Perguruan tinggi seharusnya terpanggil untuk menjawab tantangan-tantangan di atas melalui pelaksanaan darma ketiga pengabdian pada masyarakat, dan panggilan tersebut sejauh ini sudah banyak dilakukan namun program-program yang betul-betul pokus pada sasaran masih perlu diperbaiki, terutama mengeksplor potensi ekonomi kreatif yan gsejak lama ada dan sedang tumbuh di masyarakat. Berdasar pada latarbelakang itulah seminar nasional dengan Tema “Peran Penelitian dalam Menunjang Percepatan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan di Indonesia” penting untuk dilakukan. Seminar ini diharapkan akan member motivasi dan inspirasi, terutama kepada pengabdi untuk melahirkan berbagai karya, produk dan konsep aplikatif, terutama terkait dengan produk berbasis akselerasi percepatan pembangunan nasional.

Abstract

This is research and development that aims to find out the stages of developing the learning tools of the Walking Gallery method and to understand how this learning model can improve student competency validly, effectively, and practically. Research and development procedure was conducted using the 4 D model of the Thiagarajan model, Semmel and Semmel using four stages: the defining stage, the design stage, the development stage and the disseminate stage. The research subjects were Bachelor's degree students of the Department of Family Welfare Education who took part in Family Sociology lectures in the odd semester of the Academic Year 2017/2018. The research trial subjects were 25 students. This research data was processed and analyzed descriptively including data on the results of validation/review, learning management, student activities, data analysis on the results of mastery tests on family sociology concepts, implementation of lesson plans and questionnaire responses of students and lecturers on learning tools. Data processing and analysis were done with descriptive analysis. The results showed that the application of the Walking Gallery (WK) learning model was effective in increasing student competency. This can be seen from two aspects, namely the learning implementation which was observed by three observers and the results of the student creativity questionnaire assessment. The results showed that the implementation of the learning process using the Walking Gallery from the user (lecturer) side indicated that 90.91% was carried out very well while from the student side revealed that 86.11% implemented well. Moreover, based on the results of the student creativity questionnaire, it was found that the students were pleased with the effectiveness of the Walking Gallery method. It can be concluded that the student competencies categorized as good is 88.53% (high). Furthermore, it was found valid, effective, and practical learning tool products that can improve student competencies. Moreover, the learning tool was well appreciated by the lecturers of Family Sociology Courses. Learning tool products are lesson plans (RPP-WK), and textbooks for students majoring in Family Welfare Education.

Abstract

Teacher candidate accordance with the development of learning techniques are always socialized in various occasions , it appears that future teachers in teaching and learning activities on the wane . This is because students are used as a central activity in the learning process. This study reveals Geography Teachers teaching experience,obstacle, and contribution to the professional competence . Teacher as facilitator demanded a lot of experience in the learning process in the same scientific field , and stability in the scientific field will be visible if the science that they do the same with the knowledge that has been gained during a student teacher candidates . As a result the ability of teachers is more stable and seems more mature teacher competence is determined by his experience is determined by other factors , so it deserves given systematic enrichment and training that will increase their competence and make teachers professional degree. Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of the research is to find out: pedagogic competence, professional competence, personal competence, and social competence of public junior high school teachers in Polman Regency, West Sulawesi. This research is classified as a survey. The research location is Polman Regency, West Sulawesi Province. The determination of the sample schools was carried out by purposive random sampling method. Respondents of the research were certified junior high school teachers. The variables to be considered were: (1) pedagogic competence, (2) professional competence, (3) personal competence, (4) social competence of public junior high school teachers in Polman Regency, West Sulawesi. The analysis used is descriptive analysis. The results showed that: (1) the pedagogical competence of junior high school teachers in Polman Regency, West Sulawesi in the seven aspects studied was classified as high, (2) the professional competence of junior high school teachers in Polman Regency, West Sulawesi in five aspects was classified as high, (3) the personal competence of junior high school teachers in Polman Regency, West Sulawesi in the seven aspects studied are classified as very high, (4) the social competence of junior high school teachers in Polman Regency, West Sulawesi in the four aspects studied is classified as high. Keywords: Junior High School Teachers, Competence, Pedagogical, Professional, and Social.

