Comit: Communication and Information Journal is a peer-reviewed national journal on communication, dakwah, broadcasting, education and Islamic studies managed by Fakultas Dakwah dan Komunikasi Islam Institut Agama Islam Nasional (IAI-N) Laa Roiba Bogor in cooperation with Masyarakat Ekonomi Syariah (MES) and Intelectual Association for Islamic Studies (IAFORIS) . This journal focused on communication, dakwah, broadcasting, education, and Islamic studies through the publication of articles, research reports, and book reviews. The Journal is published two times a year on April, October. The aim of the journal is to disseminate the communication, information, dakwah, broadcasting, and Islamic studies researches done by researchers. Abstract

This study explores the concept of Lenggono and its implications in parenting to foster children's morality from the perspective of the Surakarta Palaces. Using a qualitative case study approach, this research involved officials from the Surakarta Palace who have deep appreciation for Javanese cultural values. Data collection was conducted through a series of three interviews over one month, ensuring participant confidentiality and informed consent. Thematic analysis was employed to identify patterns and themes from the data. The findings highlight the importance of instilling moral education from an early age, emphasizing values such as appreciation for the existence of God, logical straightness of thinking, wisdom, intellectual and emotional intelligence, sympathetic feelings, and non-violence. The Lenggono concept integrates these values, providing a holistic approach to moral education in children, rooted in Javanese traditions. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of cultural practices in moral upbringing and offers practical insights for parents and educators.

Abstract

This research was conducted to analyze the recognition and measurement of immovable waqf (WTB) in improving transparency for the benefit of the people at the Indonesian Waqf Board Siak Regency. The study employed qualitative methods, with data collected through interviews and questionnaires, using the Analytical Network Process (ANP) for data analysis. The findings indicated that several Masalahs persisted in waqf management, such as non-compliance with financial reporting guidelines, inadequate human resources, and uncertified waqf land. The study suggested improvements in these areas to enhance the transparency and efficiency of waqf management. The implications included recommendations for policy adjustments and increased stakeholder engagement in waqf practices

Abstract

The Qur'an, as a source of Arabic language principles, provides numerous examples of grammatical cohesion as the linguistic elements' operation to connect sentences and paragraphs, thereby creating a grammatically structured text, including in Surah Al-Mujadalah. This study aims to: 1) Identify grammatical cohesion in Surah Al-Mujadalah, 2) Describe the forms of grammatical cohesion in Surah Al-Mujadalah, 3) Determine the causes of grammatical cohesion, and 4) Explain its implementation in Arabic language teaching. This research employs a qualitative approach. Data collection was conducted through library research.The results reveal that grammatical cohesion in the Arabic language of the Qur'an is evident in the use of interrelated linguistic elements structurally. In Surah Al-Mujadalah, several forms of grammatical cohesion are identified, including: reference, conjunction, substitution, and ellipsis. Grammatical cohesion in Surah Al-Mujadalah is highly beneficial for Arabic language learning, particularly in understanding sentence structures and techniques for establishing meaning connections within sentences. In its implementation, the researcher used the Qawaid Method, which is beneficial for improving reading and writing skills. The results showed that in teaching using the Qawaid Method, examples of verses from Surah Mujadalah containing grammatical cohesion such as Reference, Substitution, Conjunction, and Ellipsis could be used. This implementation was carried out entirely in the preparation of the teacher's lesson plans (RPP) for Arabic Language Lesson under the Merdeka Curriculum in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study discusses the press release in the launch of the new product Nescafe Ice Roast at the big music event Pestapora 2024. With a qualitative descriptive approach and case study, this study analyzes the Nescafe Ice Roast press release based on the theory and practice of Press Release. The launch of this product took advantage of the momentum of the music festival to increase brand visibility and awareness, targeting the younger generation who like cold coffee. Through strategic collaboration with music festivals, interactive activities, and the use of mass media, Nescafe succeeded in creating direct engagement with the audience and strengthening the brand image as a pioneer in instant coffee innovation. This study shows that this press release meets the elements of an effective press release, such as the inverted pyramid, 5W + 1H, and the SOLAADS approach, and successfully supports brand positioning in the market.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect between customer orientation and brand loyalty through mediation of brand risk and brand commitment. Quantitative method using milk objects and a sample of 109 people in Bogor. The population covered includes Bumi Susu consumers in Bogor city/regency. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling by taking purposive samples. Data processing was carried out using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method to determine the direct effect of the relationship between customer orientation and brand loyalty and the indirect effect by looking at the relationship between customer orientation and brand loyalty through the mediation of brand risk and brand commitment. The results of this study show an insignificant relationship between customer orientation and brand loyalty but mediation of brand risk and brand commitment is done to connect customer orientation with brand loyalty. The indirect relationship with this mediation has a positive and significant effect. This research has managerial implications for businesses considering brand risk and brand commitment that can affect brand loyalty so that companies can survive in business competition. Brand loyalty is one of the factors that influence repeat purchases which will affect sales.

