Abstract

Knowledge of mathematics, didactics, and technology that must be owned by pre-service and in-service teachers, previously measured by the classical test theory (CTT), but has limitations. Study aims to determine that knowledge with a more accurate prediction method using the item response theory (IRT) from the Rasch model. Study used a survey of mathematical and didactic knowledge, and a survey of technological knowledge with a scale. The subjects were 38 second- year students from an elementary school teacher education institution in Pekanbaru. This study indicates that pre-service teachers have relatively sufficient mathematics and technological knowledge, but they were lack of didactic knowledge. Analysis of pre-service teachers’ knowledge using the Rasch model can provide an overview of the difficulty level of the items given, the level of pre-service teachers’ knowledge, and the interaction between respondents and between questions. Institutions need to develop learning instruction for pre-service teachers that can support the strengthening and development of their mathematical, didactic, and technological knowledge.

Abstract

This research explores the dynamics of teaching and learning in the Digital Era, making a significant contribution to discussions regarding the position of education in facing changing times and the digital era. Through literature research, it was found that learning in the digital era has unique characteristics, especially because today's students are the digital native generation. They were born, grew, and developed in a digital environment, creating differences in the way they obtain information compared to previous generations. Therefore, teachers, as partners in the learning process, need to have the ability to design learning activities that enable students to obtain information effectively in the context of limited time. Learning motivation reflects students' internal drive to achieve learning goals. Motivation has a crucial role in student enthusiasm, and support from teachers is an important supporting factor. Teachers have a role in improving the quality of education by providing motivation to students. The success of the learning process depends on the level of student motivation. To achieve optimal learning outcomes, teachers need to use creativity in motivating students by presenting innovative and creative learning activities.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to identify the special roles played by teachers in the context of classroom learning at foundation colleges or private elementary schools. The method used in this research is a descriptive research method using qualitative.Data was obtained from interviews, observation and documentation.The teacher's role in classroom learning aims to identify the most effective teaching methods,strategies and approaches in helping students achieve learning goals. The importance of technology integration in classroom learning. Teachers who are able to use technology well can increase the attractiveness of learning, increase access to information, and provide a more interactive learning experience.The use of technology in learning is considered an important aspect of the role of the modern teacher.Effectiveintegration of technology can increase student engagement, facilitate access to information, and stimulate creativity in learning. The importance of technology integration in classroom learning. Teachers who are able to use technology well can increase the attractiveness of learning,increase access to information, and provide a more interactive learning experience. The use of technology in learning is considered an important aspect of the role of the modern teacher. Effective integration of technology can increase student engagement, facilitate access to information, and stimulate creativity in learning.

Abstract

Education policy is a policy related to the field of education in the process of elaborating the vision and mission of education in order to achieve educational goals through strategic steps in implementing education. This research aims to describe educational policies related to the policy of using different curricula at Al-Hidayah High School in classes X, XI and class XII. However, the researchers here are more focused on discussing the independent learning curriculum. The curriculum used for class X and class XI currently uses the independent learning curriculum, for class XII uses the k13 or kurtilas curriculum. This research uses a qualitative method, descriptive research type. Data was obtained through observation, interviews and documentation techniques by focusing on data regarding the use of the independent curriculum and Al-Hidayah High School as a driving school. The results of the research are that when a school is selected to be a driving school, that school will implement an independent learning curriculum. As a driving school, all policies in learning activities use P5 (Strengthening Pancasila Student Profiles), using student-based learning. So all the provisions relating to the independent curriculum, the implementation carried out at Al-Hidayah High School is in accordance with the school culture and the condition of the existing students' character.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that upholds the implementation of quality education to support the progress of the Indonesian State through its Human Resources. Education is not only obtained from school, but education can also be obtained in the environment where a person lives and socializes. However, education in Indonesia is also not free from various problems, one of which is the emergence of bullying that occurs in the school environment. There are many factors that result in bullying, and this behavior is deviant and not in accordance with applicable norms. The existence of bullying behavior causes the need for character cultivation through character education which must be instilled in children as early as possible. Character education is considered to have an important role and can be one solution to guide children so that they have the ability to differentiate between good and bad actions as well as actions that are pleasing and detrimental to other people. Character education must not only be carried out and implemented at school, but it must also be implemented and supervised directly by parents. By cultivating this character, it is hoped that the quality of education in Indonesia will increase.