Abstract

Abstract. This study focuses on the lecturers’ readiness in the English departments to apply online learning. The research objectives are to explore (1) the level of lecturers’ readiness of in the English departments to apply online learning based on their knowledge and skills; and (2) the lecturers’ needs in relation to their readiness in implementing online learning. This research uses descriptive quantitative method. The number of respondents who filled out the questionnaire was 121 consisting of 58 lecturers from state universities and 63 from private universities. They are spread over 48 public and private universities in Indonesia. The instrument used is a questionnaire with a Likert scale. The data collected through questionnaires were analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques. The results of this study indicate that (1) the level of lecturers’ readiness is in the high category based on their level of knowledge and ICT skills; and (2) there are 3 main aspects needed, namely the need for ICT facilities, institutional support, and ICT training in learning.Keywords: readiness, online learning, ICT skills

Abstract

Abstract. This research aimed at finding out the effect of hand and leg strength and body flexibility toward lower pass ability in volley ball games. The population of research carried out at student of Faculty Sport science Maccasar Nation University.  Sample are 30 person taken follow random sampling. Indepenent variable were hand and leg strength, Attribute variable was body flexibility, and Dependent variable of this research waslower pass ability at volley ball games.The research method is a descriptif. The data research was analysed with path analyses at significant level 95 %.The result of this research pointed that: 1) Hand strength was given direct effect that significance toward body flexibility at student of Faculty Sport science Maccasar Nation University ( ß = 0.399 with significant level 0.001 < α 0.05).  2) Leg strength was given direct effect that significance toward body flexibility at student of Faculty Sport science Maccasar Nation University. ( ß= 0.597 with significant level 0.011 < α 0.05). 3) Hand strength was given direct effect that significance toward lower pass ability in volley ball games at student of  Faculty Sport science Maccasar Nation University  ( ß = 0.279 with significant level 0.034< α 0.05). 4) Leg strength was given direct effect that significance toward lower pass ability in volley ball games at student of Faculty Sport science Maccasar Nation University ( ß = 0.301 with significant level 0.049< α 0.05). 5) Body flexibility was given direct effect that significance toward lower pass ability in volley ball games at student of Faculty Sport science Maccasar Nation University ( ß = 0.418 with significant level 0.030< α 0.05). 6) Hand strength was not given effect that significance toward lower pass ability in volley ball games through body flexibility at student of Faculty Sport science Maccasar Nation University ( ß = 0.167 <0.279).  7) Leg strength was not given effect that significance toward lower pass ability in volley ball games through body flexibility at student of Faculty Sport science Maccasar Nation University  ( ß = 0.250 <0.301)Keywords: The Effect, Hand and Leg Strength, Body Flexibility, Lower pass, Volleyball

