Abstract

This activity aims to educate elementary school students about the prevention of sexual violence through play-based and singing activities tailored to children’s developmental characteristics. The outreach was conducted at MI Tahfudzul Qur’an Al-Azhar, involving 47 fifth- and sixth-grade students. The methods used were educational and participatory, utilizing visual aids, games about appropriate and inappropriate touch, educational songs, and simulations on how to refuse and report if faced with an unsafe situation. This approach was designed so that sensitive material could be conveyed in an enjoyable, easy-to-understand, and age-appropriate manner. The results of the activity showed that the majority of students were able to identify private body parts that must be protected, distinguish between safe and unsafe touch, and understand the actions needed when experiencing inappropriate behavior. Students also demonstrated greater courage to say no, move away, and report incidents to a trusted adult. This activity makes an important contribution as a preventive measure in building children’s awareness and resilience against sexual violence from an early age. Furthermore, a play- and song-based educational model can serve as an effective, child-friendly, and easily implementable alternative strategy for child protection education in elementary school settings.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of a balanced nutrition counseling program as an effort to improve the health of pregnant women and toddlers at Cahaya Insani Kindergarten. The background of this study is the importance of balanced nutrition during pregnancy and early childhood in preventing malnutrition and stunting. This research employed a qualitative descriptive design using field observations, interviews, and documentation methods. A total of 20 participants, consisting of pregnant women and parents of toddlers, took part in the program. The results indicate that face – to - face counseling delivered using simple language, practical examples, and interactive discussions was effective in increasing participants’ knowledge and awareness of balanced nutrition. The program also encouraged positive changes in dietary behavior, although some challenges remained, such as economic limitations and limited access to food resources. The implications of this study suggest that community - based nutrition education integrated with early childhood education can serve as a preventive intervention model to improve maternal and child health. Future research is recommended to involve a larger sample size, longer observation periods, and more comprehensive quantitative evaluations of behavioral changes.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the empowerment process of Gampingrowo Village through the production of mustard green ice cream as a healthy and innovative local food product. The program employed the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach consisting of five stages: discovery, dream, design, define, and reflection. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed qualitatively. The findings indicate that community members improved their skills in processing mustard greens into healthy ice cream with appealing flavors, while also developing awareness of local food innovation. Participants initiated the formation of small business groups to sustain the project. This activity contributes to the development of local food processing knowledge, community empowerment, and creative economy practices based on village potential. The model can serve as a replicable framework for similar communities with abundant local resources.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru PAUD dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran melalui pembuatan buku cerita serta penerapan metode bercerita dalam proses pembelajaran. Permasalahan yang ditemukan menunjukkan bahwa sebagian guru PAUD masih terbatas dalam penggunaan media pembelajaran yang menarik sehingga pembelajaran kurang optimal dalam menstimulasi perkembangan anak. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan kegiatan pendampingan kepada guru melalui pelatihan dan praktik langsung dalam membuat buku cerita sederhana yang sesuai dengan karakteristik anak usia dini. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi tahap sosialisasi, pelatihan, praktik pembuatan buku cerita, serta pendampingan dalam penggunaan metode bercerita di kelas. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa guru mengalami peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan dalam membuat buku cerita sebagai media pembelajaran. Selain itu, guru juga lebih percaya diri dalam menerapkan metode bercerita sehingga proses pembelajaran menjadi lebih menarik dan interaktif bagi anak. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini mampu meningkatkan kreativitas guru dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran serta mendukung terciptanya pembelajaran yang lebih efektif dan menyenangkan bagi anak usia dini.

Abstract

Manimbahoi Village, located in Gowa Regency, possesses significant potential in agriculture, plantations, and nature-based tourism. Its key attractions include Bulu Baria, Lake Tanralili, Lohe Valley, and Lengkese Waterfall. However, these resources have not been optimally utilized due to limited institutional capacity. Major challenges include the absence of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for tourism management and the lack of integration of local products into the tourism ecosystem. To address these issues, community empowerment and institutional strengthening are essential to develop competent human resources. This program aims to improve local capacity in managing tourism effectively and responsibly. The implementation involved three stages: preparation, training, and evaluation. The results show increased community understanding of tourism management and better utilization of local potential. Additionally, the program has enhanced administrative discipline, strengthened community character, and supported improved welfare. It has also equipped residents with essential skills to achieve greater self-reliance in managing tourism activities.

Abstract

This article aims to develop and implement a Sufism-based moral development model to enhance adolescents’ moral resilience at SMK Darul Hidayah; the program employed a participatory action approach through structured mentoring, reflective practices (muhasabah), spiritual habituation (dhikr), group discussions, and continuous evaluation involving students and teachers; the findings indicate a significant improvement in students’ self-awareness, emotional regulation, discipline, and moral decision-making, which are reflected in more responsible, respectful, and ethical behavior in both academic and social environments; and this study contributes an applicable and replicable model of Sufism-based moral education by integrating spiritual values with contemporary character education approaches, offering a practical framework for strengthening adolescent morality in vocational education settings.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to strengthen teachers’ pedagogical competence through innovative instructional design based on the integration of Eduaide AI and Napkin AI. The method used was training and mentoring conducted through three main stages: planning, implementation and mentoring, and evaluation. This activity involved teachers of SMP Negeri Sekon, a school located in the Indonesia–Timor Leste border area. Data were collected using a pedagogical competence questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive quantitative techniques. The results of the activity showed an improvement in teachers’ pedagogical competence, indicated by a 23.33% increase at the classical level as well as improvements at the individual level. These findings indicate that the use of artificial intelligence technology can support teachers in designing instruction, including planning, implementing, and evaluating learning in a more systematic and innovative manner. The contribution of this activity to the development of science and technology is that it can serve as a reference model for AI-integrated training that is adaptive and contextual in supporting the strengthening of pedagogical competence and the transformation of learning in the digital era, particularly in border areas.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development strategy of tourism based on the history of Prince Diponegoro in the buffer zone of Goa Selarong tourism through the implementation of Sustainable Tourism with a Participatory Ergonomics approach. The research method used is the Community Based Research (CBR) approach through observation, interviews, fatigue level measurement, International Labor Organization (ILO) checksheet analysis, and SWOT analysis. The results of the study indicate that Goa Selarong has the potential for historical and cultural tourism supported by the historical value of Prince Diponegoro and the potential of local community businesses, as well as support from the government and universities. However, this tourism still has several weaknesses such as poorly maintained infrastructure, suboptimal human resource management, inadequate access to tourism, and a non-ergonomic layout. The results of the SWOT analysis show that the position of Goa Selarong tourism development is in the W-T quadrant (Weaknesses-Threaths), so the development strategy is focused on minimizing internal weaknesses and external threats by implementing Sustainable Tourism with a Participatory Ergonomics approach. This research has contributed to the development of Sustainable Tourism strategies with a Participatory Ergonomics approach from economic, environmental, social and cultural aspects.
