Abstract

Mathematics learning needs to be designed so that it can accommodate various student characteristics (Rini, 2020). This is because until now there is no certainty about the meaning of mathematics because each expert has different knowledge and opinions. There are also those who state that mathematics is the science of numbers and space, symbolic language, numerical language, abstract and deductive science, logical thinking methods, science that studies the relationships between patterns, shapes and structures. Type of research used. In this research, quantitative methods were used. According to Sugiyono (2019) quantitative methods are research in the form of calculations and statistical analysis. This method aims to research a certain population, use research instruments in collecting data, analyzing data, with the aim of testing the hypothesis that has been determined. The first prerequisite test carried out is the normality test. This test was carried out to find out whether the research data was normally distributed. Normality test using the Shapiro Wilk formula with the help of the IBM SPSS Statistics application. The conclusion of the influence of interest in learning on the mathematical reasoning abilities of class VIII A students at SMP Bopkri 5 Yogyakarta, the author would like to convey suggestions to parties related to this research with the hope that it will be useful in the future. The results of the research analysis show that there is a significant influence between interest in learning on the mathematical reasoning abilities of class VIII A students at SMP Bopkri 5 Yogyakarta, amounting to 47.7%.

Abstract

This research aims to identify and analyze the roles of school principals' leadership, teachers' professionalism, and educational quality within the formal education system in Indonesia. The background of this study is rooted in the necessity of revolutionary leadership in educational institutions to foster moral conduct and legal compliance, with school principals as pivotal figures. The research method employed is literature review, gathering data from books, encyclopedias, documents, and scholarly journals. Findings indicate that school principals play a crucial role in motivating school members and optimizing resources to achieve educational goals. Teachers, as professional educators, bear significant responsibilities in the learning process, characterized by diligence, precision, and high integrity. Educational quality is measured through input, process, and output, influenced by both internal and external factors. The implications underscore the critical synergy between school leadership and teachers' professionalism in enhancing educational standards in Indonesia.

Abstract

In today's society, the modern way of life is often associated with a significant level of stress. Education field is no exception. The occupational stress encountered by EFL teachers can be defined as the adverse emotions they experience as a result of different elements of their job. The stress experienced by individuals is often a response to perceived threats stemming from the pressures and expectations placed upon them.  Consequently, the objective of the present investigation was to examine the stressors encountered by EFL instructors and the techniques they employ to manage it. The study involved 115 EFL teachers.   Data was gathered through the utilization of two questionnaires, specifically the Teachers' Stressors Questionnaires and the teachers' coping strategy questionnaire, as well as a semi-structured interview.  In addition, descriptive statistics were used to analyze the data. The findings show that the majority of teachers have experienced stress and that all of the suggested factors are significantly associated with the issue.   The primary finding indicates that stress negatively affects the professional performance of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) educators.   Overall, these results hold important implications for the progression of future academic studies and pedagogical methodologies.

Abstract

Wordwall is an interactive learning tool that looks good and is visually appealing. Wordwall is easily accessible online through a game format. Students can use Wordwall as an interesting assessment tool, learning resource, or learning aid. Thus, wordwall technology media can arouse students' curiosity about what they are learning. The purpose of this study was to determine how wordwall technology media can increase students' learning motivation. A qualitative approach was used in this research approach. Data collection techniques include observation, documentation, and interviews. Based on the research findings, the use of wordwall technology to create a more imaginative learning environment for students and teachers helps them become more involved in learning so that learning objectives are easily achieved.

Abstract

Cognitive assessment is one of the most important components in a teaching and learning process. Cognitive assessment has a function, namely to see how much children understand and have skills in the material that has been given using the problem-based learning model. to make students more active in finding and solving problems. This research aims to analyze the cognitive assessment of the based learning learning model on moral aqidah material at SDI Musra. This research uses descriptive research methods. Data was collected through interviews, observation and documentation. And the research results show that the cognitive assessment of the learning model based on moral belief material at SDI Musra is quite good. However, it still needs to be improved because with improvements it will become more effective in measuring students' understanding and skills. To be able to improve the quality of the cognitive assessment model of problem-based learning on moral belief material, this can be done by analyzing the assessment data in more depth to determine students' understanding and skills more comprehensively. This cognitive assessment has a positive influence on achieving a cognitive development target, apart from that for teachers, students, or parents, which will become a reference for the growth of students whose further education will prepare them for a higher level.