Abstract

Character building on campus can be done through well-organized and sustainable da'wah activities. The Campus Da'wah Institution (LDK) needs to play an active role as a moral movement that calls for a humanitarian civilization based on universal values of the divine revelation. This study aims to determine the role of SC Arriyadhoh da'wah institutions in building the character of UNM FIK students. This type of research is qualitative with a descriptive approach, the sample technique used is purposive sampling, the sample in this study is SC Arriyadhoh administrators, data collection techniques carried out through observation, interviews and documentation with data analysis techniques are descriptive qualitative data analysis techniques. The results of the study show that SC Arriyadhoh as a missionary organization FIK UNM plays an active role in building the character of FIK UNM students through various da'wah activities. The pattern of guidance carried out by SC Arriyadhoh FIK UNM in the development of the character of the UNM FIK students includes; the pattern of recitation in the form of khalaqah, making syiar events, such as ta'lim, tabligh, outbound, studies, sports together. SC Arriyadhoh in making efforts to build the character of FIK UNM students gets support from the campus bureaucracy both morally and materially. However, there are not a few challenges faced, including the lack of enthusiasm of students to be involved in the management of campus da'wah institutions and other constraints on funding limitations in carrying out work programs.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the effectiveness of hypnolearning in learning English grammar and the students’ motivation during learning grammar. This study is an experimental research involving one class of Business English students by using dependent (paired) sample t-test.  The instrument used to collect data were tests of grammar and questionnaires for motivation data. Based on the research results, it was found that there was a significant differences between the mean of the students’ grammar knowledge before and after treatment that’s p-value 0,00 was smaller than significant level 0,05 (5%). This means that the hypnolearning was effective for the students for learning English grammar.  Besides, the students’ motivation in learning grammar during hypnolearning implementation was commonly strong. It may be caused by some factors namely lecturer’s personality, short story usage, visualization and refreshment.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses dan hasil peningkatan keterampilan menulis mahasiswa melalui strategi pembelajaran Think Talk Write. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan 3 siklus yang dilakukan pada mahasiswa program studi Bahasa Jerman Universitas Negeri Makassar pada bulan Januari sampai Mei 2017. Data-data dikumpulkan melalui pengamatan, tes, wawancara, angket dan catatan harian. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis secara statistik deskriptif. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa penerapan strategi Think Talk Write dapat meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menulis bahasa Jerman. Data tersebut ditunjukkan oleh nilai rata-rata pre-tes yang diperoleh mahasiswa adalah 54,6 hasil tes pada siklus 1 meningkat menjadi 64,50, kemudian pada siklus kedua rata-rata hasil keterampilan menulis yang dicapai mahasiswa meningkat menjadi 76.5, dan hasil tes pada siklus ketiga meningkat menjadi 88.50. Hal ini berarti bahwa strategi pembelajaran Think Talk Write sangat efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam menulis bahasa Jerman, Kata kunci: Keterampilan menulis bahasa Jerman, strategi pembelajaran Think Talk Write

Abstract

Abstrak. Physical education program in colleges must prepare students to be future physical education teachers who have knowledge of relevant technology integration, pedagogical skills, and discipline-specific knowledge in order to enhance students learning. The purpose of this study was to identify the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) competence of undergraduate physical education students. The research design used in this study is a survey. The research participants are 120 undergraduate students studying physical education in Makassar city. The participants were selected by purposive sampling technique. The data of students’ TPACK were collected by using TPACK questionnaire. The study results showed that students’ TPACK competence were high. The results of the study also revealed that there was no significant difference between male and female students even though the scores of female students were higher than the scores of male students. In addition, there was no significant difference between the scores of public and private university students. Kata Kunci: Technology; Physical Education; Undergraduate Student.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini menelaah tentang pengaruh model pembelajaran Resource Based Learning (RBL) terhadap hasil belajar siswa tentang siklus air dan dampaknya pada peristiwa di bumi serta kelangsungan makhluk hidup di kelas V. Rumusan Masalah yang dikaji yaitu                                                                           apakah terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Resource Based Learning (RBL) terhadap hasil belajar siswa tentang siklus air dan dampaknya pada peristiwa di bumi serta kelansungan makhluk hidup kelas V. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Resource Based Learning (RBL) dalam meningkatkan hasil  belajar siswa tentang siklus air  dan dampaknya pada peristiwa di bumi serta kelangsungan makhluk hidup kelas V. Pendekatan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Pre-Eksperimental dengan rancangan penelitian One Group Pretest Posttest Design. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Purposive Sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 33 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu dalam bentuk tes dan dokumentasi. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa sebelum dan sesudah diajarkan  menggunakan Model Resource Based Learning (RBL) meningkat atau terdapat pengaruh antara Model Resource Based Learning (RBL) dengan hasil belajar siswa dimana rata-rata nilai Pretest  yaitu 44,97 dan nilai Posttest menjadi 76,24 dengan demikian hasil belajar siswa meningkat sebesar 31,27.  Kata Kunci : Resource Based Learning (RBL), Hasil Belajar
