Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based digital transformation has transformed organizational practices, particularly in decision-making and operational efficiency. However, the adoption of AI has also given rise to a phenomenon known as AI anxiety, referring to employees’ concerns about the potential replacement of human roles by automation technologies. This study aims to analyze the relationship between AI implementation, employee technology-related anxiety, and the role of the human-centric AI approach in addressing these dynamics. The method employed is a systematic literature review of relevant scholarly articles published within the last five years, focusing on digital leadership, technostress, and human–AI collaboration. The findings indicate that the success of AI implementation is determined not only by technological capabilities but also by leadership strategies that prioritize human values. The human-centric AI approach can reduce employee anxiety by enhancing transparency, strengthening digital competencies, and creating adaptive work environments. This study contributes to the development of management literature by emphasizing the integration of AI technologies with human values in modern leadership practices.

Abstract

This empirical study is driven by the identified issue of suboptimal teaching motivation among educators at SMP Islam Manba'ul Ulum Jamanis, as evidenced by a preliminary survey score of 1.9. This unfavorable condition is presumably tied to less-than-ideal non-monetary appreciation and insufficient teacher welfare within the institution. This research is designed to explore and analyze both the isolated and simultaneous impacts of Non-Financial Compensation and Teacher Welfare on Teacher Teaching Motivation. Employing a quantitative design, this study adopts descriptive and verificative approaches. The research encompasses the entire teaching staff, totaling 30 educators, utilizing a saturated sampling (census) technique to achieve comprehensive data representation. Data processing was conducted via multiple linear regression analysis facilitated by SPSS 26 software. The empirical findings reveal that, both partially and simultaneously, Non-Financial Compensation and Teacher Welfare exert a positive and statistically significant influence on Teacher Teaching Motivation. Collectively, these two independent variables explain 41.4% of the variance in teaching motivation, while the remaining 58.6% is attributable to external determinants outside the scope of this analytical model.

Abstract

The Emergency Department (ED) is a hospital unit characterized by high work pressure, which may lead to physician burnout. This condition not only affects healthcare workers but also has implications for service quality and patient satisfaction. This study aims to analyze the experiences of burnout among ED physicians and its impact on service quality and patient satisfaction from the perspective of the Service Profit Chain. This research employs a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design. The informants consisted of 7 participants, including 4 ED physicians as primary informants and 3 patients or their family members as supporting informants, selected purposively. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. The findings indicate that burnout is characterized by emotional exhaustion, which affects service behavior, particularly in communication, empathy, and responsiveness. Although professionalism is maintained, there is a decline in the quality-of-service interaction, which influences patients’ experiences and satisfaction. This study demonstrates that burnout indirectly affects patient satisfaction through the quality-of-service interaction as the main mechanism. From the Service Profit Chain perspective, the internal condition of healthcare workers is a strategic factor in improving service quality and patient satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the perceptions, experiences, and motivating faktors of consumers in Rambung Dalam Village, Binjai City, when choosing motor vehicle loans. This study employed field research with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques included interviews, observation, and documentation. Data obtained from motor vehicle loan recipients in Binjai City were then analyzed using descriptive qualitative methods. The results indicate that customers tend to have a positive perception of motor vehicle loan practices. Over-crediting is considered more practical, faster, and less expensive than applying for a new vehicle loan. Furthermore, customers' experiences with over-crediting were quite positive because the credit transfer process was carried out with the approval of the leasing company and supported by relatively simple procedures. Economic faktors, ease of process, and time efficiency are the primary reasons why people choose to use over-crediting. Thus, over-crediting is considered a more flexible alternative and helps people meet their motor vehicle needs.

Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of share buyback announcements on abnormal returns at State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2025. Using an event study approach, this quantitative study observed stock price movements for 11 days, 5 days before and 5 days after the announcement, with a 60-day estimation window using 1-hour intraday data from historical Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) data obtained through the TradingView platform and aligned with the official website www.idx.co.id. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling method. Abnormal returns were calculated using a market model and then tested using the Paired Sample t-Test and Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test in SPSS and Excel. The results showed that buyback announcements did not result in significant differences in abnormal returns at Bank Rakyat Indonesia and Bank Mandiri. Conversely, a significant difference was found at Bank Negara Indonesia. Cumulatively, there was a significant difference in average abnormal returns for SOE bank stocks before and after the buyback announcement.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate business implementation at Pesantren Teknologi Riau, identify management constraints, analyze factors affecting business development, and formulate effective, sustainable strategies based on Islamic values. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation involving pesantren leaders, business managers, and students participating in business activities. Data were analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and thematic analysis, supported by triangulation to strengthen the validity of the findings. The findings show that business implementation has run well, particularly through student involvement as a medium for entrepreneurship learning. However, business management remains constrained by unsystematic planning, simple financial recording, limited marketing, weak product innovation, and suboptimal use of digital technology. The main factors influencing business development include human resource quality, business management systems, marketing strategies, and product innovation. Thus, stronger management, digital marketing, human resource training, and integration of Islamic values are needed to support sustainable pesantren business development. These findings contribute to the development of an adaptive, educational, and sharia-based business model for pesantren economic independence in the current digital era.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role as the backbone of economic stability in Medan City. However, most business actors still face growth stagnation due to weak managerial capacity and slow business adaptation in the digital era. This study aims to analyze the empirical effect of transformational leadership on the organizational performance of MSMEs in Medan City. Using a quantitative approach with a causal associative method, data were gathered from 150 respondents across the culinary, trade, services, and creative industry sectors, selected through a purposive sampling technique. Data collection was carried out by distributing Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using simple linear regression assisted by IBM SPSS Statistics. The results indicated that all instruments were valid, reliable, and met the requirements of classical assumption tests. Partial hypothesis testing (t-test) proved that transformational leadership has a positive and significant effect on MSME organizational performance, with a t_statistic value of 8.412 (p = 0,000< 0.05). The coefficient of determination (R2) analysis showed that transformational leadership contributes 32.4% to the variation in organizational performance. These findings confirm that a visionary, inspirational, and adaptive leadership approach serves as a crucial internal foundation to drive innovation and business sustainability for urban economies amid intensifying digital competition.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the mediating role of citizen satisfaction in the relationship between service quality and institutional trust toward service usage intentions at the Public Service Mall (MPP) of Boyolali Regency. It addresses a notable research gap by positioning trust as a critical psychological antecedent to satisfaction, a dimension frequently overlooked in extant literature that heavily emphasizes technical performance metrics. Employing a quantitative research design, data were gathered from 200 respondents who actively utilized the integrated services. Hypotheses were tested using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to evaluate the structural paths. The empirical results demonstrate that both service quality and trust exert a positive and significant influence on citizen satisfaction. Furthermore, citizen satisfaction functions as a robust mediator that significantly drives the behavioral intention to reuse government services in an integrated environment. Practically, these findings suggest that regional governments must transition from mere administrative efficiency toward relationship-based governance to sustain long-term public service innovations.

Abstract

Financial management plays a crucial role in the sustainability and development of a company. In increasingly competitive business environments, companies are required to have the right financial management strategies to increase their competitiveness. This article aims to analyze the role of financial management as the core or "heart" of a company in supporting competitive advantage. The method used is a literature review from various scientific sources. The results of the discussion indicate that effective financial management can improve operational efficiency, optimize resource utilization, and support appropriate strategic decision-making. Thus, financial management contributes significantly to increasing a company's competitiveness in the market.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and obtain empirical evidence regarding the influence of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) as proxied by managerial ownership, leverage as measured by the Debt to Asset Ratio (DAR), and company growth on company value as proxied by Price to Book Value (PBV), and to examine the role of profitability as measured by Return on Assets (ROA) as a moderating variable. This study is motivated by the fluctuation of stock prices of primary consumer manufacturing companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period 2021–2023, which reflects the dynamics of company value due to differences in financial performance and governance implementation between issuers. The research method used is a quantitative approach with a purposive sampling technique, resulting in 93 observations from primary consumer sector issuers (consumer non-cyclicals) listed on the IDX. Secondary data were obtained from annual financial reports and analyzed using multiple linear regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The results show that managerial ownership does not have a significant effect on company value, which is caused by the very low average ownership proportion of 8.44%. Leverage has a positive and significant effect on firm value, indicating that proportional debt use can increase investor confidence. Firm growth has a negative and significant effect, reflecting the market's negative response to volatile and unstable growth. The MRA test results show that profitability significantly moderates the effect of leverage on firm value, with a positive effect. However, neither managerial ownership nor firm growth has been shown to moderate the effects of managerial ownership on firm value. The implications of this research are that management should increase the proportion of managerial share ownership, maintain stable growth, and maintain optimal profitability to support sustainable increases in firm value.
