Comit: Communication and Information Journal is a peer-reviewed national journal on communication, dakwah, broadcasting, education and Islamic studies managed by Fakultas Dakwah dan Komunikasi Islam Institut Agama Islam Nasional (IAI-N) Laa Roiba Bogor in cooperation with Masyarakat Ekonomi Syariah (MES) and Intelectual Association for Islamic Studies (IAFORIS) . This journal focused on communication, dakwah, broadcasting, education, and Islamic studies through the publication of articles, research reports, and book reviews. The Journal is published two times a year on April, October. The aim of the journal is to disseminate the communication, information, dakwah, broadcasting, and Islamic studies researches done by researchers. Abstract

ABSTRACT Anak-anak MTs Al-Jihad Medan kelas VIII-1 tidak mau belajar membaca dan menulis, sehingga mereka kesulitan untuk membaca Alquran. Alat bantu audio-visual digunakan dalam penelitian ini untuk mengevaluasi apakah siswa termotivasi untuk belajar Alquran. Researchers use a mix of qualitative and quantitative techniques in their examinations of action research in the classroom. The Kemmis & Mc. model was employed in this study. Taggart, which consists of two cycles. Surveys, observations, interviews, and written data are used in this research. The results of this study show that the intervention put into place with the eighth grade and first year Muslim students at Al-Jihad Medan increased their motivation to learn the Koran using audiovisual media. Pre-cycle findings improved significantly in the second cycle, proving this to be the case. According to the data, 28 out of 43 students (or 65%) did not finish the course in the pre-cycle period, 18 out of 43 students (or 42%) did not finish the course in the first cycle, and 6 out of 43 students (or 14%) did not finish the course in the second cycle. When comparing the results from before the cycle to those after it, we find that, on average, students in MTs Al-Jihad Medan's eighth grade are 51% more motivated to read and write the Koran after being exposed to audiovisual materials. Abstract

The purpose of this journal is to examine contextual teaching and learning strategies in forming students' interest in learning. The method used in this research is library research (Library Research). The research results that can be obtained from researchers, that from the educational level, contextual teaching and learning strategies are able to restore and shape children's learning interests, this strategy can help students to be smarter, active, and able to think critically, giving rise to new enthusiasm that shapes interest. learning for every child/student at every level of education. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out students' perceptions regarding digital technology in the learning process and to find out whether digital technology really helps students in the learning process. The method used in this research is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The selection of research subjects was carried out through a random sampling technique. The data collection technique was carried out by closed interviews through the Google form and the data analysis technique used in this study was questionnaire data analysis. The majority of students (75%) agree that digital technology makes a major contribution to the learning process on campus. This is consistent with the fact that technology makes it easier for educators and students in distance learning. Various digital platforms facilitate assessment, information exchange, and interaction between teachers and students. Digital technologies provide significant benefits in the learning process, including increasing interaction between teachers and students, providing access to additional resources, and facilitating collaborative learning through online platforms. This study uses a quantitative descriptive research method. The sampling technique is Random Sampling. The sample in this study were 19 Tadris Biology students at UIN-SU. Data collection techniques are through tests and non-tests. The tests are in the form of description questions to measure symbolic abilities, as well as students' understanding of "The Influence of Organized Activeness on Academic Achievement of Biology Students at the State Islamic University of North Sumatra". Non-test techniques in the form of questionnaires and closed interviews, namely using the Google Form. The benefits obtained from being active in the organization apart from the influence on academic achievement are adding many useful relationships and increasing a sense of responsibility and good teamwork and adding new experiences that are not obtained in college lessons, and also affecting ourselves for example skill development public speaking, can develop self-potential, train sensitivity to the surrounding environment and increase a sense of concern for others as well as fostering productive, innovative, creative and critical abilities. Abstract

