Abstract

This research discusses Shia: The Fundamentals of Shia Imamiyah Teachings, Other Shia Sects such as Zaidiyah, Isma’iliyah, and Gulat, as well as their teachings. The objectives of this research are: To understand the concept of the Shia sect and the history of its emergence; to understand the fundamental teachings of the Itsna Ashariyah or Shia Imamiyah sect; and to understand and comprehend the other Shia sects and the concepts of their teachings. The author employs qualitative research, which serves as a method to obtain descriptive data in the form of written or oral expressions from individuals or through observation of behavior. The purpose of this research is to describe the views of Maturidiyya along with its teachings. Therefore, this paper is compiled through a literature review. To collect data, the author utilizes libraries, by analyzing various literatures relevant to the topic discussed, both in Indonesian and foreign languages. In addition, the sources of this research also include primary data. The research results indicate that the Shia group is a faction of supporters/followers of Ahl al-Bayt who later disguised themselves as supporters of Ali, believing that the caliphate is the right of Ahl al-Bayt (Ali and his descendants) due to their virtue and nobility. The Shia group initially emerged after the death of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the appointment of Abu Bakr as the successor caliph. However, according to historians, this group politically appeared during the Battle of Siffin between Ali and Mu’awiyah. The Imamiyah or Ja'fariyah or Ithna Ashariyah sect of Shia is the largest Shia sect and is considered the closest to the Sunni community, possessing the concept of Usul al-Din oriented towards five aspects, namely: (1) Tawhid, (2) Al-Adl, (3) Nubuwwah, (4) Ma’ad, and (5) Imamah. There are differences of opinion among several scholars regarding the number of Shia sects. However, in this paper, the author mentions the sects that are quite influential and have distinct characteristics in their views on the concept of imamah. These sects are (1) Zaidiyah, (2) Isma’iliyah, and (3) Ghullat (extremist), aside from the Itsna Ashariyah group mentioned earlier.

Abstract

The study of Shi‘ism is essential, as its existence encompasses not only historical and political dimensions but also influences the dynamics of inter-sectarian relations within the Islamic world. A comprehensive understanding of the history and development of Shi‘ism is expected to enrich Islamic discourse and foster tolerance among Muslims. This research employs a library research method, utilizing various written sources to collect relevant data and information. The collected data were analyzed qualitatively. The findings reveal that the peak of Shi‘a development occurred during the medieval period when the Safavid dynasty established Shi‘ism as the official school of thought in Iran. Its influence further expanded following the 1979 Islamic Revolution, which inspired a broader revival of Islamic consciousness worldwide. To this day, Shi‘ism remains an integral part of the Muslim community, with followers distributed across various regions. Although differences between Sunni and Shi‘a groups continue to cause tension in some areas, ongoing efforts in dialogue and the spirit of ukhuwah Islamiyah (Islamic brotherhood) are continuously promoted to foster unity among Muslims on the basis of faith and humanity.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the nature, principles, and procedures of cooperative and collaborative learning strategies, as well as their relevance to the development of 21st-century skills in Islamic Religious Education (PAI). The method used is library research with a descriptive-analytical approach through a review of books, journals, and related research findings. The results indicate that cooperative learning emphasizes teamwork in small groups with positive interdependence, while collaborative learning focuses on the co-construction of knowledge through interaction and reflection. Both strategies are grounded in social constructivism, humanistic theory, and connectivism, which align with Islamic values such as ta‘?wun (mutual assistance), sy?r? (consultation), and ukhuwah (brotherhood). The implementation of these strategies has proven effective in enhancing students’ critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity (4C), while simultaneously strengthening Islamic character formation. Therefore, cooperative and collaborative learning strategies represent relevant and transformative approaches to addressing the challenges of PAI learning in the era of the Merdeka Curriculum and the 21st century.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the status of the Indonesian Language subject as a General Compulsory University Course (MKWU) in Islamic higher education institutions, which therefore plays a strategic role in developing students’ literacy skills while strengthening Islamic character. The study aims to examine character education–based learning strategies for the Indonesian Language subject in Islamic Higher Education Institutions (PTAI). Using a library research method, this study identifies learning strategies that integrate Islamic and national character values into Indonesian language instruction. The results show that Indonesian language learning in PTAI is not only a means of enhancing academic language competence but also serves as a medium for the internalization of moral, religious, and national values. Effective learning strategies include the following steps: (1) developing comprehensive lesson planning, (2) designing character-based learning strategies in each learning stage, (3) preparing instructional materials, (4) selecting appropriate media, and (5) designing assessments, all of which apply character education principles inspired by relevant Islamic values. In conclusion, the implementation of character-based learning strategies in the Indonesian Language course at PTAI has the potential to produce graduates who are intelligent, virtuous, and possess strong Islamic character.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to: (1) examine the implementation of the Cybergogy-based learning model in the Mechanical Engineering Education Department, particularly in the Fabrication course; and (2) analyze students’ perceptions of its application in the learning process. This research employs a descriptive quantitative approach. Rather than testing hypotheses on relationships among variables, it aims to describe the extent to which the Cybergogy model has been implemented and how students perceive its effectiveness in learning activities. The findings reveal that: (1) the implementation of the Cybergogy model was carried out through three main stages based on the 3E Framework (Engagement, Empowerment, and Enhancement) across nine instructional steps. Each stage was evaluated in terms of student engagement, collaborative activities, and learning outcomes using observation sheets, questionnaires, and learning achievement tests. (2) Students’ perceptions of the Cybergogy-based learning model were assessed through three dimensions: (a) digital learning engagement, (b) learning autonomy (empowerment), and (c) learning improvement and satisfaction (enhancement), with an average score of 4.28. Based on the results, it can be concluded that: (1) the overall average score of 4.24 indicates that the implementation of the Cybergogy learning model falls into the good to very good category; and (2) students’ perceptions of the Cybergogy-based learning model are highly positive. Most students reported that learning became more flexible, collaborative, and motivating, encouraging them to engage in more independent learning.

