Abstract

This service aims to improve children's reading, writing, arithmetic and foreign language skills in the village of Telo Baru Island through providing tutoring. Apart from that, this research tries to compare students' interest in learning at school with tutoring at KKN posts, as well as identifying students' motivation to study outside of school. SWOT analysis is used as a research method with a focus on strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. The research results show that student strengths can be an indicator of understanding material at school. Student weaknesses related to lack of understanding of basic material need to be addressed. Opportunities arise in understanding the causes of student failure and learning difficulties. Corrective action involves efforts to increase interest in learning through a comfortable atmosphere at school and family support. In conclusion, this service focuses on understanding and overcoming barriers to student learning, as well as taking advantage of opportunities to improve the quality of education in the village of Telo Baru Island.

Abstract

Optimal soil fertility is the main key in achieving sustainable agricultural productivity. This abstract describes various efforts and strategies that can be adopted to improve soil fertility and, as a result, increase agricultural productivity. Increasing soil fertility not only increases agricultural yields, but can also contribute to global food security, reduce degraded land, and support environmental sustainability. This abstract aims to provide insight into various strategies that can be adopted to increase soil fertility and agricultural productivity. With a deep understanding of soil dynamics and a science-based approach, stakeholders can develop agricultural policies and practices that support sustainable agricultural growth.

Abstract

Education plays a crucial role in shaping the character and quality of a nation's human resources. This community service program addresses the challenges of numeracy literacy at SDN Kedungdoro V Surabaya and involves the implementation of the Edugame program as an effort to enhance students' interest and understanding of numeracy literacy. The program evaluation reveals several significant findings, indicating the need to improve students' understanding of numeracy literacy. Nevertheless, the program successfully increased student participation, strengthened collaboration within groups, and created an enjoyable learning atmosphere. The in-depth evaluation involves analyzing student involvement, numeracy literacy understanding, and the achievement of learning goals. Challenges in organizing students, the lack of parental attention, and students' difficulties in understanding numeracy literacy concepts are identified as obstacles in the community service process. The conclusion emphasizes that collaboration between educational institutions, students, and parents is key to strengthening numeracy literacy, with a commitment to continuously improve the program for optimal results.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to utilize natural ingredients such as shallots, bamboo shoots, and coconut water as an alternative phytohormone in the growth of melon plants cultivated by partners. The target of the implementation of community service activities is the Madulegi Farmer Group in North Ngadilegi Hamlet. The method used in this activity is in the form of FGD (Focus Group Discussion) which is carried out directly or face-to-face and demonstrates the making of natural growth regulatory substances from shallots, bamboo shoots, and coconut water. The farmers' response was very enthusiastic about the introduction of this natural growth regulator for melon cultivation. Farmers in Ngadilegi Hamlet can understand well about the materials and equipment needed, as well as the process of making and utilizing these natural growth regulatory substances. Through this activity, it is hoped that it can provide an alternative for farmers to utilize natural ggrowth regulatory substances with materials that are easily obtained around and are relatively cheap and safe, so as to increase melon productivity

Abstract

Internships are pivotal in bridging theoretical knowledge and practical application for students. Engaging in internships allows students to apply their acquired classroom knowledge to real-world scenarios. Ensuring the success of these internships necessitates intensive guidance. The internship mentoring process comprises three stages: preparation, monitoring, and evaluation—the outcomes of this mentoring exhibit the successful implementation of student internships at TK Embun Pagi Tampo. Students gained valuable experiences in teaching strategies, classroom management, and supporting early childhood education. Moreover, the internship program honed students' practical skills pertinent to the learning processes in early childhood education

