Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of logistic performance on Customer Loyalty in the context of e-commerce, with Customer Satisfaction as a mediating variable. Three dimensions of logistic performance are examined: Logistic Service Quality, Cost Delivery, and Integration Process. A quantitative approach is used with descriptive and inferential analysis techniques. Data were collected through an online survey of logistics service users in e-commerce platforms and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that Logistic Service Quality has a significant negative direct effect on Customer Loyalty, suggesting an anomaly in customer expectations toward logistics services. Conversely, Cost Delivery and Integration Process show significant positive effects on Customer Loyalty. Regarding Customer Satisfaction, Logistic Service Quality and Cost Delivery have positive impacts, while Integration Process has a negative influence. Furthermore, Customer Satisfaction significantly increases Customer Loyalty, reinforcing its mediating role in the model. The mediation analysis reveals that Customer Satisfaction successfully mediates the relationship between Logistic Service Quality and Customer Loyalty, turning a negative direct effect into a positive indirect one. However, for the Integration Process, an indirect negative effect on Customer Loyalty through Customer Satisfaction is observed, indicating that complex or user-unfriendly systems may reduce Customer Satisfaction and loyalty. These findings imply that logistics companies should not only focus on cost efficiency and technological integration but also consider customer comfort and satisfaction to foster long-term loyalty in the e-commerce ecosystem.

Abstract

This study investigates how salary influences work satisfaction and retention among Generation Z employees in Surabaya, using job satisfaction as a mediator. The study uses an explanatory quantitative method to address high turnover rates, which are connected to wage discontent and limited career advancement. Questionnaires were used to collect data from 80 respondents, which were then analyzed with multiple linear regression, t-tests, and Sobel tests. The results reveal that salary has a favorable and considerable impact on both work satisfaction and retention. Job satisfaction has a favorable influence on retention and serves as a mediator between salary and retention. Finally, greater remuneration increases job happiness, which enhances Generation Z employee retention, emphasizing the need of competitive and equitable pay practices.

Abstract

This study looks at how company culture and work ethic affect the performance of Generation Z employees, using employee engagement as a mediator. Data were obtained using an associative quantitative technique through an online survey of Generation Z employees (ages 18-28 with at least six months of service) and analyzed using PLS-SEM. The results show that company culture has a favorable and considerable impact on performance, both directly and indirectly through employee engagement. However, work ethic only has a major impact on performance when employee participation is fully mediated. One important result is that employee involvement does not directly boost Generation Z performance; rather, intrinsic motivation has a larger effect.

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between Port Service Quality (PSQ) and Customer Loyalty (CL), taking into account the mediating roles of Customer Experience (CE) and Customer Satisfaction (CS) in the context of import activities at the Tanjung Priok Container Terminal. The research is motivated by the declining competitiveness of Tanjung Priok Port in comparison to other major ports such as Tanjung Perak, and the growing necessity to retain customer loyalty amid rising expectations for logistics efficiency and digital transformation in port operations. A critical strategic factor in enhancing port service efficiency lies in the optimization of port administration functions, particularly those carried out by the Harbormaster and Port Authority Office (KSOP). KSOP plays a key role in overseeing and facilitating port operations, including coordination in traderelated processes such as customs clearance and quarantine. These administrative procedures have been significantly streamlined through the adoption of the Single Submission Management (SSM) system—an integrated electronic platform that enables faster, cross-agency document processing. Employing a quantitative approach, this study utilizes Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to analyze data collected from 200 active importers operating at Tanjung Priok Port. The research model considers PSQ as the independent variable, CE and CS as mediating variables, and CL as the dependent variable. The findings demonstrate that PSQ has a statistically significant effect on CL, both directly and indirectly through the mediation of CE and CS. These results underscore the importance of service quality enhancement as a means to improve customer experience and satisfaction, ultimately fostering greater customer loyalty. Strengthening digital infrastructure and inter-agency coordination through systems such as SSM is thus essential for improving port competitiveness and long-term customer retention.

Abstract

Hospitals, as healthcare service institutions, play a vital role in providing inpatient, outpatient, and emergency care. Service quality is strongly influenced by the performance of healthcare professionals, particularly doctors and nurses, who face high workloads, job satisfaction demands, and the risk of fatigue. Excessive workload may lead to fatigue, stress, and decreased performance, which in turn affect service quality. On the other hand, job satisfaction and the psychological condition of healthcare workers are also assumed to influence service quality. This study was conducted at RSU St. Antonius Pontianak, a class B referral hospital with a high average daily patient visit rate. The purpose of the study was to analyze the influence of workload, job satisfaction, and work fatigue on the service quality of doctors and nurses. The research employed a quantitative survey design by distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents consisting of doctors and nurses. Data analysis was performed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the SMARTPLS 3 software. The results indicate that workload has a significant effect on service quality, while job satisfaction and work fatigue have no significant effect on service quality. These findings suggest that workload is the dominant factor determining service quality, whereas job satisfaction and fatigue do not directly reduce service quality because healthcare professionals continue to maintain professionalism and adhere to service standards. This study implies that hospital management should pay greater attention to workload management among healthcare workers through balanced task distribution, proper shift arrangements, and adequate facility support to ensure continuous improvement in service quality.

Abstract

Abstract

Legal Protection of the Right to Self-Defense for Members of the Indonesian National Police Tried in Code of Ethics Hearings with a Dishonorable Discharge Verdict,” examines the tension between Polri’s disciplinary mechanisms and Indonesia’s criminal justice system. In practice, police personnel accused of criminal offenses are frequently subjected to Dishonorable Discharge (PTDH) through code of ethics hearings before a final criminal judgment (inkracht van gewijsde) is issued. This raises questions about the protection of the right to self-defense, the presumption of innocence, and the principle of justice. The study aims to (1) analyze how legal protection for self-defense should be guaranteed in Polri’s code of ethics hearings, and (2) assess whether PTDH imposed prior to a binding criminal verdict is consistent with the principles of Indonesian law. Findings indicate that, while regulations mandate adherence to audi et alteram partem, the presumption of innocence, and procedural safeguards under the Penal Code and Code of Criminal Procedure, in practice PTDH is often applied prematurely, undermining legal certainty and fairness. Case comparisons, including Brigadier Andriansyah (pre-inkracht) and Bripka Yuswindra (post-inkracht), highlight inconsistent practices within the institution. The research concludes that PTDH should only be executed after a final criminal judgment, thereby ensuring substantive justice, legal certainty, and the protection of fundamental rights. Recommendations include harmonizing disciplinary and criminal justice processes and revising internal Polri regulations to align with constitutional and criminal law principles.