Abstract

The study is driven by the urgent need for KWT Kenanga Persada (Women Farmers Group) to transition from a conventional collective into a planned, profitable business unit. The primary objective is to optimize the vegetable nugget business strategy using the Business Model Canvas (BMC) framework and establish a viable selling price based on Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) calculations. The product innovation, incorporating nutrient-rich, flavor-neutral pakcoy is designed to counteract the low vegetable consumption rate, particularly among children. BMC analysis confirms a robust foundation for growth, supported by the unique value proposition of homemade, practical, and ready-to-serve pakcoy vegetable nuggets. Key customer segments are identified as parents with small children and health-conscious consumers. Financial feasibility was determined using the full costing COGS method. The total production cost for 15 packs was calculated at Rp 134,764, resulting in a unit COGS of Rp 8,985. Targeting a 30% profit margin, the recommended selling price is between Rp 11,500 and Rp 12,000 per pack. This strategic optimization, integrating BMC and COGS analysis, is projected to significantly enhance production capacity, expand market reach, and ensure the economic self-sufficiency of KWT Kenanga Persada.

Abstract

The transformation of a start-up business for lemongrass soap products requires in-depth research for competitiveness and sustainability. This study aims to analyze the development of a start-up business producing lemongrass-based solid bath soap and its sustainability strategy in women's farmer group X. The approach used includes SWOT analysis, calculation of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), and Business Model Canvas (BMC) to assess internal strengths, external opportunities, production cost efficiency, and the design of a sustainable business model. The results of the study show that the quantitative strategy analysis (IE/SWOT Matrix) places KWT X at coordinates (1.65; 1.15), which falls in Quadrant I (Aggressive). This position indicates that the company or business (KWT) has strong internal strengths (X Score: 1.65 > 0) and is in the midst of large external opportunities (Y Score: 1.15 > 0). So, KWT X's business is in a very favorable condition. The COGS calculation results show a production cost per unit of Rp9,000, with an ideal selling price of Rp12,500–Rp13,000 per unit to be competitive in the market. In addition, the implementation of the nine BMC elements confirms that KWT X has a strong business foundation through strategic partnerships, product diversification, and digital marketing. Product innovation, cost efficiency, and strengthening human resource capacity are key factors for the sustainability of the lemongrass-based herbal soap business.

Abstract

This research was prompted by the issues of musculoskeletal health problems and a decline in production quality among embroidery artisans at UMKM A, both of which were caused by un-ergonomic workstations. The study aimed to design a functional and ergonomic workbench by first identifying the artisans' needs and then translating them into technical product specifications. The research used the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method, which combines qualitative and quantitative approaches. The findings revealed a negative gap between the artisans' perceptions and their expectations, with scores ranging from -3.067 to -2.467 across 30 indicators. This negative gap highlights a clear need for improvement. Based on the QFD analysis, which was processed into the House of Quality (HOQ) matrix, seven key areas for improvement were identified. These included: a height-adjustable workbench design with a total score of 45 (41.85%), empty space under the table for leg movement with a score of 18 (16.74%), a design that aligns with the artisans' preferences with a score of 18 (16.74%), flexible adjustments for the table's position with a score of 6 (5.58%), and dedicated slots or racks for storing embroidery tools with a score of 6 (5.58%). In conclusion, the QFD method proved effective in designing a workbench that meets the artisans' needs, with the ultimate goal of increasing productivity and reducing the risk of injury.
