Abstract

Babies are assets that are beneficial for economic growth and sustainable development of a country because they are the life expectancy of families and nations. Based on the Decree of the Minister of Health Number 28 of 2017 concerning Licensing and Implementation of Midwife Practice, it is stated that midwives have the authority. Monitoring the growth and development of babies, toddlers and preschool children includes weighing activities, head circumference measurements, height measurements, early detection stimulation and early intervention for developmental deviations in toddlers using the Pre-Developmental Screening Questionnaire (KPSP). Counseling and counseling includes providing communication, information, Journal of Digital Community Service (JUPED) | e-ISSN: 2828-3503 Volume 1, Number 3, August 2022 16 education (KIE) to mothers and families about newborn care, exclusive breastfeeding, danger signs in newborns, health services, immunizations, balanced nutrition, PHBS, and grow. Baby massage is a form of stimulation for a child's body and development. Through baby massage, comfortable and safe communication will occur between mother and baby.

Abstract

 This type of research is Quantitative Associative which aims to determine the effect of motivation variables and interest in learning on improving student achievement / learning outcomes both partially and simultaneously. The population of this study were all class XI students of SMK Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan with a sample size of 30 people taken by purposive sampling, namely sampling techniques carried out on the basis of certain considerations of the researcher. The results of this study indicate that learning motivation partially and significantly affects student learning outcomes with a t value = 3.527> t table = 1.662, with a significance value of 0.02 <0.05. Meanwhile, the learning interest variable partially and significantly affects learning outcomes with a t value of 4.479 > t table = 1.662, with a significance value of 0.00 < 0.05. Simultaneously, motivation and interest in learning affect the learning outcomes of class XI students of SMK Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan with a value of Fhitung = 6.406> Ftabel = 3.35 The percentage of influence is 39%. These results also explain that the higher the motivation and interest in learning students, the greater the learning outcomes and vice versa. Students with high motivation and interest in learning tend to be more active in learning and vice versa. This research is very important especially in the field of education because it greatly affects the success of a school where high motivation and interest can improve students' abilities so that it has an impact on achieving good and quality learning outcomes, the title we discuss is very interesting to be discussed by further researchers in depth, especially in learning interests that have not been directed to the majors that are really wanted to increase the achievement of student learning outcomes that are superior and can compete with existing majors in vocational schools.

Abstract

Public awareness of the importance of fitness is increasing. In Indonesia, especially in Makassar City, people's enthusiasm can be seen from the increasing number of people exercising, both individual sports such as running and cycling, as well as people joining fitness centers. Those who do this will usually end up feeling tired or known as burn out, and in the end this will make the program fail to be implemented. In this PKM activity, it was carried out at one of the FAST2FIT fitness centers in Makassar City. The type of assistance provided starts from measuring nutritional status to education regarding managing diet according to the fitness program needs of each partner member. Apart from that, more special and intense assistance is also offered for partners who want continuous assistance. The results and activities were that 32 mentoring participants were involved in the activities, and all of them showed positive responses both when educational activities were carried out and when feedback was provided. The service activities carried out consist of tests and measurements, education, and evaluation of mentoring activities.

Abstract

The study aims to evaluate students' achievement in understanding English materials at the primary level through the analysis of speaking skills. The results show that students have poor speaking skills, especially in using the right words and correct sentence structure. Teachers need to increase guidance and supervision of students in speaking so that they can improve their speaking skills. The research method used was qualitative with observation and in-depth interview techniques. This research provides recommendations for curriculum development and more effective teaching strategies to improve students' speaking skills at the primary level. As such, this research makes an important contribution to improving the English speaking skills of primary school students through a more focused and targeted approach, and provides a foundation for the development of better education in the future.

Abstract

This research aims to describe scout extracurricular activities at SD N Ngaliyan 01, as well as activities aimed at developing disciplinary character at the school. This research uses a qualitative approach. In this method, the researcher acts as the main instrument, and data collection is carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. The data obtained is generally qualitative in nature, with the data analysis carried out being inductive/qualitative. The focus of this research is the analysis of the implementation of scouting activities in the formation of disciplinary character at SDN Ngaliyan 01. The subjects of this research are Siaga scout students at SDN Ngaliyan 01. Data was collected through observation and interviews, then analyzed using qualitative descriptive methods. This research details scouting education as a means to improve the disciplinary character of students at SDN Ngaliyan 01. The research results show that (1) the formation of students' disciplinary character can be formed through scouting activities such as completing scouting attributes, (2) ceremonies, establishing rules or regulations , and through activities such as games which can help in the process of forming a disciplined character in students.

