Abstract

The community service activity carried out was an Inclusive ECE seminar with the topic of getting to know children with special needs more closely. This community service program was held at Melati Kindergarten, Gowa Regency. The seminar participants were 12 people consisting of 6 teachers, 1 principal and 5 students who were conducting the MBKM Independent Study program at Melati Kindergarten, Gowa Regency. This service program aims to make teachers and principals more familiar with special needs children and how to handle them. The implementation methods used in this service are presentation, lecture, and discussion methods. The results of this service activity were measured using a pre-test and post-test given to participants to determine the increase in understanding before and after being given inclusive education seminar material. The data collected was then analyzed using the Wilcoxon Test with the help of SPSS, the results of which showed that the data Asymp (2-tailed) = 0.01 <0.05, meaning that there was a significant difference between the participants' understanding before and after being given the Inclusive ECE Seminar. The results of the service showed an increase in awareness of children with special needs, an increase in participants' understanding of the types of children with special needs, and also an increase in participants' understanding of the treatment that can be done for children with special needs.

Abstract

Students Association of Himakuatik was implemented The Bina Desa program in Panjang Island, Penutuk Village, Lepar Pongok District, South Bangka Regency. Panjang Island is one of the isolated islands in the Bangka Belitung Islands which has a low literacy culture, especially among children. One of the causes of the low level of literacy skills of elementary school students in Panjang Island is due to the small collection of fiction and non-fiction reading books at school and at home. The purpose of the work program to create a literacy corner in Pulau Panjang is to provide reading facilities and form reading habits for Pulau Panjang children. The implementation of activities goes through several stages, namely preparation, implementation and evaluation. The results of the service obtained are the availability of literacy facilities in the form of a literacy corner and forming reading habits for children in Long Island Hamlet.

Abstract

This article discusses the Community Service (PKM) program which aims to empower housewives in the coastal area of Panrangluhu Beach through training in making charcoal briquettes from coconut shells. This activity is carried out with a focus on the creation of charcoal briquette products with high selling value and environmentally friendly. The main objective of this program is to improve the skills of housewives in making charcoal briquettes, improve the economic aspects of families through increasing income from the sale of charcoal briquettes, and at the same time support efforts to preserve the coastal environment. The methodology of implementing the program involves technical training in making charcoal briquettes and education on sustainable environmental aspects. In this training, housewives are trained to identify and use environmentally friendly local raw materials, as well as understand the importance of sustainable natural resource management. The result of this program is an increase in the knowledge and skills of housewives in producing high-quality charcoal briquettes, which can then be sold at more favorable prices. It is hoped that this PKM program will provide dual benefits, namely improving the standard of living of Panrangluhu Beach coastal housewives through increasing income and at the same time encouraging environmental awareness in the use of natural resources. In addition, the application of environmentally friendly practices in the production of charcoal briquettes can also contribute to the preservation of vulnerable coastal ecosystems.

Abstract

The focus of this program is Mendeley Reference Management Training for Electrical Engineering Education Students at FT UNM in Makassar City. The main challenge in putting this community service project into practice is figuring out how to improve the academic standards of students at Makassar State University's Faculty of Engineering, particularly in the Department of Electrical Engineering Education, by learning about and compiling a bibliography to support final assignment activities. According to the 2019 Final project Guidelines for the Faculty of Engineering, a bibliography should follow the guidelines provided and include information about all sources utilized in the research report and final project. Training is required to enhance students' abilities in reference management because the majority of students create bibliographies manually, which leads to a variety of issues, including inefficient writing of the bibliography. In order to create a good and appropriate bibliography or reference list that complies with the guidelines provided in the UNM FT Student Final Assignment Guidelines, this service activity aims to provide an understanding of the Mendeley application and how to use it.

Abstract

Digital transformation in all areas of life has reached the Metaverse era, especially in the field of education which has an impact on changing the education paradigm. This transformation is a driving force to improve the quality of education in Indonesia, Universities which are the mecca of civilization should adopt the progress of digital transformation, the Department of Informatics and Computer Engineering in this case in laboratory management requires an integrated and well-documented information system to manage inventory and facilitate the process of borrowing and returning goods in the laboratory. The lack of such an information system can cause problems in inventory management and laboratory use. Therefore, a community service program was carried out to develop a free inventory feature integrated with digital signatures in the SIM-LAB application at the Department of Informatics and Computer Engineering, FT UNM. This program aims to improve the quality of inventory management in the laboratory. In order to solve the problems faced by partners, the solutions offered through this PKM program are 1) Implementing a free inventory feature integrated with digital signatures in the SIM-LAB JTIK application, 2) Provide training related to the application, use, and maintenance of free swollen features integrated with digital signatures to JTIK Laboratory operators. After being given training, they are then guided to apply the results of the training in order to improve the quality of inventory management in the laboratory.