Digital literacy refers to an individual's ability to use digital technology with good understanding, including skills in finding, evaluating, using and sharing information effectively. This research was conducted to find out the history of the digital literacy level of first year students of Biology. To find out how the first year Tadris Biology students are able to access, understand, and evaluate scientific information that is relevant to the study of biology using digital technology. This study used a qualitative method using in-depth interviews via online, namely Google Meet. The importance of knowing or understanding digital literacy aims at good digital literacy skills that will assist students in accessing, understanding, and evaluating scientific information that is relevant to the study of biology. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out how far UINSU biology tadris students know scientific journal articles, and see how far UINSU biology tadris students understand scientific journal article writing. The research method used in this study was descriptive qualitative. The population in this study were UINSU biology students. And the samples in this study were UINSU biology students class 2019-2022, namely 40 students who were still actively studying. The data collection technique used is the survey method. The sampling technique used in this study was random sampling. The data analysis technique was then processed using a descriptive analysis method to find out the results of a questionnaire conducted on Tadris Biology UINSU students class of 2019-2022. The results of this study are based on informants namely students that many students have made scientific journal articles and that means that many students understand scientific journal articles, both in terms of searching for scientific journal articles, understanding scientific journal articles and even making articles. scientific journals. But behind that there are also students, especially in the class of 2022, who still produce few scientific journal articles, and sometimes it's even difficult to find and understand them. Abstract

The purpose of writing this journal is to analyze the teacher's efforts in developing the 2013 curriculum at the MAS Al-Washliyah Tembung school. The method used in this research is qualitative, descriptive with library research and field interviews. Research results that can be obtained from this study, that in developing the 2013 Curriculum, it has several components, principles, principles, and forms. So it should be noted, in developing the curriculum must pay attention to the aspects and conditions of student learning at school, starting from the affective, cognitive, and psychomotor aspects of the students themselves. This can be evaluated through several assessments which are the main goal in developing the curriculum, thus, curriculum development can take place effectively, and efficiency is as expected. Abstract

In current technological developments the use of technology as a source of information for students is very helpful, especially Google Scholar in helping find scientific work in the form of abstract articles and so on. This study aims to examine the use of technology as a source of information and the use of Google Scholar in helping to complete assignments. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method. With data collection techniques through interviews for information data collection carried out by researchers by asking questions to informants. The results of the analysis show that the use of technology as a source of information, especially the use of Google Scholar in completing tasks is very helpful in making scientific work, because it provides academic literature or various scientific works and various scientific disciplines in the form of abstract books, articles and so on. Abstract

A good library that is able to provide the right information for users,it’s all based on good management as well. The function of managements is so that goals can run in an orderly manner as expected. In this study using field research with a qualitative approach. Techniques used for data collection using observation, interviews and documentation. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique went throught the stages of data reduction, data presentation and verification. In this study, researchers want to examine the MAN Asahan library in management functions, namely planning, organization, actuacting, controlling and evaluation. The result of this study are that the MAN Asahan library has three planning programs, namely long-term, medium-term and short-term programs. Which the task is carried out or carried out in accordance with the duties of the libraries who work in accordance with their respective fields. The shortage of the MAN Asahan library is still the lack of the number of collection and the facilities of the MAN Asahan library are still many that are not suitable for users. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out how the application of the librarian's code of ethics at the Medan City Library and Archives Service. This research method uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. In this study, there were 6 informants who worked in the library as librarians by using purposive sampling. The object of this research is the Medan City Library and Archives Service. The collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation studies. The analysis technique used in this research is data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results of this study are that at the City Library and Archives Service the librarians have implemented the Librarian Code of Ethics from the basic attitudes of librarians and some librarian rules, Inhibiting and Supporting Factors from this research there are obstacles where there are some librarians who do not have a librarian background so that this becomes an inhibiting factor in implementing the Librarian Code of Ethics in which there are some librarians who do not participate in the Indonesian Librarians Association, while the supporting factors for the Implementation of the Librarian Code of Ethics with the management of librarians are able to apply because they understand well the existing rules.
