Abstract

Financial auditing in Islamic educational institutions is a vital instrument that functions not only as an internal control mechanism but also as a guarantee of accountability, transparency, and efficiency in managing funds entrusted by the Muslim community. These funds such as zakat, infaq, sadaqah, and waqf, carry profound spiritual and social significance, thus requiring financial management that adheres to both sharia principles and professional standards. This article aims to examine the urgency of financial auditing in Islamic education, identify the core principles that must guide auditing practices, such as trustworthiness (amanah), justice (ʿadl), excellence (ihsan), and transparency and analyze the implementation and challenges of auditing practices in contemporary Islamic educational management. Using a literature review approach, this study explores references from nationally and internationally accredited academic journals, as well as classical and contemporary Islamic literature. The findings indicate that financial auditing is not merely a technical necessity but also a moral responsibility embedded in the financial management of Islamic education. Therefore, strengthening audit systems grounded in sharia principles is an integral part of realizing credible, transparent, and sustainable governance in Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

The beginning of the Tijaniyah order appeared in the archipelago at the beginning of the 20th century between 1920 and 1928. This research aims to explore the traces of the emergence of this order in the archipelago. Despite the challenges, the order continued to grow in several areas, especially in Cirebon and Garut (West Java), Madura, and the eastern tip of Java Island. The purpose of this article is to find out when tarekat tijinyah began to exist in the archipelago and how it developed and adapted. This research also strengthens the analysis by comparing and examining other relevant sources. The data analysis method used is descriptive analysis, which describes in detail and in depth to obtain an accurate understanding. The result of this research shows that the internal development is done through intensive coaching in each region for Tarekat Tijaniyah students, giving muqaddam duty schedule to foster and provide recitation material in hailalah places in turn, and structuring the administration of Tarekat Tijaniyah. Meanwhile, the development of external relations was carried out by establishing cooperation with the government and socio-political organisations. The development of Tarekat Tijaniyah is strongly influenced by the important role of muqaddam (teachers) in spreading its teachings. In addition, the relatively easy teachings and requirements for Tijaniyah followers also facilitated its spread in the archipelago.

Abstract

The change in the minimum age of marriage in Law Number 1 Year 1974, which was revised through Law Number 16 Year 2019, has become an important issue in legal and social discourse in Indonesia. This revision equalises the minimum age of marriage between men and women to 19 years. The data analysis method used is descriptive analysis, which describes in detail and in depth to obtain an accurate understanding. In the midst of these changes, the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) performs a strategic role as a religious institution that influences the direction of legal policy through fatwas and political lobbying. This study analyses how MUI's fatwa operates in the political context of Islamic law, including its influence on state regulation and its relationship with power and the prevailing patriarchal ideology. Although MUI initially rejected the revision, the institution's position changed following pressure from civil society and a Constitutional Court ruling. This analysis shows that MUI's fatwa serves not only as religious guidance, but also as a tool of social and political legitimacy in the national legislative process, particularly in issues involving religious values and human rights.

Abstract

In the digital era, technology-based financial recording applications have emerged as potential solutions; however, their use requires careful examination from an Islamic economic perspective to ensure compliance with Sharia principles. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the ijarah contract in the use of digital financial recording applications by MSMEs in Way Kanan Regency and to assess its role in enhancing financial transparency. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method, with data obtained through in-depth interviews with MSME owners and application providers, direct observation of application usage, and documentation of financial practices. The analysis combined the theoretical framework of the ijarah contract in Islamic jurisprudence with the concept of transparency in financial management. The findings indicate that digital applications are commonly used through subscription or service rental schemes, which reflect the nature of the ijarah contract, as the agreements are based on clear benefits without involving gharar or riba. Moreover, the applications improve the consistency of financial recording, simplify reporting, and reinforce transparency both internally and externally. These results suggest that ijarah-based digital applications can serve as strategic instruments in strengthening Sharia-compliant financial governance for MSMEs.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the blended learning model in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at the elementary school level. The research was conducted at SDIT Al Izzah Sorong during the even semester of the 2020–2021 academic year, when face-to-face learning was still restricted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving the foundation board, school leaders, teachers, and parents. The findings show that blended learning was applied by combining offline and online instruction with a rotation system in which students were divided into two groups to comply with health protocols. PAI learning was carried out once a week for one lesson hour, covering the stages of planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with blended learning principles. Despite its potential to increase student engagement and maintain teacher–student interaction, several challenges emerged. Teachers encountered difficulties in adapting to the new model, developing creative instructional strategies, and supporting students who struggled with the material. Students experienced decreased learning motivation and boredom, while parents faced obstacles such as limited digital literacy, restricted financial resources for internet access or devices, and excessive involvement in completing their children’s assignments. These findings indicate that effective and sustainable blended learning requires enhanced teacher capacity, adequate technological support, and stronger collaboration between schools and parents.

Abstract

This study critically examines the contemporary phenomenon of childfree through the perspective of Islamic legal reasoning, particularly the method of qiyas (analogical deduction). In modern discourse, the decision to remain childfree is often regarded as an individual right and a matter of personal autonomy. However, within the framework of Islamic law, marriage is not solely a personal contract but also a social and religious institution that upholds the objectives of the maqashid shari’ah, one of which is the preservation of lineage (hifzh al-nasl). This research draws an analogy between the childfree lifestyle and classical Islamic practices such as ‘azl (coitus interruptus) and contraception, while analyzing their similarities and differences. Using a normative qualitative approach, the study evaluates the implications of childfree on the fulfillment of spousal rights and the realization of the essential purposes of marriage. The findings indicate that a permanent choice to remain childfree, if made unilaterally and without mutual consent, risks neglecting core marital objectives and disrupting the balance of rights and obligations between spouses. Therefore, adopting a childfree lifestyle within an Islamic framework requires mutual agreement, comprehensive understanding, and careful consideration of its legal, ethical, and social consequences.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of service excellence on customer loyalty with customer satisfaction as a mediating variable at Bank NTB Syariah. The research background is based on the significant growth of Bank NTB Syariah over the last five years, as reflected in the increase of assets, customer base, and financing, which serve as the pillars of the bank’s development. A quantitative correlational approach was employed to examine the relationship among variables without manipulation. The sample consisted of 100 respondents, determined through accidental sampling using Slovin’s formula. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire with a rating scale and analyzed with Partial Least Square (PLS). The results indicate that service excellence has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction, and customer satisfaction mediates the relationship between service excellence and customer loyalty. These findings reinforce the theory that customer loyalty does not emerge instantly but requires superior service strategies and sustainable satisfaction.
