjects of the research were determined through purposive sampling, namely wholesalers who apply a credit sales system and are directly involved in recording accounts receivable. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, which were then validated using triangulation techniques. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, which includes data collection, reduction, presentation, as well as conclusion drawing and verification. The research results indicate that the practice of accounting for accounts receivable among medium-sized wholesale traders in Sembuluh Village is still carried out manually and simply. Record keeping is done without using a computer system, relying only on receipts and notebooks, and is not organized in a regular manner or according to accounting standards. Although this recording is useful for identifying customers in debt and billing schedules, the limitations in the recording system and the absence of formal financial reports result in ineffective management of receivables, which does not support cash flow continuity and business stability.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Wafa Method in improving Quran reading and memorization skills at the Abdi Marier Islamic Boarding School in Paiton, Probolinggo. The background of this research is based on common problems in Quran learning, such as difficulty understanding the makharijul huruf (letter pronunciation), Sifatul huruf (letter pronunciation), and weak memorization consistency due to less interactive learning methods. The Wafa Method, with its visual, audio, kinesthetic, hand gesture, and Hijaz song approaches, is offered as an innovative, enjoyable and systematic solution. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design, using observation, interviews, and documentation techniques, involving the boarding school administrators, teachers, and students. Data analysis was conducted thematically with triangulation of sources and methods to ensure data validity. The results indicate that the implementation of the Wafa Method at the Abdi Marier Islamic Boarding School proceeded according to procedure, supported by thorough planning, certified teachers, creative learning media, and high student motivation. As a result, the majority of students were able to read the Quran according to Tajweed rules with an average score above 80, and achieved their memorization target. Challenges encountered included difficulty pronouncing certain verses and the limited effectiveness of the Hijaz song for long verses. This study concludes that the Wafa Method is effective and relevant as an innovation in Quran learning and can serve as a model for other Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

Indonesia as one of the world's largest cocoa producers faces competitiveness challenges due to declining production and low added value due to the dominance of exports in the form of raw beans. This study aims to analyze the determinants of transaction costs among cocoa farmers in Sukadana Subdistrict, East Lampung Regency with an Islamic economic approach. The study used a quantitative method through a cross-sectional survey with primary data from 99 cocoa farmers selected by purposive sampling. Data analysis used ordinary least square multiple regression to test the influence of frequency, institutional, social capital, trust, and extension variables on transaction costs. The results showed that trust and frequency of interaction had a significant positive effect on transaction costs, while institutionalization and social capital were not significant. The study concluded that the frequency of transaction costs can be minimized by eliminating transportation costs from farmers to the market, as well as the importance of good communication between administrators and members in the institutional aspect. The contribution of this research is the understanding that transaction costs in Islamic economics include not only financial aspects but also social aspects such as justice, trade balance, and business ethics according to Islamic principles.

Abstract

This article aims to examine the integration of the four main components of the curriculum objectives, content, instructional strategies, and evaluation, in order to enhance the quality and effectiveness of education in Indonesia. The primary focus of this study is to explore how the synergy among these components supports the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum and the development of a holistic, character-based education. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method through a literature review approach. Data were collected from eight relevant national journal articles discussing the concepts, practices, and evaluations of curriculum integration across various educational levels. The analysis was conducted using comparative and interpretative techniques to synthesize findings. The study reveals that successful curriculum implementation highly depends on the coherence between educational goals, the relevance of learning materials, context-based teaching strategies, and comprehensive evaluation systems. Fragmentation among curriculum components tends to result in partial and ineffective educational practices. Therefore, an integrative curriculum model is urgently needed to unify these four components in both curriculum design and classroom implementation. This model is recommended as a strategic approach in the ongoing national curriculum reform.

Abstract

Da'wah plays a central role in the process of spreading and developing Islam in Indonesia. The two largest Islamic organizations in the country, namely Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) and Muhammadiyah, show different styles of da'wah approaches in principle. Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) adopts a cultural-based da'wah model, which accommodates Islamic values into local traditions, while Muhammadiyah carries a purification-based da'wah approach, which focuses on purifying Islamic teachings in accordance with the principles of the Qur'an and Hadith. Although these methodological differences have been widely researched, there is still a void of in-depth studies on the effectiveness and impact of these two approaches in the context of modern society, especially in the face of the dynamics of globalization and digitalization. This study aims to find out the history of the birth of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) and Muhammadiyah and comparatively examine the culturally-based da'wah strategy of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) and purification-based Muhammadiyah. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method with a comparative study approach. The results of this study reveal that Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) and Muhammadiyah have different da'wah approaches, with NU promoting cultural-based da'wah while Muhammadiyah emphasizes a purification approach. Both play an important role in building a religious and progressive society amid the challenges of globalization and digitalization in Indonesia.

Abstract

Cost management in Islamic education plays a pivotal role in ensuring the sustainability and quality of educational services. In the current era of globalization and digital transformation, Islamic educational institutions face a range of challenges, including limited funding, unequal access to education, inefficient budgeting, and the lack of digital financial systems. These issues demand a reconstruction of cost management concepts that not only emphasize efficiency but also incorporate transparency and Islamic ethical principles. This article aims to develop a conceptual model of cost management in Islamic education through a literature study by analyzing various theories of educational economics, funding practices, and case studies from Islamic institutions across Indonesia. The findings indicate that an integrative approach based on sharia principles, digitalization of financial systems, and the utilization of alternative funding sources such as productive waqf and corporate social responsibility (CSR)—offers a strategic and sustainable solution. This study also highlights the importance of strengthening human resource capacity in financial management and fostering institutional collaboration to optimize resource use. Therefore, reforming the financial management system grounded in Islamic values is a strategic step toward creating inclusive, high-quality, and competitive Islamic education in the modern era.
