Abstract

The program partner for this community service student creativity program is the youth posyandu in Tambakboyo Hamlet, Mliwis Village, Cepogo, Boyolali. The problem faced by partners is that health screening results are not given after the posyandu activities end so that teenagers do not remember their health history and teenagers do not make efforts to prevent health problems. Apart from that, youth posyandu activities still require a variety of counseling topics as well as effective and innovative delivery methods. The aim of this community service program is to solve the problems faced by partners health monitoring using the Z-Health application. The methods for implementing the PKM program include observation and survey of the needs of youth posyandu, preparation of educational materials, training on how to use the application and peer counseling for cadres, training on using the Z-Health application for teenagers, as well as assisting youth posyandu using the Z-Health application. The results achieved from this community service program are that through the Z-Health application, teenagers can monitor their health status, receive health education and receive counseling. With this, there is an increase in behavior to prevent non-communicable diseases with CERDIK behavior. There is also an increase in understanding regarding non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and an increase in knowledge of peer counseling for posyandu cadres.

Abstract

Mina Sida Karya Fish Cultivation Group (POKDAKAN) operates in Sidamulih Village, Rawalo District, Banyumas Regency, Central Java, employing an extensive, traditional fish farming system that yields low productivity. This group faces four significant challenges that necessitate attention: (1) Insufficient knowledge and skills among partners in intensive gourami fish farming management to enhance POKDAKAN Mina Sida Karya's productivity; (2) Lack of a consistent water supply for cultivation throughout the year; (3) Limited knowledge in producing cost-effective natural and artificial feed; (4) Inadequate expertise in marketing partner products, resulting in a restricted market reach. Addressing these challenges, service activities have been implemented using Participatory Learning and Action (PLA).  These include (1) providing assistance and training in intensive gourami fish farming management to boost cultivation productivity; (2) drilling boreholes up to 75 meters deep to secure a year-round water source; (3) conducting training sessions on independent feed production, both artificial and natural Daphnia sp., enabling partners to generate their own feed; (4) establishing digital branding systems through social media platforms to expand market presence. This aims to increase the productivity of the Mina Sida Karya Fish Farming Group. The activities that have been carried out have significantly impacted the Mina Sida Karya POKDAKAN with a percentage of 57.14% of participants stating that they have sufficient knowledge about intensive osphronemus gouramy fish farming, 61.90% stating that they have no difficulty in obtaining water supply, 52.38% stating that they know how to produce efficient and cost-effective natural feed, and 66.67% stating that they are satisfied with the market reach of fish products.

Abstract

A program that has not been implemented at the Demang Jaya Sehat Post of Occupational Health Effort is village-level meetings as an effort to provide solutions to problems obtained when conducting introspective surveys. Currently, cadres are not able to carry out socialization because they have never received training related to socialization media. This service aims to provide simple health socialization media training to UKK Demang Jaya Sehat Post Cadres as a motor in the farmer health program. This service begins with a pretest, then simple socialization media training consisting of concepts, sources, and practices, and ends with a posttest. All 7 cadres were active and enthusiastic in participating in the training held at the Demangan Village Hall as seen from several questions asked. Cadres carry out the practice of searching for information and data using Google with keyword accuracy indicators, as well as accessing the website promkes.kemkes.go.id to download socialization media in the form of videos, short films, posters, brochures, flyers, and leaflets. Cadres are considered proficient in using gadgets. The posttest results showed an increase in cadre understanding scores of 20.75% compared to before. This shows that training activities are effective in increasing the knowledge of Pos UKK cadres so that they are expected to be able to maintain the sustainability of the village safety farming program. The lowest score is in the aspect of validity and accuracy of information, so farmers still need assistance from the community health center and village government team in preparing and conducting counseling.

Abstract

The practice of open defecation remains prevalent in Ledoksari Hamlet, Tumpang Village, Malang Regency. This behavior persists because open defecation has become a normalized culture or habit among the local community. Therefore, a change effort is needed through the implementation of the Community-Led Total Sanitation Approach by the Community Service Team of Universitas Negeri Malang. This program aims to educate the community about the impacts of open defecation. The method used in this program employs a triggering approach that directly involves the community, with stages including pre-triggering, triggering, and post-triggering activities. The outcomes of this initiative reveal an increase in participants knowledge regarding environmental health. Interactive discussions were also conducted by the service team to allow participants to voice their aspirations, which were then communicated to stakeholders. The service team further recommended the implementation of the "Arisan Jamban" program. This program encourages community members to organize activities that promote clean and healthy living behaviors within their environment. Aligned with the first pillar of the Community-Based Total Sanitation (STBM) initiative, which is to stop open defecation, the "Arisan Jamban" program can be utilized as a viable solution to reduce water source contamination.