Abstract

Citizenship education has a very important role in developing the attitudes and behavior of citizens who are tolerant, respect differences, and are able to communicate well with people from different backgrounds. Tolerance is a necessity to practice Pancasila values ​​as much as possible and ensure good relations between Indonesian people. Tolerance between religious communities means having the freedom to worship according to their respective religions and beliefs. There are no mutual prohibitions on practicing the worship they adhere to. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods by collecting data by conducting direct interviews. This research shows the importance of maintaining harmony, providing ethics in the opinions of other groups, upholding humanitarian principles and so on, which are expected to be able to bring glory to the country.

Abstract

This research examines the role of Islamic education in maintaining social integration through the lens of Emile Durkheim's sociology of education. Emile Durkheim, a major figure in sociology, has developed a theory about the importance of educational institutions in maintaining social solidarity and preventing disintegration in society. The research method used is literature study, by collecting and analyzing various relevant library sources. The results of this research underline that Islamic education has great potential in maintaining social integration in Muslim societies. Islamic educational institutions can act as the main agents in forming moral values, strengthening social solidarity, and building a strong social identity. This research provides an in-depth understanding of how the principles of Emile Durkheim's sociology of education can be applied to the context of Islamic education, and the results can provide guidance for the development of educational policies that support sustainable social integration in Muslim societies.

Abstract

This research is aimed at digging the perception of students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Studies Program FKIP University of Riau towards Malay Arabic courses. The study used a qualitative descriptive approach to the population of students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Studies Program with a sample of 25 respondents. The results revealed significant variations in students' perceptions of Malay Arab courses at Riau University. Although most students indicate a good level of previous interaction with the material, there are differences in views on the relevance of the course. In general, students responded positively to teaching methods and considered these courses to have a positive impact on the development of communication skills and an understanding of local history and culture. Nevertheless, continuous evaluation is needed to understand and respond to the diverse needs of students. Student suggestions, such as the integration of courses in various majors and increased use of media, provide valuable insights for future course improvements. The conclusion emphasizes the importance of adaptability and responsiveness to student feedback inining the quality of learning of Malay Arab courses.

Abstract

The ability to read Malay Arabic in higher education needs to be taken into account because it is based on high level education, therefore this research aims to determine the ability to read Malay Arabic writing for students in class 2021B, Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, FKIP, University of Riau, academic year 2023. To determine the ability In reading Malay Arabic writing, the author uses several methods, namely by testing the skills of reading Malay Arabic writing. The research method uses descriptive analysis, the research sample was taken from 35 students in class 2021B, semester 5 of Indonesian Language and Literature Education, FKIP, Riau University in 2023. The data collection technique was carried out by conducting a reading skills test for 2021B students. The data analysis technique is carried out by processing the data that has been obtained using a reading trial test. The data analysis technique is by collecting test results, looking for percentages for each aspect of reading speed and comprehension. The results of the research concluded that the Malay Arabic reading skills of students in the 2021B Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program FKIP Riau University were 26 students in the high category, 7 students in the medium category and 2 students in the low category.

Abstract

The Proclamation was born when the Indonesian people really hoped to be free from the colonial nation. The Indonesian nation must respect and appreciate the proclamation. The proclamation was born from the sacrifices of Indonesian independence figures and heroes. Over time, the meaning of the proclamation began to become almost unknown in the eyes of the Indonesian people themselves. The nation's next generation must understand the meaning of the proclamation itself. After understanding the meaning of the proclamation, implementing an attitude that emulates the proclamation will be appropriate. This research was studied using the literature study method by searching for all sources on the topic of the urgency of understanding the meaning of the proclamation for elementary school students. The aim of this research is to review how important it is for the Indonesian people to understand the meaning of the proclamation starting from an early age. In this way, it is important for every Indonesian citizen to review the importance of understanding the meaning of the proclamation to create and continue sovereignty and maintain Indonesian independence.
