Abstract

This study discusses the meaning of tadzkir and ta'nīts in the linguistic perspective of the Qur'an using a qualitative approach through literature study. Data were obtained from verses of the Qur'an, tafsir books, Arabic linguistic literature, and related studies. Analysis was conducted using content analysis to identify the forms of tadzkir and ta'nīts as well as their semantic and rhetorical functions. The results show that the use of tadzkir and ta'nīts in the Qur'an not only follows grammatical rules but also contains contextual meanings that reinforce the message of the verse. The mudzakkar form tends to emphasize the meaning of strength and breadth of generalization, while the mu'annats form is used to indicate specificity of meaning and depth of context. In conclusion, the choice of masculine and feminine forms in the Qur'an is part of the beauty of language that is important in the interpretation of verses.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the 4C-based curriculum (Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration, Creativity) in Arabic language learning at MTs Nurul Hijrah Kandis. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through classroom observations, interviews, and document analysis to obtain an in-depth understanding of teachers’ strategies, learning activities, and challenges in applying the 4C framework. The findings reveal that the integration of 4C is reflected in various instructional practices, including role-playing for speaking skills (kalam), the use of unvowelled Arabic texts to foster critical thinking in reading skills (qira’ah), group discussions to promote collaboration, and creative writing and bulletin board projects to enhance creativity. The implementation of 4C has improved student participation, confidence, and functional language skills. However, several obstacles were identified, such as limited instructional time, students’ low foundational Arabic skills, and the lack of innovative learning media. This study concludes that the application of the 4C curriculum at MTs Nurul Hijrah Kandis has been relatively effective but still requires greater support in terms of facilities, teacher training, and learning culture development to achieve optimal outcomes.

Abstract

The teaching of arts and culture in schools, including theater, plays a crucial role in shaping students' appreciation, imagination, and creativity towards aesthetic values and local and global culture. Through role-playing, performances, and appreciation activities, students not only learn performance techniques but also understand complex human experiences such as conflict, sacrifice, and hope. The success of this process is largely determined by the teacher's choice of teaching methods, especially in the context of traditional Indonesian theater for 10th grade high school students, which requires a balance between artistic aspects and character building. The role- playing method has proven to be effective because it encourages students to explore feelings, attitudes, values, skills, and knowledge through performance and reflective discussion after the performance. This study examines the application of role playing in the script Senja Adegan 2 by Gunawan Wibisana Danubrata, highlighting its relevance to Ki Hadjar Dewantara's perspective, which emphasizes the harmony of thought, feeling, and intention as the basis of character. Through analysis of the performance process and results, the findings are expected to contribute to the development of creative, contextual, student-centered theater learning strategies that are in line with national educational values and character education objectives in secondary schools.

Abstract

Education in Islam has a strong philosophical foundation derived from the Qur’an as the sacred scripture of Muslims. This study aims to examine in depth the terminology, objectives, and educational content from the Qur’anic perspective. The methodology used is a literature review with a thematic tafsir approach to Qur’anic verses related to education. The findings show that the Qur’an employs various educational terms such as tarbiyah, ta’lim, and ta’dib, each having its own meaning and dimension. The objectives of education in the Qur’an include the formation of a faithful and pious personality, the development of intellectual potential and knowledge, as well as the cultivation of noble character. Meanwhile, the content of education encompasses the teaching of tawhid, worship, ethics, knowledge of the universe, and social skills. This study provides an important contribution to understanding a comprehensive and holistic concept of Islamic education based on the primary source of Islamic teachings.

Abstract

The rapid transformation of Indonesia's educational system has raised concerns about curricula that prioritize measurable outcomes and technical skills, often neglecting the deeper dimensions of human identity. This qualitative study aims to reconstruct the concept of human nature as the ontological, anthropological, and philosophical foundation for developing the Merdeka Curriculum in Indonesia. Employing a critical library research approach, this study analyzes philosophical and anthropological perspectives on education alongside policy documents related to the Merdeka Curriculum. The findings indicate that the Merdeka Curriculum possesses significant humanistic potential through its emphasis on learner autonomy, differentiated instruction, and character development as articulated in the Pancasila Student Profile. However, tensions persist between industrial demands and the vision of education as a humanization process. This research underscores the importance of grounding curriculum development in a holistic understanding of human nature to ensure education nurtures learners comprehensively.

