Abstract

This study aims to identify the problems faced by teachers in using artificial intelligence technology (AI) in the learning process at MAN 01 Kolaka. The main focus of the research is to examine the inhibiting factors, such as lack of understanding of technology, accessibility, and readiness of educational infrastructure. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation.  The instruments used were observation sheets and interview guidelines. This research was conducted at MAN 1 Kolaka with 10 teachers as research subjects. The data analysis technique used is a qualitative data analysis technique according to Miles and Huberman. The results show that while AI has great potential to improve the quality of learning, several key obstacles, including limited teacher training and resistance to new technologies, are challenges that must be overcome. Research recommendations include the development of AI technology training programs for teachers and the improvement of supporting facilities in schools.

Abstract

Capture fisheries are inherently risky considering the resources used are shared, open management, and dependent on weather, seasons, migration patterns, and fish characteristics. This uncertainty can cause income fluctuations both in terms of time and quantity, which have a significant impact on the quality of life of fishing communities, including in the research location. With this background, research related to the analysis of factors that influence the income of tuna fishermen is very important. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with a snowball sampling technique totaling 11 people. The data collection instrument uses observation sheets, documentation and open interviews as primary data sources in this study. Based on the results of research conducted by researchers in Galala Village, it was found that in sequence the most influential factors were fishermen's working capital, followed by fuel oil, tuna prices, fishermen's labor, fishermen's work experience on their income. Weather factors, fish prices, tend to fluctuate so that it is difficult to predict the catch that fishermen will get after going to sea. However, other factors can be managed well through investment in operational costs and adequate fishing equipment by the government so that the volume of catch increases.

Abstract

The Bajo Mola Raya settlement on Wangi-wangi Island, Wakatobi Regency, is experiencing development that does not align with spatial planning aspects. This research aims to analyze the development of existing residential land use in the Mola Raya area in accordance with the Regional Spatial Plan (RTRW) of Wakatobi Regency; to identify the factors causing the development of residential land use in the Mola Raya area in accordance with the Regional Spatial Plan (RTRW) of Wakatobi Regency, which consists of external and internal factors. External factors include: (a) population growth; (b) community economy; and (c) community socio-culture, while internal factors consist of (d) supervision; (e) licensing; and (f) enforcement. The method used is the map overlay technique. This analysis begins with the results of on-screen digitization of Google Earth imagery from 2018. Then, an overlay technique was performed with the spatial planning map of the Wangi-Wangi Island residential area and a descriptive presentation of the results from the FFA analysis, interviews, and FGDs. The results of this study indicate that the development of residential areas not in accordance with the RTRWK is found in Mola Utara Village with a conformity of 76.53% and Mola Nelayan Bakti Village with 76.87% conformity to the spatial planning of the Wangi-Wangi Island residential area. Furthermore, the factors most influencing the development of the Bajo Mola Raya settlement were found to be the increase in population, the economy of the community, and the socio-cultural aspects of the society. The internal factors indicate a lack of supervision, licensing, and enforcement from the local government.

Abstract

 This research aims to analyze the level of regional disparity using the Williamsom Index analysis, as well as to analyze the socio-economic aspect experiencing that disparity by examining economic development and human resource development. The research results indicate the presence of regional disparity in Southeast Sulawesi Province. The results of the Williamson Index measurement show that Southeast Sulawesi still has a high level of disparity and has experienced fluctuations over the past the years. The highest level of disparity occurred in 2012 at 0,71 (almost perfect disparity) and the lowest in 2019 at 0,44 (moderate disparity). It experienced fluctuations with an increase in disparity peaking in 2013 at 0.67.(disparitas sangat tinggi). The Gini Index measurement also indicated a gap in 2010 of 0.59, categorized as highly unequal. Regional disparities in Southeast Sulawesi Province occur due to differences in regional resource potential and management. The region's inability to pursue development acceleration has resulted in continued isolation, leading to persistent economic capability differences that impact other developments, primarily in road infrastructure, human resource development, and regional progress.

Abstract

Community preparedness in facing flood disasters is a multifaceted issue that involves understanding resilience, increasing knowledge, and implementing effective interventions. Various studies have highlighted the importance of systematic assessment and community involvement to improve the level of preparedness, including this study. This study was conducted with the aim of determining the level of preparedness of the coastal community of Sangaji Village in facing the threat of tidal flooding due to tidal waves. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach or method. To limit the research area, only communities living in the coastal border area within a radius of 200 meters were used as samples in this study with a quota of 10% of the total number of families so that 40 families were obtained as respondents. Based on data analysis, it was found that the level of community preparedness at the research location was included in the very good category (82.02%). The preparedness parameters assessed if described from the largest to the smallest level are the early warning system (96%), Emergency Response Plan (80.5%), Knowledge (80.25%), Resource mobilization (78.25%) Attitude (72.5%). Using loudspeakers from prayer rooms and mosques or ringing electric poles with objects so that they produce sound as methods used in the early warning system which are considered effective. However, the community's attitude is sometimes indifferent in facing preparation, in the form of simulations, socialization related to disasters in general.

Abstract

Gresik Regency is a strategic area for the development of the national economic center in the industrial, trade and service, agriculture, fisheries and tourism sectors. Therefore, Gresik Regency will often face various obstacles and problems, one of which is urbanization.  The study conducted to determine the potential of basic commodities using the Location Quotient (LQ) method. LQ analysis was conducted on data obtained from secondary data (crop production data and livestock numbers) so that information on basic commodities in Gresik Regency was obtained.Result Basic commodities in the food crop sectorthere are several commodities that are the basis in Gresik Regency, namely rice, corn, peanuts, green beans, soybeans, and cassava. In basic commodities in the plantation sector  that there are several commodities that are the basis in Gresik Regency, namely coconut, kapok, castor oil, tobacco, and sugar cane.  That there are several livestock commodities that are the basis in Gresik Regency, namely dairy cattle, beef cattle, buffalo, horses, goats, sheep, laying hens, native chickens, broiler chickens and ducks.

Abstract

Floods and landslides are one of the many main problems faced in Indonesia, including in Southeast Sulawesi, which has a major impact on the lives of its people. In dealing with floods and landslides, mitigation knowledge is needed as an effort to recognize the risk of floods and landslides, as well as how to deal with them. This study aims to evaluate the level of knowledge of grade VIII students of SMPN 01 Wundulako, Kolaka Regency related to flood and landslide disaster mitigation. Through research using a quantitative approach to disaster education, students are equipped with an understanding of the causes, impacts, and mitigation actions of disasters. The results of the study show that the percentage of students' knowledge about flood disaster mitigation, which is 79.7%, is in the high category, and the percentage of students' knowledge level about landslide disaster mitigation, which is 89%, is in the very high category, so that the average of the overall data is 84.4%. Knowledge about disaster mitigation needs to be improved through learning programs that are structured, interactive, and in accordance with students' level of understanding. This step is expected to be able to create a generation that is more aware and ready to face potential disasters in the future.
