Abstract

Many students face challenges when adapting to a new environment, managing academic pressure, and navigating social changes. This study aims to understand the meaning and experience of self-compassion among migrant students. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, this study explores how students interpret self-compassion when facing adaptation challenges, academic pressure, and changes in the social environment. Data were collected through observation, structured interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. The results show that self-compassion plays a significant role in helping students overcome difficult times, improve their adjustment skills, and build emotional well-being. This study also identifies internal and external factors that influence self-compassion and describes key aspects such as self-kindness, common humanity, and mindfulness. Despite the growing interest in self-compassion, few studies have focused specifically on the experiences of migrant students facing adaptation and academic challenges. These findings are expected to contribute to the development of theoretical and practical understanding of the importance of self-compassion for migrant students, providing insights for educators and counselors to support students’ emotional well-being and adjustment.

Abstract

This study examines the comprehensive communication patterns and forms of support within Brigata Curva Sud (BCS), the supporter group of PSS Sleman, which is known for its strong solidarity, creativity, and collective coordination. Unlike other football supporter organizations in Indonesia that adopt hierarchical leadership structures, BCS operates through a decentralized and participatory model where decisions are made collectively in forums. The research aims to explain and describe the communication patterns within the Brigata Curva Sud PSS Sleman supporter group in supporting PSS Sleman. Using a qualitative descriptive method with observation, interview, and documentation techniques, this study applies the concept of all-channel communication to analyze the interaction among members. The findings reveal that BCS’s communication pattern allows open participation among members, fostering innovation in various support activities such as 90-minute chants, visual choreography, and economic initiatives through Curva Sud Shop (CSS). These practices not only sustain the group’s identity but also strengthen the economic base of the club. The study implies that a non-hierarchical communication structure can enhance collective creativity, unity, and social impact within fan communities, serving as a model for other supporter organizations and community-based movements in Indonesia.

Abstract

Digital platforms for social impact, such as corporate social responsibility initiatives, are increasingly used to engage specific communities, including women in Indonesia. This study examines which beliefs most strongly drive users’ continuance intention toward Sisternet, a corporate social responsibility based digital platform for Indonesian women, using an integrated TAM–TPB model. Quantitative data were collected through an online survey of 162 active users and analysed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling. Additionally, short open-ended questions and app-store reviews were thematically reviewed to enrich interpretation. Accessibility strongly enhances perceived ease of use, usefulness, and relative advantage. Continuance intention is primarily influenced by perceived ease of use, relative advantage, subjective norm, and perceived behavioural control, while perceived usefulness and attitude have no direct effect; perceived risk is minimal. Limitations include cross-sectional, self-reported data from a single platform and non-probability sampling. Managers should prioritise frictionless access, emphasise unique platform value, leverage community influence, and facilitate user engagement. The study extends TAM–TPB to CSR-driven platforms, highlighting accessibility as a key antecedent and suggesting that usefulness and attitude may act indirectly in shaping continuance intention.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology in the modern era has significantly transformed the education sector, including Islamic Religious Education (IRE). The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) emerges as an innovation that supports adaptive, effective, and learner-centred learning while redefining teachers’ roles as agents of educational transformation. This study aims to examine the concepts, applications, opportunities, and challenges of AI integration in IRE learning, with particular attention to teachers’ innovative orientation. The research employs a qualitative approach through library research by reviewing relevant scientific literature. The findings indicate that AI can enhance IRE learning by enabling personalized instruction, providing rapid feedback, and offering interactive learning experiences aligned with the characteristics of the digital generation. Nevertheless, several challenges remain, including limited technological infrastructure, gaps in teachers’ digital literacy, and the potential reduction of human interaction between teachers and students. In conclusion, teacher innovation is a crucial factor in optimizing the use of AI in Islamic education. Teachers are expected to act as facilitators, learning designers, and drivers of innovation who are able to integrate Islamic values with technological advancement to ensure that Islamic education remains relevant and competitive in the digital era.