Abstract

The Independent Curriculum-based Teaching Module Development Training is an initiative directed at strengthening the pedagogical skills of Productive Vocational High School (SMK) teachers in Makassar City. The Merdeka Curriculum gives schools the freedom to develop teaching modules that are relevant to local and industry needs. This research aims to improve the quality of teaching and learning in Productive Vocational Schools through this training. The training method involves Productive SMK teachers in the process of developing teaching modules. The activity begins with an in-depth understanding of the essence of Merdeka Curriculum and the specific needs of students of Productive Vocational Schools in Makassar City. Furthermore, trainees are provided with guidance and skills in designing teaching modules that are responsive to the local context and incorporate applicable curriculum principles. Training results are measured through qualitative and quantitative assessments of the teaching modules produced. In addition, a participatory evaluation was conducted involving teachers, students, and industry as key stakeholders. It was found that this training was effective in increasing teachers' understanding of the Merdeka Curriculum and was able to produce teaching modules that were more contextual and relevant. The conclusion of this activity is that training in developing teaching modules based on the Merdeka Curriculum can be a strategic step in improving the quality of education in Productive Vocational Schools. By involving teachers in the module development process, they can better understand student needs and produce teaching materials that are more in line with the demands of the industrial world. The implications of this research can provide guidance for education policy at the regional level in supporting the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Productive SMK schools.

Abstract

This PKM is about PKM Training on the use of used bottle waste and newspapers as creative learning media at SMPN 4 Bajeng. The problem faced by these partners is that waste bottles and newspapers around the students' area are not used as waste. Students are less sensitive to the potential in their environment, causing them not to have many ideas about creative learning media, one of which is the use of used bottles and newspapers. Students receive training on the use of waste bottles and newspapers from competent parties in making creative learning media. The solution offered by the service team is to conduct training on the use of used bottles and newspapers as creative learning media. In implementing this PKM program, the speakers presented are from educational circles, both lecturers and teachers who are capable of developing their profession, especially the use of waste bottles and newspapers as creative learning media: (1) Welcoming the service team from Makassar State University by the principal of SMP 4 Bajeng, (2) Material provision activities, (3) Mentoring and evaluation of class X students at SMP 4 Bajeng. Training methods are lecture methods, question and answer methods, and training/practice methods.

Abstract

The Community Partnership Program (PKM) partner is Cluster 3 Bangkala, Jeneponto Regency. The problem is divided into 2, namely the knowledge aspect and the practical aspect. The knowledge aspect is: Elementary school teachers in Cluster 3 Bangkala Jeneponto Regency do not yet know the steps for learning the CBL Base Proyek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5). The practical aspect of the service partner, namely the teacher at SD Gugus 3 Bangkala, Jeneponto Regency, does not have experience implementing Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5). The model applied in training with the methods used are: lectures, demonstrations, discussions, questions and answers, collaboration and assignments. Which was carried out at one of the Bangkala cluster 3 schools, Kab. Jeneponto which was attended by 60 teachers from 8 schools that are members of cluster 3 Bangkala Regency. Jeneponto. The results achieved are from the knowledge aspect that the partner teacher knows the steps for learning the CBL-based Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) and practically the partner teacher is able to design learning for the CBL-based Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) in learning activities.

Abstract

The increasing population growth and demand for transportation energy in Indonesia, particularly from fossil fuel-powered vehicles, highlight the urgency of adopting environmentally friendly technologies. The government's focus on electric vehicles is promising, but it requires competent human resources support. The Community Service Program (PKM) titled "Energy Optimization Through Mechanization Training for Vehicle Control Systems: A PKM Approach" at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Makassar, has made a significant contribution. Through the PKM approach, students are actively engaged, enhancing their knowledge and practical skills in implementing energy-efficient technology. The outcomes include improved assembly and integration skills for control system mechanisms and the implementation of technology in personal vehicles. This training also raises environmental awareness and empowers students as agents of change. Positive evaluations from aspects of knowledge, skills, and social impact support the importance of developing competent human resources to facilitate the advancement of energy-efficient vehicle technology in Indonesia.

Abstract

Training for teachers aims to ensure that educators have professional skills and can maximize the learning process in the classroom. Mechanical measuring instruments are tools used to measure various parameters in mechanics, such as length, angle, mass, speed, pressure and force, the measurement results determine the quality of a product. One measuring instrument that has a high level of accuracy is a micrometer. Training on the use and reading of measuring instruments is an effort to improve and refresh teachers' abilities in using micrometer measuring instruments. The micrometer that will be displayed is a measuring instrument that is more widely used in industry. This activity begins with: (1) Observation (2) Concept (3) Implementation (4) Evaluation (5) Further training. The result of this training was an increase in teachers' ability to use measuring instruments, as well as efforts by the school to equip facilities, especially measuring instruments, at the school.