Abstract

Explaining the distinctiveness and examining the manufacturing method of Bahalap batik, the exceptional product of Palangka Raya MSMEs, is the aim of this study. This study employs a qualitative approach to literature review. A variety of information gathering techniques are used in this study, including direct observation, interviews, archival materials, and pertinent scientific publications or journals. The sample for this study was chosen using purposive sampling, which is based on the following criteria: the company must be in the SME (Small – Medium Enterprise) category, be a shop owner and producer of Bahalap Batik, have a production process that combines conventional and semi-modern methods, have been producing and marketing batik handicrafts for at least five years, operate continuously, and be making efforts to expand. Although the Bahalap batik production process has generally followed business protocols, it still requires improvement in terms of efficacy and efficiency, which can be accomplished by updating its more current production equipment and hiring more skilled human resources..

Abstract

The news release issued by BMKG regarding the 2024 megathrust earthquake has been widely spread in mainstream media and social media. The news only shows the phenomenon of the megathrust earthquake, the narrative has become a polemic in the community. The results of the research found in the BNPB Indonesia Youtube account video with the topic of Preparedness Tips Facing Megathrust Potential using Teun Van Dijk's discourse analysis in the text dimension found microstructure elements that reveal the main problems, namely the megathrust issue and the megathrust information gap in society. Meanwhile, social cognition analysis produces the most dominant scheme, namely the event scheme. In social cognition, there are two discourses that are emphasized, namely that there are still many people on the coast who do not know the threat of megathrust earthquakes and the events of earthquakes and tsunamis that have occurred that have claimed hundreds of lives. The implication of the social context dimension found that the communicator directed the discourse from the megathrust issue to the tsunami phenomenon and identified the characteristics of the tsunami caused by the earthquake contained in the language and discourse in the video.

Abstract

Excessive consumption of sugary drinks can have detrimental effects on health, such as diabetes, obesity, tooth decay, and others. Therefore, it is important to conduct socialization and education regarding the dangers of excessive consumption of sugary drinks, by limiting the consumption of sugary drinks and sugar intake. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method, which is a research process that produces descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from people and observable behaviors, conducted at State Elementary School No. 101946 Bengabing, Pegajahan District. The socialization was carried out in several stages, covering the following aspects: Initial study, Planning, Site observation, Problem identification, Problem-solving, Developing materials, Implementation/presentation, Final activity report, Presentation of the final activity report, Evaluation of results. The research subjects in this socialization numbered 20 people. The results obtained from the socialization are: Increased ability of grade 4 students in choosing healthy drinks to consume. Increased awareness among grade 4 students about sugary drinks, the sugar content in them, and the types of sugary drinks consumed by grade 4 students in excess.

Abstract

Bullying in the elementary school environment is a serious problem that requires comprehensive handling. This community service activity aims to provide education and understanding about bullying prevention through socialisation at SDN 101798 Deli Tua. Based on initial observations, all grade 5 students (100%) reported having experienced verbal bullying from peers. The socialisation activity was carried out using descriptive qualitative methods in the form of lectures, discussions and questions and answers conducted in December 2024 involving 30 grade 5 students. The material presented included the definition of bullying, forms of bullying, the impact and how to overcome it. The results of the activity showed three main achievements: students did not repeat bullying behaviour and understood the dangers, increased self-confidence of students who had been victims of bullying, and increased student insight into bullying which contributed to the creation of a safer school environment. This activity proves that structured and interactive socialisation can increase students' awareness about the dangers of bullying. Regular evaluation and active collaboration between schools and parents are needed to ensure the sustainability of the results of this socialisation programme.

Abstract

The golden age of the Syafavid and Mughal empires was the main highlight of Islamic civilization, where the political success of the kingdoms also influenced the progress of Islamic education. Islamic education has an important role in maintaining and developing the Islamic identity of a civilization. During the Safavid kingdom, Islamic civilization reached its peak in the fields of art, literature and architecture. The influence of power politics plays a key role in supporting the development of Islamic education by building advanced educational institutions centered on Islamic teachings. Islamic education at that time provided a strong foundation for the intellectuality of Muslims. Meanwhile, the period of Mughal rule also showed the glory of Islamic civilization. Islamic education under Mughal rule experienced significant development, where classical books were translated into local languages to increase access to education for the wider community. Mughal political power gave great impetus to the spread of Islamic science and religion.
