Abstract

The problem of student absenteeism is the main problem faced by teachers at SMA Negeri 8 Medan, Kec. Medan Area, Medan City. This problem is caused by several factors, namely internal and external factors. Therefore, the role of educators is needed in efforts to overcome this problem. The aim of the research conducted by the author is to find out the role of guidance and counseling teachers in handling cases of student absenteeism at SMA Negeri 8 Medan, Kec. Medan Area, Medan City. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research. In this research, the author conducted interviews with teachers to obtain information regarding the role of guidance and counseling teachers in handling cases of student absenteeism at SMA Negeri 8 Medan, Kec. Medan Area, Medan City. Interviews are carried out by asking questions that focus on the problem being studied. So, based on research that the author has conducted, the effective and efficient efforts and strategies that guidance and counseling teachers carry out at SMA Negeri 8 Medan are to carry out home visits or direct visits to students' homes and establish good interactive relationships between teachers and students' parents

Abstract

This research aims to see the impact of the development of Indonesian democracy on the Principles of Indonesian Unity. As the world's largest democracy with a large population and cultural, religious and ethnic diversity, Indonesia has experienced significant political change since the 1998 reforms. As part of this transition, Indonesia adopted Pancasila as the basis of the state. Pancasila contains five commandments, one of which is the principle of Indonesian Unity. The development of democracy in Indonesia has had a significant impact on the implementation of the values ​​of the Principles of Unity. Through a democratic process that continues to develop, various elements of society have the opportunity to participate in nation building and express their opinions and desires in political decision making. The method for writing this research uses library research, namely a method of collecting data by understanding and studying theories from various literature related to research. The results of this research are that the development of Indonesian democracy has had a significant positive impact on the Principles of Indonesian Unity. The Principles of Indonesian Unity have become more effective in building unity and oneness amidst existing diversity, as well as increasing the protection of human rights and awareness of equality between citizens.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the concept of social welfare according to the Malay community in Batu Bara, North Sumatra, in the context of the fifth principle of Pancasila values: "Social Justice for All Indonesian People." Welfare here is defined as a state where the basic needs of individuals and society are met fairly and equally, including aspects of economics, health, education and psychological well-being. This research uses a qualitative approach with ethnographic methods, involving participant observation and in-depth interviews with community leaders, families and individuals in Batubara. The research results show that the concept of social welfare in the Malay community in Batubara is strongly influenced by Islamic cultural and religious values, which are in line with the principles of social justice in Pancasila. Social solidarity, mutual cooperation and zakat are the three main pillars that support social welfare in this community. Social solidarity is realized through the practice of helping each other in various social activities, while mutual cooperation is reflected in cooperation in infrastructure development and traditional events. Zakat, as a religious obligation, plays a significant role in the redistribution of wealth and alleviation of poverty.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the role of education in fostering a civilized humanity. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative method with a literature review approach. Education plays a crucial role in building a civilized humanity. The main goal of education is not only to transfer knowledge but also to develop character, moral values, and ethics that support harmonious coexistence. In this context, education functions as an agent of social change that can shape individuals who are responsible, tolerant, and respectful of differences. This article analyzes how education can contribute to building a civilized society by reinforcing human values such as justice, equality, and mutual respect. The analysis results show that effective and inclusive education can serve as the main foundation in efforts to build a civilized and sustainable humanity.

Abstract

The Indonesian nation is a nation that adheres to the Pancasila philosophy, therefore every value in the Pancasila principles must be applied in national and state life. As the 4th principle of Pancasila states "The people are led by wisdom in deliberation/representation". This means that the principle of deliberation to reach consensus through representatives and representative bodies is put forward in fighting for the people's mandate. This view provides justification that democracy in this republic is carried out through an election mechanism (general election). In its implementation, democracy with people's sovereignty needs to be imbued and integrated with other principles, accompanied by a sense of responsibility to God Almighty, upholding human values ​​in accordance with human dignity, guaranteeing and strengthening national unity and used to realize social justice. . The existence of democracy with the spirit of Pancasila causes citizens to look at each other, respect, accept and cooperate in the form of unity for the common interests of "society" or "state".

Abstract

Education has an important role as an agent of change in developing a culture of social justice. This article analyzes how the education system can be an effective instrument for promoting equality, inclusivity and justice in society. Through a critical pedagogical approach and a curriculum based on social justice values, education can form individuals who are aware of the importance of human rights and justice. This study also explores the challenges and opportunities faced by educational institutions in implementing the concept of social justice, as well as providing strategic recommendations for maximizing the role of education in creating a more just and equal society.

Abstract

In the digital era, technological developments have changed the paradigm of education and teaching, including the implementation of Pancasila values. This article explores the role of technology in strengthening Pancasila values ​​in the digital era. Through the literature study method, this research collects and analyzes various literature sources relevant to this theme. The results show that the use of technology, especially in character education, can increase the accessibility, effectiveness and relevance of Pancasila values. Digital learning media allows students to learn independently and collaboratively, and facilitates the delivery of Pancasila values ​​more easily and interestingly. However, challenges also arise, including problems in implementing norms and ethics, as well as the negative impacts of technology use. Therefore, an effective strategy is needed to utilize technology wisely to strengthen the values ​​of Pancasila in the digital era.

Abstract

Manufacturing companies in determining the cost of production use the Activity Based Costing System (ABC) method as a more effective determinant of the cost of production for the company. This research aims to determine the cost of production of manufacturing companies at UD Sumber Rejeki. The data collection method is through descriptive research methods. The result of this research is that the cost of production using the Activity Based Costing System (ABC) method for office desks is obtained by a difference of Rp. 100,033 and Rp. 2,766,783 for bunk beds. Meanwhile, cupboards using the traditional method get a difference of IDR 500,000 compared to using the method Activity Based Costing System (ABC).

Abstract

A balanced and sustainable understanding of national identity, human rights, and globalization is key to shaping an inclusive and just society in an era of global dynamics. This article aims to explore the role of Pancasila education in maintaining national identity and human rights in the era of globalization. This article examines the science with qualitative methods with in-depth-interview data collection techniques by analyzing literature and policies related to Pancasila education and its impact on national identity and human rights. The results show that Pancasila education provides a strong foundation for the community in understanding national values and human rights, as well as forming an attitude that is inclusive and appreciates diversity in the era of globalization. This article is important to strengthen the understanding of the urgency of Pancasila education as the main fortress in maintaining national identity and human rights amid the complex challenges of globalization.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the phenomenon that occurs in the students' environment when using slang becomes a habit and daily language and the impact on students at SMK Negeri 10 Medan by not using good and correct Indonesian. The sample sampling in this mini research is students who use slang and are not good at speaking Indonesian well and describe the characteristics of the research population. This type of research is qualitative, namely a qualitative data analysis method that clarifies situations experienced in everyday life. The results of this research can be concluded that the existence of slang is certainly very detrimental to the existence of the Indonesian language. They found that slang can be used comfortably among them. This is considered to be a characteristic that differentiates it from other groups among students.
