Abstract

Indonesia's economic growth has shown a positive trend in the last decade. Income inequality and unequal access to resources are still major issues for people's welfare. Inclusive development and industrialization have emerged as alternative solutions to address these challenges. This study aims to analyze the impact of inclusive development and industrialization on welfare in Indonesia. This type of research is quantitative with an explanatory design, using secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and other official institutions from 2012–2022. The analysis method used is panel data regression. Inclusive development indicators are measured through the inequality index (Gini Ratio), labor force participation rate, and local government social spending. Industrialization is measured by the industrial sector's contribution to GDP, the number of industrial business units, and labor absorption. People's welfare is represented by the Human Development Index (HDI), poverty rate, and open unemployment. The study results show that inclusive development contributes significantly to increasing welfare, mainly through reducing inequality and increasing HDI. Industrialization has a positive impact, but its influence is more maximal if accompanied by a fair economic distribution policy. This study emphasizes the importance of integrating industrialization strategies and inclusive approaches to achieve sustainable and equitable prosperity.

Abstract

The research intends to examine the idea of madrasah environmental management through the lens of the Qur’an and Hadith as a means to establish a clean, healthy and religious educational setting. This research demonstrates that management extends beyond administration, encompassing environmental factors that facilitate the execution of education. This research emplys a qualitative method through a literature review strategy, which involves gathering and examining literature from pertinent primary and secondary sources, including verses from the Qur’an, Hadith of the prophet and scholarly references concerning environmental management and Islamic education. The study’s findings indicate that the Qur’an clearly emphasizes the significance of preserving and maintaining nature as a divine command from Allah SWT, as expressed in its verses. In the meantime, tha hadiths of the prophet highlight the importance of hygiene, community responsibility and the banning of environmental pollution. The aplication of these principles within madrasah involves creating eco-friendly policies, promoting a clean lifestyle, and instilling ecological character education grounded in Islamic values. Therefore, the environmental management of madrasahs is not just practical but also theological and ethical, serving as a means to embody islamic values in daily life.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers' perspectives on implementing inclusive education at Public Elementary Schools (SDN) in Sungai Rengas Village. The phenomenon of inclusivity in education requires the active role of teachers, including PAI teachers, in shaping the character of all students, including those with special needs. The problem arises when understanding and support for implementing inclusive education in practice remain limited. This study offers a solution that strengthens PAI teachers' competencies through continuous training and collaboration among relevant stakeholders. The study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques include observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving PAI teachers and related parties at the school. PAI teachers have a reasonably good understanding of the concept of inclusive education. Their main challenges include a lack of training, limited facilities and infrastructure, and minimal support from assistants. Nevertheless, the teachers are firmly committed to providing fair and inclusive learning services. PAI teachers at SDN Sungai Rengas show good awareness and commitment to inclusive education despite facing various obstacles to its implementation. This research also provides empirical insights into the roles and challenges of PAI teachers in the context of inclusive education. The findings can be a foundation for developing teacher training policies and strengthening stakeholder collaboration to support effective inclusive education.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to understand the influence of political economy competition on government health budget allocation in Indonesia and the relationship between the influence of political economy competition on the health budget with the Islamic Economic Perspective. The Indonesian Democracy Index (IDI), Population Growth (PP), and poverty rate are the variables used. Panel data regression analysis with Random Effect (REM) model is the research method. The findings show that intensified political competition negatively affects health budget allocation, with a coefficient value of -0.033 on the IDI variable and -0.014 on the PP variable. Meanwhile, poverty level has a positive influence on health budget with a coefficient of 0.195. The Chow test shows a probability value of 4.656e-127, which indicates that the model fit is Random Effect. The Hausman test results show a probability value of 0.188, which supports the selection of the Random Effect model. In addition, the Breusch-Pagan value of 805,833 is shown in the Lagrange Multiplier (LM) test, with a probability of 0.000, which also indicates that the appropriate model is Random Effect. The implications of this study show the importance of more equitable policies in health budget allocation, by giving more attention to poor regions and reducing the impact of imperfect political competition.

Abstract

This study provides an in-depth examination of the concept of social ethics as articulated in the Qur’an and the sociological thought of Ibn Khaldūn, while critically engaging with Karl Marx’s critique of religion from these perspectives. Confronted with contemporary social challenges such as structural inequality and moral disintegration, it is imperative to revisit ethical values rooted in the Islamic tradition. The Qur’an underscores principles of justice, solidarity, social responsibility, and equality as foundational to a just and prosperous social order. Concurrently, Ibn Khaldūn’s theory of ʿasabiyyah highlights the centrality of social cohesion in sustaining collective strength. In contrast to Marx’s portrayal of religion as an opiate that diverts attention from socio-economic realities, Islam positions faith as a moral force driving social transformation. Employing a qualitative methodology and textual analysis of the primary sources of these three intellectual traditions, this study concludes that integrating Islamic social ethics with Ibn Khaldūn’s framework offers a viable conceptual alternative to secular critiques of religion and contributes to the construction of an ethically grounded social paradigm for contemporary society

Abstract

Islamic education has the main objective of forming faithful, knowledgeable, and noble human beings. However, in the context of a multicultural society, Islamic education faces challenges in instilling the values of diversity without eliminating the essence of Islamic teachings. This article aims to analyze philosophically and pedagogically how Islamic education can be revitalized to remain relevant in a heterogeneous society. Using a qualitative method based on literature studies, this study examines the concept of human ontology in Islam, multicultural values in the Qur'an and hadith, and strategies for implementing inclusive Islamic education. The results of the study show that Islam conceptually teaches the principles of tolerance, social justice, and harmonious life in diversity. However, in practice, Islamic education still tends to be homogeneous and does not accommodate the dynamics of multiculturalism. Therefore, the revitalization of Islamic education can be done through the integration of the Islamic educational philosophy approach with multicultural pedagogy, updating the curriculum to be more inclusive, and strengthening the role of educators in instilling an attitude of tolerance and openness. With this strategy, Islamic education can become an instrument that not only forms religious and moral individuals, but also builds a harmonious, just, and democratic society in diversity.

Abstract

Aqidah Akhlak education, which is an integral part of Islamic Religious Education, plays a crucial role in shaping students' character and morals. However, its implementation in the field often fails to instill these values in a sustainable and relevant manner in everyday life. Academic concerns arise due to the tendency of learning models that focus more on cognitive understanding, while the affective (attitudes) and psychomotor (skills) aspects that are the essence of Aqidah Akhlak learning are less considered. This study aims to examine the application of B.F. Skinner's behavioristic learning theory in learning Aqidah Akhlak at MI Miftahul Huda Pace Nganjuk, as well as its influence on the learning process and changes in student behavior. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the use of positive reinforcement such as praise, achievement stars, and negative reinforcement in the form of task reduction can form good habits, increase learning motivation, and strengthen students' Islamic character. However, challenges were found in the form of students' dependence on rewards and the lack of in-depth reflection on values. Nevertheless, challenges were found in the form of students' dependence on rewards and lack of in-depth reflection on values. The implications of this study show the importance of Aqidah Akhlak learning design that does not only rely on stimulus and response, but also encourages value awareness internally and sustainably.