Abstract

The Hogo Jako ritual is an old tradition in customary marriages in Tidore. It is considered a way to cleanse oneself and ward off misfortune before starting married life. However, this practice has now declined due to social changes and mixed marriages. Therefore, it is important to study the process and its position from the perspective of ‘urf so that the understanding of tradition and its boundaries within Islamic law becomes clearer. This study aims to explain the process of the Hogo Jako ritual in customary marriages in Tidore and to assess its legal status from the perspective of ‘urf. This research uses a descriptive-analytical qualitative approach with fieldwork in Kelurahan Gurabati, South Tidore District, Tidore Islands City, from November 2024 to February 2025. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The analysis was conducted deductively through the stages of reduction, presentation, and drawing and verifying conclusions. The validity of the data was strengthened through triangulation and discussions with peers or supervisors. The results of the study show that Hogo Jako is a bathing ritual for the bride and groom before the marriage contract to repel misfortune and achieve spiritual cleansing. The ritual is accompanied by symbols and prayers for the couple. The procession is usually held at the bride’s home, involving a female traditional figure (yaya se goa), with the use of water and certain plants as part of the ritual equipment. From the perspective of Islamic law, this ritual is included as ‘urf ‘amali and is considered valid (‘urf shahih) because it does not contradict the Qur’an and Sunnah and does not cause harm. The study also notes the decreasing practice of this ritual, influenced by mixed marriages and social change.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at Madrasah Aliyah, focusing on the roles of the principal and teachers in strengthening student competencies. The curriculum transformation requires madrasahs to carry out managerial adjustments encompassing comprehensive planning, organizing, implementation, and evaluation of the curriculum. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The research subjects include the principal, vice principal for curriculum affairs, subject teachers, and students. The results reveal that the principal actively performs managerial functions through the development of curriculum work programs, formation of curriculum teams, academic supervision, and guiding teachers in preparing teaching modules. Meanwhile, teachers play a crucial role in designing differentiated learning, implementing project-based learning, and applying authentic assessments to measure students’ competency development. The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum has had a positive impact on increasing student participation and creativity, although challenges remain, such as teachers’ limited digital literacy, variation in the quality of teaching modules, and unequal learning facilities. Overall, the study concludes that the success of Merdeka Curriculum implementation is highly determined by the visionary leadership of the principal and the pedagogical readiness of teachers to create a flexible, collaborative, and contextual learning process. The study’s recommendations include the need for advanced training, strengthening digital facilities, and ongoing evaluations to ensure improved learning quality in madrasahs.

Abstract

In the context of modern civil legal relations, the demand for written evidence continues to increase alongside the need for legal certainty in socio-economic transactions. A notarial deed, as an authentic instrument, is regarded as having “perfect and binding” evidentiary force because, doctrinally, it rests on three layers of evidentiary strength: outward (external), formal, and material. However, in disputed civil cases, a paradox emerges: a deed designed as perfect evidence may still be rebutted through tegenbewijs, re-evaluated by the judge, and may even be subject to degradation or annulment. This study aims to analyze the meaning of “perfect evidence” and to explain the factors that make the evidentiary force of notarial deeds non-absolute in judicial practice. The method employed is normative legal research using a statutory, conceptual, and descriptive-analytical approach based on library research on the Indonesian Civil Code, the Notary Position Act, legal doctrines, and relevant literature and court decisions concerning deed disputes. The findings show that the “perfection” of a deed is prima facie in nature: it is binding as long as formal requirements are satisfied and not proven otherwise. Procedural defects (reading of the deed, presence of witnesses, and signing) may reduce the deed’s status to a private deed, while material defects such as defects of consent and abuse of circumstances may lead to annulment. Ultimately, the court becomes the final arena for determining the evidentiary force of a deed, while also exposing notaries to potential liability when the procedure and quality of the deed are challenged. This study underscores the need for a systematic interpretation of Article 1870 of the Indonesian Civil Code so that “perfect evidence” is not understood as an absolute force, but as an instrument of legal certainty that still allows corrective mechanisms in the interest of justice.