Abstract

Tulisan ini berisi kegiatan dan materi kegiatan Pengabdian pada Masyarakat yang diadakan pada tanggal 5 Mei 2023. Penyelenggara kegiatan adalah SMP Negeri 2 Sumalata Timur, Kabupaten Gorontalo Utara, Provinsi Gorontalo. Peserta kegiatan adalah pata guru, baik yang berasal dari Kabupaten Gorontalo Utara maupun dari luar Kabupaten Gorontalo Utara. Materi Kegiatan adalah ”Strategi Membangun Novelty dalam Karya Ilmiah”. Kegiatan ini didadasrkan pada fenomena di mana para guru diminta membuat karya tulis ilmiah, baik dalam bentuk lapoan penelitian tindakan kelas mauoun artikel ilmiah. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dalam bentuki penyajian materi oleh penulis dan tanya jawab. Dalam penyajian penulis menjelaskan hakekat novelty dan pentingnya novelty. Novelty adalah temuan terbaru dalam karya tulis.pentingnya novelty adalah untuk memajukan pemikiran ilmiah dan syarat dimuatnya artikel dalam jurnal terakreditasi. Hasil kegiatan adalah dalam bentuk jangka pendek dan jangka panjang. Jangka pendek adalah para guru memiliki pengetahuan yang memadai tentang novelty. Hasil jangka panjang adalah diharapkan para guru nanti bisa membuat novelty.

Abstract

Research aims to explain how to improve mastery of English vocabulary using group learning methods or cooperative learning methods. Data collection was carried out using the Internet Searching method , namely searching for data through internet media to obtain information based on references, journals and articles. And the author carries out documentation techniques by obtaining strong evidence through books that contain information and to support information about Improving Students Vocabulary By Study Club Method and Research This is also a literature review research (Library Research) by reviewing theses and journals related to English language learning in elementary schools. The results show that the approach to learning English at the play group level up to elementary school using a cooperative learning model is empirically proven to be able to improve the learning process, learning achievement and student learning completion. Abstract

Waste is defined as something that is no longer used, unused, disliked or something that is thrown away, which comes from human activities and does not occur by itself or remains from a business or activity in the form of piles of used goods, animal waste, plants or vegetables. Environmental balance becomes disturbed if the amount of waste products exceeds the environmental tolerance threshold and causes damage and can have a negative impact on human health. So it is necessary to handle waste, one way to process waste to make it more useful is by making Paving Blocks. In Nirannuang Village, Bontomarannu District, the community was given training on how to use waste such as plastic waste, used oil waste and sugarcane bagasse waste as material for making paving blocks. The aim is to expand the creativity of the people of Nirannuang Village, Bontomarannu District and help them create independent businesses that can improve their own economy and that of the surrounding community. Training is carried out by delivering speeches and interactive discussions. The results of the socialization show that the understanding of the people of Nirannuang Village, Bontomarannu District in entrepreneurship has increased significantly, as evidenced by a questionnaire regarding interest in exploring making Paving Blocks from plastic waste, which has increased by 90%. Apart from that, the community was very enthusiastic and fully participated in the stages of socialization activities.

Abstract

The application of listening techniques with music must be very effective every day so that the results can be seen, and must be done with an introduction to grammar and other grammar in English. and this technique must be carefully considered, such as students' language skills and strategies that can be used when learning and teaching according to the explanation above, the author is very interested in conducting research on the listening learning program at the Islamic University of North Sumatra, on students in the second semester of Stambuk 23. to find out the learning program that is implemented in the classroom. This research aims to answer the following question (1) What materials are applied in listening lessons? (2) Are the students' listening skills good? (3)What effective methods do lecturers use for students? (4)Why do lecturers apply this method in their classes?(5) Is this an effective way to develop students' skills better?. Based on the information it can be concluded that listening plays a crucial role in language acquisition and proficiency. The document emphasizes the importance of developing effective listening skills to enhance language abilities and compete in a globalized world. Various strategies and techniques, such as using songs or TOEFL tests, are recommended to make listening activities more engaging and effective for students. These strategies aim to improve students' listening comprehension, pronunciation, and overall language skills. Furthermore, the document highlights the significance of incorporating music listening as a strategy to enhance English language learning. Music can serve as an engaging tool to present grammatical structures, new vocabulary, and rhymes in an entertaining way, thereby facilitating language acquisition.

Abstract

The ability to speak English is a very valuable skill. With good English speaking skills, a person can confidently introduce himself or others. The aim of this research is to determine students' ability to use English and fluency when introducing themselves. The method used in this research uses qualitative methods with interview design and documentation. This research involved 26 students in class 3 of Al Ittihadiyah elementary school. The results of this research show that there are some students who are fluent in using English by introducing themselves. However, there are also some students who are still not fluent in using English, lack vocabulary and lack self-confidence.
