Abstract

Background. Reflecting Pancasila in research world not necessarily discussing Indonesian citizenship as a civil society, these discourses widened to theological settings, particularly scriptural texts that are often used as sermons in pulpits. Indonesian ideological issues encountering Christianity have flowed and led to the entanglement of structural issues. Purpose. The aim of research was to explore the threads of nationalism in Pancasila, specifically crossing over with Christian values. Method. Based on qualitative research, researchers searched data through previous writings relevant to Pancasila, education, scriptural texts and their history. Results. Results showed that Christianity has brought goodness news not just limited to Christians, but also brought light for the world as reflections of socialist human beings. It must be understood that Indonesian nationalism is nationalism that rejects all forms of discrimination, oppression, injustice, and denial of divine values, as contained in Pancasila. Conclusion. Citizens have four main roles in the nation and state, namely as iron stock, social by control, agent of change, and also moral force. Those four main roles in running the life of the state are certainly not at all contradictory to Christianity. By performing these four roles, Christians show the quality of their Christian faith by becoming good citizens.

Abstract

Background. This community service program is encouraged by the need for partners, which is the absence of specific activities related to the development of science and technology. Therefore, through the introduction of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) in the learning, it is expected that this program can provide a lighter for the Sukosari Bandongan Elementary School teachers. STEM forms quality human resources to reason, think critically, logically, and systematically so that later they can be useful in facing global challenges and solving problems in everyday life. Purpose. This program aims to provide teachers with learning innovations through STEM education. Method. The activity consists of training in making simple products from the surrounding environment which can later be used as learning media. The training is carried out using lecture, discussion, practice, and mentoring methods. Results. The expected output is an increase in basic knowledge, especially in the field of science and technology which is manifested in simple STEM-based products. There are also some other products like training modules, posters, and publications of service results on social media. Conclusion. STEM education is a form of assistance to Sukosari elementary school teachers in improving learning innovation. The teachers need assistance to explore learning materials that can be integrated with STEM. They have very good motivation in practicing simple STEM-based tools. This can be seen from those who actively participate in the training sessions, practice properly, and ask some questions about some matters they do not yet clearly understand. The created simple products can be simple demonstration examples in a STEM-nuanced learning.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the implementation of learning, describe the increase in Santri's mastery of concepts, and describe the Santri's response after applying the Problem Based Learning learning model to the additive sub-material. A pre-experimental design with One Group Pretest- Posttest Design is used in this type of research. The research subjects used were students from a private junior high school in Trenggalek. This research uses several instruments in the form of learning implementation observation sheets, test sheets, and questionnaires which are then analyzed using quantitative descriptive. The research results show that the implementation of learning achieved very good criteria with mode 4. Normality test, paired t-test, N-Gain were used in research data analysis. The standard test results obtained a significant value of 0.122, which means the data is normally distributed. The paired t-test produces a Sig value. amounting to 0.000 < 0.05, which means there is a significant difference after being given treatment in the form of the Problem Based Learning Model. The increase in students' mastery of concepts can also be seen from the N-Gain results with an average score of 0.87 (high). The students gave a positive response to the application of this learning model by obtaining an average score of 93.81% and the criteria were very high. These results show that Santri's mastery of concepts can increase after implementing the Problem Based Learning Model.