Abstract

Amid increasing competition in the Indonesian motorcycle market, understanding the factors that influence consumers’ purchasing decisions is crucial for manufacturers. This study investigates the extent to which product quality, brand image, and brand trust shape consumers’ purchasing decisions for automatic motorcycles. Employing a quantitative descriptive design, data were collected from 170 automatic motorcycle users selected through purposive sampling, and hypotheses were tested using multiple linear regression. The findings indicate that product quality does not exert a significant influence on purchase decisions, whereas brand image and brand trust have positive and significant effects. Additionally, product quality, brand image, and brand trust collectively exert a significant simultaneous effect on consumers’ decisions to purchase automatic motorcycles. This study contributes to marketing literature by providing empirical evidence on the relative importance of brand-related factors in influencing consumer behavior and offers practical insights for enhancing marketing strategies.

Abstract

Indonesia’s rich culinary diversity not only represents cultural and historical identity but also constitutes a strategic economic sector that significantly contributes to the national gross domestic product and employment, particularly through micro, small, and medium enterprises. This study aims to analyze the integration of Islamic economic principles in the business development strategy of the culinary MSME restaurant. A qualitative phenomenological approach was employed to explore the lived experiences underlying the implementation of these principles. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with two employees and seven customers, supported by observations and document analysis. The findings indicate that the consistent internalization of Islamic economic principles functions not only as an ethical foundation but also as a strategic resource that enhances business sustainability. The principle of justice is reflected in fair and timely employee compensation and affordable pricing, honesty is manifested through transparency in raw materials and pricing, and halal principle is implemented across the production and supply chain. These practices foster trust, employee engagement, customer loyalty, and strengthen intangible assets such as reputation and value-based branding. The study implies that Islamic economic principles can serve as a viable strategic framework for culinary MSMEs when combined with adaptive management and innovation.

Abstract

Tax avoidance remains a critical issue affecting government revenue and market fairness. This study aims to examine the effects of employee benefit liabilities and firm size on earnings management on LQ45 companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This study analyzes 26 companies selected through purposive sampling and yields 78 firm-year observations over the period 2022–2024. Data are analyzed using panel-based moderated regression analysis after meeting the classical assumption test. The results indicate that employee benefit liabilities have a negative effect on tax avoidance. Earnings management significantly affects accounting-based tax avoidance but does not significantly affect cash-based tax avoidance. Firm size is positively associated with tax compliance and significantly moderates the relationship between employee benefit liabilities and tax avoidance. Large firms with substantial employee benefit liabilities exhibit lower levels of tax avoidance. These findings contribute to a deeper understanding of tax behavior among large and liquid firms in the Indonesian capital market and offer implications for managers, regulators, and policymakers.

Abstract

Inclusive education aims to guarantee equal educational rights for children with special needs in regular schools. In its implementation, assistant teachers are required to have teaching agility, namely the ability to adapt quickly and flexibly to the diverse learning needs of students. Empirical studies that specifically explore how teaching agility is developed and experienced by assistant teachers, particularly from their own lived experiences, remain limited. This study aims to explore the experiences of assistant teachers in developing teaching agility in the context of inclusive education. The study used a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method. The research subjects consisted of two assistant teachers. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, then analyzed through reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that teaching agility develops through understanding student character, teaching experience, school environmental support, curriculum flexibility, and teacher personal motivation, despite still facing limitations in training and facilities. This study contributes by providing in-depth insights into the practical formation of teaching agility, which can inform teacher development programs and inclusive education policy implementation.

Abstract

Coffee shops that operate 24 hours implement shift work systems, particularly night shifts, which often cause physical and psychological fatigue among baristas and limit their ability to use leisure time optimally. This condition may reduce leisure satisfaction and negatively affect workers’ quality of life. This study aims to explore leisure satisfaction among baristas working in 24-hour coffee shops. A qualitative approach with a phenomenological method was employed to understand baristas’ subjective experiences related to leisure time. The participants consisted of two baristas working at a 24-hour coffee shop in Yogyakarta, selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and analyzed using phenomenological stages, including bracketing, open coding, axial coding, and theme development. The findings indicate that baristas tend to experience low leisure satisfaction, influenced by work pressure, limited ability to manage leisure activities, and low social involvement. These conditions lead to work stress, continuous fatigue, and limited fulfillment of leisure satisfaction dimensions, including psychological, relaxation, physical, social, educational, and aesthetic aspects. The study concludes that the 24-hour work system contributes to low leisure satisfaction among baristas, highlighting the need for more flexible work arrangements and psychological well-being support to improve their quality of life and work performance.
