Abstract

Democracy, national spirit and integration are the three main pillars that form the foundation for Indonesia's progress. However, unfortunately, the younger generation in the country feels that these three pillars are still not optimally implemented. In this paper, we will discuss young people's views on democracy, national spirit and integration in Indonesia. Our paper uses a qualitative research approach by interviewing 24 respondents, consisting of university students and high school students. From the interviews, the young generation expressed their concern about the condition of democracy, national spirit, and integration in Indonesia. They considered that democracy in Indonesia has not yet achieved the expected goals, as there are still widespread cases of corruption, inequality, and intolerance. Meanwhile, the importance of improving the national spirit through better education and character building was recognized. Integration in the country is also hampered by the still rampant issues of racism and intolerance. To strengthen democracy, national spirit, and integration, the young generation recommends that more serious efforts be made in the areas of education, law enforcement, and inter-group dialog. Only through these concrete measures can Indonesia achieve the goal of authentic democracy and strengthen the national spirit and integration in a diverse society.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how grade 5 students implement science learning at SD N 1 Bebalang. The subjects in this research were 18 people who were class V students. The instruments used were interviews, observation sheets and documentation. The question to be answered in this research is: How is science learning implemented in class 5 of SD N 1 Bebalang?" To answer this question then This research uses a type of qualitative research using methods qualitative descriptive. Meanwhile, in analyzing the data, researchers used quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. Implementation of Class V Science Learning at SD N 1 Bebalang on pedagogical indicators can be categorized as very good, namely before learning the teacher makes a lesson plan, prepares teaching materials and learning media according to the subject being taught. Apart from that, at the stage of implementing science learning currently teachers use learning methods which varies greatly. At the end of science learning, teachers usually provide evaluations in the form of assignments and test questions to measure students' development and understanding of science learning.

Abstract

This research aims to determine students' interest in learning mathematics at SD N 1 Bebalang. The question to be answered in this research is: What is students' interest in learning in mathematics at SD N 1 Bebalang. To answer this question, this research uses qualitative research using qualitative descriptive methods. The data collection used was questionnaires, interviews and documentation. Meanwhile, in analyzing the data, researchers used quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results of this research are interest in terms of all the indicators that influence being in the interested category. With the percentage of students who were very interested there were 7 people (38.8%), there were 8 students who were interested (44.4%), there were 3 students who were quite interested (16.8%), there were no students who were less interested or not interested (0%). Interest in learning in terms of teacher and student interviews stated that students were included in the category of students interested in participating in mathematics learning.

Abstract

This research aims to examine how the Cooperative Approach and the use of games can increase students' interest in learning physical and sport at Primary School. Learning interest in PE is an important factor in improving learner engagement and achievement. The game learning model and the Cooperative Approach are the focus of this study because this approach emphasizes cooperation and social interaction between learners. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with literature study. The literature study was conducted by searching and analyzing relevant sources regarding the implementation of Sports and Physical learning using games and the Cooperative Approach to increase students' interest in the learning process at elementary schools. Learners tend to show higher motivation, more active engagement and greater interest in learning with game models and cooperative approaches. This research provides a comprehensive understanding of the effect of Game Model Learning and Cooperative Approach on learners' interest in learning through literature review.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the role of PPKn teachers in increasing student learning motivation at SMA Budistrya Medan. This research is research that uses a qualitative approach. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire which contains the types of questions that will be distributed. The research subjects or informants involved in this research were teachers and students of Medan Budisatrya High School. The data analysis techniques used are data collection, data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research indicate that the role of PPKn teachers is in increasing student learning motivation at SMA Budisatrya Medan. among others, giving objective numbers, giving prizes to students who win inter-class competitions and class champions, teachers giving praise to students who can answer questions given during lessons or when they get satisfactory grades after tests or assignments, giving punishments in the form of giving additional tasks, providing input to students whose achievements are still below standard. Obstacles faced by teachers in increasing student learning motivation.

Abstract

Study habits are an important thing to pay attention to because they are one of the main components that support student achievement or learning success. However, quite a few students have poor study habits. This is reflected in the behavior of students who rarely do assignments, are not active in learning activities, do not prepare lesson materials and other behavior that indicates negative study habits. The main aim of this research is to improve the study habits of students at SMPN 8 Denpasar through a problem solving technique group guidance approach. The type of research used is quantitative research with experimental methods. The design used is one-group pretest-posttest. The instruments used are experimental guidelines prepared by researchers and tested by experts and the study habit scale used is adopted by Nawawi (2016). Subject determination uses purposive sampling. The subjects used in this research were eight students who had low study habit scores after a pretest with the study habit scale. The data analysis used is descriptive and inferential analysis in the form of the N-gain Score test and the Wilcoxon test. Based on the results of the pretest and posttest tables, there was an increase in students' study habits scores after being given the intervention, and based on the results of calculations using the SPSS Wilcoxon signed rank test. From this value it is known that 0.012 < 0.05 which means Ha is accepted. Based on the results of this analysis, it can be concluded that group guidance on problem solving techniques is effective in improving students' learning habits.

Abstract

This research aims to understand the political culture of Batak youth at the HKBPSimpang Marindal Church and how this political culture influences youth political participation in the 2024 presidential election. This research was conducted by analyzing the values, beliefs, norms and political practices of the younger generation in Batak society . The research method used is a descriptive method with data collection through questionnaires and documentation, as well as qualitative data analysis. The results of the research show that the political culture of Batak youth at the HKBPSimpang Marindal Church has a significant influence on youth political participation in the 2024 presidential election. The values ​​and norms adhered to by Batak youth in the context of the church influence their attitudes towards politics, trust in political institutions, preferences for candidates or political parties, as well as their involvement in political activities such as campaigns and voting. This research provides in-depth insight into how the young Batak generation is involved in the political process and how their political cultural factors influence political participation in the 2024 presidential election. The results of this research can be an important basis in understanding the role of youth in developing democracy in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of home room group guidance techniques in providing education and efforts to prevent bullying in the school environment at SMK Negeri 10 Medan. The method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytic approach, collecting data through interviews with students and teachers, as well as observations in the school environment. The research results show that the home room group guidance technique is effective in increasing students' and teachers' understanding of bullying, as well as helping them develop the ability to overcome bullying. This technique can facilitate in-depth discussion and reflection about various forms of bullying, its impact, and prevention strategies. In addition, home room group guidance also helps build more positive relationships between students, as well as between students and teachers, thereby creating a school environment that is more conducive to preventing bullying. Thus, this research concludes that the home room group guidance technique is an effective strategy for providing education and efforts to prevent bullying in the school environment. It is hoped that this research can contribute to the development of more effective strategies in preventing bullying in schools.
