Parapolitika : Journal of Politics and Democracy Studies is the official journal published by the Department of Political Science, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Pembagunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta. This journal aims to publish any kinds of popular scientific papers or research discussing either political phenomena or social political thought. Publishing articles in this journal is the part of contributing to the development of political science. Parapolitika : Journal of Politics and Democracy Studies is published twice a year: in February and August. The Editorial Board of Parapolitika : Journal of Politics and Democracy Studies invites experts, scholars, practitioners, students, and intellectuals to submit their writings. Editors will select every manuscript submitted to Parapolitika : Journal of Politics and Democracy Studies using the blind reviewer mechanism from peer reviewers asked by editors. Reviewers of this journal come from national and international universities and academic institutions.

Abstract

This study examines the role of the mass base in Fahira Idris' victory in the 2024 election. The rationale for this research stems from Fahira Idris's consistent victories in the three election periods she participated in. The theory used is the patron-client theory. The results show that the four indicators analyzed through the electoral and non-electoral participation approaches are proven to be interconnected and form a strong foundation for Fahira's relationship with Bang Japar. The imbalance of power is evident in Fahira's position as a provider of resources and political access. Personal ties are built through informal communication and symbolic attention that foster emotional loyalty. Dependence is evident in access to Fahira's programs and political support that Bang Japar utilizes. The reciprocal relationship is adaptive and pragmatic, but remains based on social loyalty norms that strengthen the stability of the relationship

Abstract

Program kemitraan plasma kelapa sawit merupakan salah satu model pembangunan ekonomi perdesaan berbasis agribisnis yang melibatkan kerja sama antara perusahaan inti dan petani. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi kemitraan plasma di Desa Air Dua, Kabupaten Sukamara, Kalimantan Tengah, serta melihat kontribusinya terhadap kesejahteraan masyarakat desa. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik studi kasus, melalui wawancara terhadap kepala desa, pengurus KUD, perusahaan inti, dan petani plasma. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh proses pengelolaan mulai dari pembukaan lahan, pemeliharaan kebun, pemanenan, pembiayaan, hingga pencatatan hasil dan utang sepenuhnya dijalankan oleh perusahaan inti. Namun, perusahaan menunjukkan keterbukaan melalui rapat evaluasi bulanan yang melibatkan KUD sebagai representasi petani. Meskipun hubungan kemitraan ini menunjukkan pola yang relatif stabil dan transparan, posisi tawar petani masih lemah. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penguatan kapasitas kelembagaan KUD dan literasi ekonomi petani agar kemitraan dapat berjalan lebih adil dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of digitalized population administration services through the ‘Lontong Balap’ applications implemented by the Surabaya City Population and Civil Registration Office (Dispendukcapil). The research uses a descriptive qualitative method with an approach based on public service theory, service effectiveness theory, and government digital transformation theory. The findings show that both applications have positively impacted the efficiency and accessibility of population administration services in Surabaya. This aligns with the principles of digitalizing public services, emphasizing convenience, speed, and transparency. However, the study also identifies challenges, such as difficulties faced by the elderly in accessing digital services. Infrastructure factors also present significant barriers, particularly regarding internet network availability and skilled human resources to operate the digital system. Therefore, enhancing staff training and strengthening digital infrastructure at the sub-district level are necessary to ensure smooth application operations.