Abstract

The moral degradation that is currently occurring in the world of education needs special attention, because it is not only violence in verbal form but also in non-verbal form. The thin morals and manners possessed by students make it a difficult problem to overcome in the world of education. For this reason, the purpose of this study is to find out how learning aqidah and akhlak can shape morals and as an effort to overcome the existing moral degradation. The method in this study uses qualitative with a descriptive approach, while the data collection technique used interviews and observations. The results of the research that has been carried out, there is a gradual improvement in morals after learning and also implementing aqidah and akhlak in everyday life, especially at school.

Abstract

This research was motivated by low student learning outcomes. Not only that, students have not been able to analyze and understand problems because interaction is still low and students are not actively involved in learning which results in the concept delivery process not being conveyed optimally. This is due to the application of learning models that are less effective in improving learning outcomes. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the problem-based learning model on student learning outcomes in style material in class IV of SD Negeri Manunggal, Jombang Regency. This type of research is quantitative research with an experimental method. The design used is Pre Experimental with One Group Pre Test – Post Test Design. The population and sample used in this research were all fourth grade students at SD Negeri Manunggal with a total of 24 students. The sampling technique uses saturated samples. Data collection techniques use observation and critical thinking ability tests. The results of the paired sample t test obtained a sig value. Of 0,000. Based on the test criteria if the sig value. (2 – tailed ) < 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05) then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. And if Tcount is greater than Ttable then H0 is rejected and Ha is rejected. The tcount obtained was 9.105 > 2.069, so H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted, so it can be concluded that in this research there is an influence of the problem-based learning model on student outcomes.

Abstract

The development of social media has transformed the landscape of communication and Public Relations (PR) practices. In this digital era, PR practitioners are required to understand and utilize social media effectively in efforts to build strong relationships with the public. This study aims to investigate the role of social media in PR practices, focusing on identifying current trends, changes, and challenges faced by PR practitioners in adopting social media. The method of literature review is used to gather and analyze information from various sources. The research findings show that social media has become an integral component in PR strategies, enabling practitioners to interact directly with the public, respond to issues in real-time, and measure their communication impact more accurately. Recent trends highlight the importance of visual content, collaboration with influencers, and attention to sustainability and social responsibility issues. In conclusion, the transformation of social media has had a significant impact on PR practices, expanding reach, increasing engagement, and allowing for more accurate performance measurement.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the types and the dominant type of slip of the tongue made by Jokowi at Ecosperity Week 2023. The method applied was descriptive qualitative. The subjects of this research is Jokowi’s speech. The data were taken from video of Jokowi’s speech at Ecosperity Week 2023, obtained from YouTube. The collected data were transcribed and analyzed based on the types of slip of the tongue proposed by Altiparmark and Koruoglu (2014). The result of the research were 15 slips of the tongue found in the utterances by Jokowi: 7 deletions, 5 additions, 1 subtitutions, I anticipations, and 1 misdevations. Therefore, Jokowi produce 5 types slip of the tongue and deletions was the dominant types occured.

Abstract

The research that has been carried out is entitled "The Effectiveness of Madrasah Head Supervision in Improving the Discipline of Educators and Education Personnel at MAS PAB 1 Sampali" which is motivated by the importance of discipline in educational institutions, especially at MAS PAB 1 Sampali, to achieve optimal learning goals. Qualitative descriptive research methods were used to conduct this research, providing a more thorough explanation of the research topic. Three data collection methods were used: documentation, interviews, and observation. The results of the research reveal that the effectiveness of Madrasah Head Supervision in Improving the Discipline of Educators and Education Personnel at MAS PAB 1 Sampali has been implemented well by the madrasa head, educators and education personnel. Supervision of the madrasa head at MAS PAB 1 Sampali, which involved careful planning, collaborative implementation, and thorough evaluation, succeeded in increasing awareness and commitment to the discipline. The systematic and consistent role of the madrasa head creates a better and higher quality educational environment, even though there are still obstacles faced. Based on the research findings above, supervision of madrasa heads must be feasible and implemented as a solution to create quality educators and more disciplined education staff to create a quality educational environment.
