Abstract

This study examines the dynamics of the Darussalam Islamic Boarding School organization in the digital era with a convergence model approach, especially in using digital technology to support management and education. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation analysis involving key informants such as Islamic boarding school caretakers, administrators, students, and guardians of students. The study results indicate that digitalization has brought significant changes in the organizational structure of Islamic boarding schools, communication patterns between actors, and management strategies, although traditional values are still maintained. The convergence model is applied through technology integration to strengthen internal and external communication, such as using digital media in learning and managing student information. The implications of this study show the importance of Islamic boarding school adaptation to technological developments to improve management effectiveness and competitiveness while offering guidance for traditional-based educational institutions in facing the challenges of the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the management of ethical issues in dealing with social media crises by Islamic boarding schools, focusing on the strategies implemented to maintain the institution's image and public trust. The research approach used is qualitative with a case study design. It takes Nurul Jadid Islamic Boarding School as the research subject because of its active social media activities and experience in handling various digital crises. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with social media managers and Islamic boarding school leaders, observations of Islamic boarding school social media activities, and analysis of digital documents in the form of uploads, comments, and responses to emerging issues. Data analysis techniques were carried out thematically by identifying relevant patterns from the collected data and triangulation to ensure the validity of the findings. The results of the study indicate that Islamic boarding schools face a dilemma in balancing social media trends with religious values, challenges in responding to diverse audiences ethically, and the lack of a structured crisis management strategy. These findings emphasize the importance of value-based social media crisis management to maintain the integrity of religious institutions in a dynamic digital era.

Abstract

This research focuses on the role of Alumnus and social media strategies in building reputation and branding. With a qualitative approach based on case studies, this study aims to explore how Alumnus contribute to the reputation of the institution and how social media, particularly Instagram and Facebook managed by P4NJ, support pesantren branding. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. Respondents consisted of Alumnus, P4NJ administrators, and people who were directly related to pesantren activities. The data were analyzed using reduction, presentation, and verification techniques to obtain structured and valid findings. The results of the study show that Alumnus have a strategic role in supporting the reputation of the pesantren through their active involvement in promotion, fundraising, and community empowerment programs. Social media has proven to be an effective tool to support pesantren branding, with engaging visual content and active interaction creating a strong emotional connection with the audience. The combination of Alumnus involvement and the use of social media has a significant impact on increasing the positive image of pesantren at the local, national, and international levels. This research enriches the literature on Islamic education by providing new insights into the synergy between tradition and technology in building religious-based educational institutions. The implication of this research is that pesantren can utilize Alumnus as a strategic asset to support their reputation and integrate digital technology to reach a wider audience. This research also opens up space for more in-depth follow-up research related to the role of social media in Islamic education.

Abstract

This study examines the use of Geographic Information System (GIS) in mapping divorce-prone areas and its implications for family education policy. Using a qualitative approach, this study used interviews, observations, and documentation to collect data. The results showed that GIS effectively maps areas with high divorce rates, which are influenced by factors such as education, economy, and age of marriage. GIS in family education policy allows for more targeted interventions, such as economic empowerment programs in areas with economic and education problems and communication training in areas with high divorce rates due to relationship problems. These findings strengthen the existing literature on the importance of geographic data-based policies to address social problems but also indicate the need for increased socialization to increase public acceptance.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an effective time management model for Tahfidz students in Islamic boarding schools by integrating Islamic principles and modern productivity strategies. Good time management is essential for students who must balance memorizing the Qur’an and academic tasks. However, many students have difficulty managing their busy schedules, which causes stress and decreased productivity. This study uses a qualitative case study approach with data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis in a Tahfidz Islamic boarding school in Indonesia. The main findings of this study indicate that students define time management as a way to organize and utilize time productively. They apply strategies such as determining priorities, making to-do lists, and allocating time according to activity portions. However, the main challenge faced is difficulty managing academic tasks amidst a tight memorization schedule. This study proposes an Al-'Ashr-Based Time Management Model that emphasizes four main principles: awareness of the importance of time, utilization of time for good deeds, reminding each other of the truth, and resilience in facing tests. The contribution of this study is to provide a model that combines spiritual motivation with a structured scheduling method. The implication of this study is the importance of implementing a more flexible scheduling system to improve efficiency and balance between memorization and academic tasks in Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

This research aims to understand how parents can design and implement risk mitigation strategies in early childhood education by utilizing local wisdom. This research will examine the role of local wisdom in reducing the negative impact of social media and strengthening the formation of children's character and social skills. The qualitative research approach uses interviews and observations of parents actively integrating local cultural values into their children's education. The research results show that parents who understand and master local wisdom in children and integrate it into their parenting can create an effective local wisdom-based learning environment. Additionally, collaboration with the community to expand learning has also proven beneficial. This research provides important implications regarding the need to integrate local wisdom in early childhood education as an effective effort to reduce harmful risks. Therefore, this research contributes to developing local culture-based education policies that can improve children's quality of education and social development.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of stakeholder empowerment in Islamic education management at MI Mambaul Ulum Tulupari, an Islamic elementary school in Tiris, Probolinggo. This study explores how collaboration between parents, teachers, and the community can improve the quality of education based on Islamic values. Although stakeholder involvement in education has been widely discussed, its application in the context of Islamic education is still limited. Therefore, this study seeks to fill this gap by investigating the active contribution of each stakeholder in designing, implementing, and evaluating education policies in schools. Using qualitative research methods, data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study show that close collaboration between parents, teachers, and the community plays a significant role in improving the quality of education, both in academic aspects and in the formation of students' character. These findings make an important contribution to the development of more inclusive and sustainable Islamic education management, and emphasize the importance of the active role of all stakeholders in creating a holistic education that is in accordance with Islamic values.