Abstract

In the context of empowering the nation's young generation, the Youth Organization of Rumpun Saka and students of the University of Muhammadiyah Jakarta in community service activities carried out the 77th Indonesian independence ceremony on Mount Eusing as a manifestation of a sense of nationalism towards the nation and state. This was the first time that Leuwibatu Village held a ceremony on Mount Eusing. The difficult terrain to reach the ceremony venue is a challenge in itself, so with the collaboration between youth organizations and students, the climb can be skipped so that the independence ceremony can be held. This is an innovation as well as a solution to be able to implement activities that are considered sacred, so the existence of collaboration between these elements is very necessary. The method of implementing the activities starts from the stages of planning and preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The purpose of this activity to empower the nation's young generation is to become a culture and a pioneer that can build the spirit of nationalism and the fighting spirit of young groups, especially the young people of Leuwibatu Village. Through the potential of its resources, it can optimize the results and objectives of village development in shaping the character education of the younger generation

Abstract

Organic farming is increasingly in the spotlight for modern agricultural system actors because it can create agricultural sustainability and does not hurt the environment. The main challenge faced by organic farmers is managing crop weeds effectively without using synthetic chemical herbicides. This was applied to one of the hamlets, namely Ngadilegi Hamlet, Pandaan Regency, to develop an organic herbicide based on coconut water. The extraction method using coconut water as a solvent was chosen to maximize the biological and bioactive properties of the plant. This extract was then tested against several common plant weeds found in the area. Test parameters involve herbicide effectiveness against weeds, safety for cultivated plants, and environmental impact. The research results show that this coconut water-based organic herbicide has good effectiveness in controlling the growth of plant weeds. Apart from that, this formulation also shows a high level of safety for the main crop and minimal negative impacts on the surrounding environment. This significantly contributes to the development of environmentally friendly alternatives in the management of crop weeds in organic farming

Abstract

In the current era of globalization, it is certainly very easy for us to search for information or communicate with one another using gadgets. Since the existence of gadgets, it is easier for us to interact even at long distances, both with relatives and friends. Almost all groups have it, both children and adults. However, the existence of gadgets nowadays has a bad impact, especially for children. The negative impact of using gadgets is that children tend to be individualistic, have difficulty socializing and if they are addicted, they will be very difficult to control, which in the end will make it difficult for the child's brain to develop because they play games too often. Therefore, the role of parents is very important in providing guidance in using gadgets to children. This research aims to understand and determine the impact of gadget use on children; understand the factors that support and hinder parents in dealing with children's behavior in using gadgets; and Knowing and understanding the role of parents towards children in using gadgets. The data analysis method used is a descriptive qualitative research method, namely conducting field research.

Abstract

The existence of Medium, Small and Micro Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia has a big role in building the people's economy. So that micro entrepreneurs need to keep up with the times in developing their business. For this reason, knowledge of business actors is needed in forming the characteristics of the business they have, not only from product innovation but the physical condition and quality of a product needs to be developed so that buyers have a good visual of the product to be sold. Kerupuk Kedelai dan Bawang “Spesial” is one of the UMKM that needs to build product branding in order to compete in a wider market share. The activity process takes place using interview and observation methods at the location where it was made directly. Based on the observation results, it was found that these MSMEs need to remake the logo and product packaging to make it more attractive. The process of making logos and product packaging is assisted directly by the community service team by consulting directly with business owners. The creation of a logo and product packaging is the first step of Kerupuk Kedelai dan Bawang “Spesial” in building business branding to compete in the market.

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are an alternative that can restore and improve the national economy. In Wongsorejo, most of the women and mothers of BTPN Syariah customers are underprivileged business people who are struggling to obtain prosperity for their families. Realizing this, PT Bank BTPN Syariah is holding a MSME mentoring program by empowering women and mothers of its customers in all rural areas of Indonesia to be empowered to help improve the welfare of their families through the Bestee Program. The main aim of this mentoring activity is to convey good intentions to help others improve the prosperity of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Mentoring activities through the BTPN Syariah Bestee program are carried out in several stages, namely location survey, introduction and assessment, discovery of obstacles, delivery of material, practice, as well as evaluation as the closing activity for one session. The results obtained from mentoring activities have a positive impact on all parties involved, especially BTPN Syariah mentoring customers who take part in the Bestee program.
