Abstract

The Joint Business Group “Makmur Abadi” is situated around 0.5 km from Tidar University, is focused in duck farming. The processing of animal feed, in this case the pounding of egg shells as the main raw material, is still done manually with a limited capacity using a pestle and mortar. It causes the size of the feed produced is not uniform. The aim of this activity was to improve the capacity and quality of animal feed produced by partners. The ctivities was done in two phases. The first stage was started with data collection and discussions with partners. The second stage was comtinued with coordination to develop the stage of solving the problem through the application of an egg shell flour machine. Measuring the effectiveness of animal feed production was carried out by quantifying the capacity and quality of the animal feed generated and measuring the increase in residents' knowledge pre and post the implementation of the machine. The primary output of this activity was an egg shell flour machine which is made with a capacity of 20 kg/hour, consumes 367.75 watts of power, and is equipped with various filter sizes that can be customized to the need of partners. The use of an egg shell flour machine was able to increase production capacity from only 10 kg/day to 20 kg/hour with a more uniform size that is easily digested by livestock. This activity was also able to increase public awareness up to 90%.

Abstract

The problems that the takmir of the Daliatul Iman mosque feel are (1) that the Friday preachers of Dalilatul Iman are mostly from outside members of the congregation and mosque takmir administrators; (2) many of them are elderly; (3) material concerning the issue of the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad. What was conveyed in the Friday sermon was not in accordance with the rules for taking reference material sources properly. Responding to the three problems raised by the takmir administrators of the Dalilatul Iman mosque, the proposing team offered three structured and systematic solutions. Organizing Friday khatib training for prospective khatib and novice khatib from takmir administrators and mosque congregation members who are recommended by takmir administrators and from surrounding mosque takmir administrators who register and meet the requirements proposed by management of partner mosques upon consideration. This solution is in accordance with the competence of the proposing team, as a trainer the chairman of the Dalilatul Iman mosque takmir agrees to the solution offered by the proposing team, even other mosque administrators will also contribute to this activity. Implementation methods applied are socialization, training, mentoring, evaluation and monitoring. Counseling twice was carried out to 9 heads of Ta'mir mosques in Annual with material on the importance of the role of the preacher in the prosperity of the mosque. Friday sermon improvement training, especially in conveying the source of the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad. The training was given to 20 novice Friday sermon candidates with materials: Friday sermon procedures, Friday sermon practice simulations, Friday sermon preparation practice, and direct practice of Friday sermons at partner mosques. The training was completed and resulted in young Friday preachers who were ready to carry out their duties, and now they are on active duty.

Abstract

The implementation of the Maghrib recitation program in Pangandaran Regency is still not optimal as can be seen from; the program runs only about 42%, the low ability to read the Koran for children, the right method is needed and there is no guideline for implementing the maghrib recitation program in Pangandaran Regency. The purpose of this service is to: Improve the maghrib recitation culture, realize the maghrib recitation program formulation, and fulfilling quality human resources in the religious field. The implementation of community service uses the Service Learning (SL) method with the following procedures: Brainstorming, Focus, Implementation, Evaluation and Reflection. The target of serving 22 Mosque Prosperity Councils (DKM) in Pangandaran Regency is to be carried out from November to December 2022. The results of this community service are as follows; 1) increasing children's motivation to attend the maghrib recitation, 2) implementation of the mutsallasah curriculum as a formulation in optimizing the maghrib recitation program in Pangandaran Regency, namely with the achievement target of the maghrib reciting focus on BTQ, Tahfidz and fahmil qur'an as well as an evaluation system 3) implementation of training for ustadz-ustadzah. So it was concluded that this court activity had an impact on increasing the implementation of the Maghrib recital in Pangandaran district with an ongoing mentoring program so that the Maghrib recital became an Islamic education laboratory for STIT NU Al Farabi Pangandaran.

Abstract

"Qabudayan" is a micro, small, and medium-sized enterprise (MSME) located in Malang City, East Java. The primary focus of this business is online marketing and sales of ready-to-wear clothing with an emphasis on traditional batik fabric motifs. Currently, "Qabudayan" faces challenges such as a lack of attractive product photos, limited to a logo design, and digital mockups. Other constraints include unpreparedness in the sales system, marketing activities, and human resource management, hindering online sales efforts. The goal of this community service activity is to provide assistance to "Qabudayan" in developing social media through the provision of attractive product photos and the creation of quality marketing content on the Instagram platform. This is expected to enhance the effectiveness of online marketing and sales activities. The community service process is carried out in three stages. The first stage involves a situational analysis by conducting interviews with the "Qabudayan" brand to identify the challenges faced. The second stage includes program planning involving activities such as product photo shoots, assistance in creating Instagram social media content, and promotions. The third stage is the implementation of the planned program. The expected output of this community service activity is to assist "Qabudayan" in developing their Instagram social media, enabling them to create professional photo and video content. By showcasing traditional batik fabric motifs and engaging Instagram social media content, it is hoped that not only will "Qabudayan" attract potential consumers, but it will also support efforts to preserve batik culture in society.

Abstract

Students who are victims of violence at school can experience depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and even suicide. One way to avoid further confrontation and serious impacts is that students at SMP Negeri 10 Takari need to receive assertive training. The aim is to increase students' self-awareness of the violence they experience, then they can make practical, solution and effective preventif efforts to avoid, dispel, reject and anticipate bad situations through assertive training. The methods used are 1) Assessment Study, 2) Assertive Training with cognitive restructuring strategies, role playing, self talk, relaxation, modeling and 3) Monitoring & Evaluation. The results, 1) as many as 74% (37 students) had low self-concept, self-esteem and self-confidence. Students' attitudes and responses to violence tend to be aggressive and submissive. There are various forms of violence experienced by students. 2) Cognitive restructuring strategies can increase students' understanding and positive self-acceptance. Role playing, self-talk and relaxation activities in groups can minimize aggressive and submissive attitudes to become assertive verbally as well as forming a firm and courageous attitude in determining an assertive attitude. 3) Monitoring and evaluation results show an 11% increase in students' understanding of self-concept, self-esteem and self-confidence. A total of 22 students showed a brave attitude to complain/report, 41 students responded to situations of violence by having the courage to speak out verbally, 20 students also no longer panicked and were anxious but became calmer and did not fight back against the perpetrator but refused and pushed back firmly. Assertiveness training can provide positive self-concept understanding for students to identify various forms of violence and their impacts, as well as being able to apply assertive attitudes appropriately.

Abstract

The aim of this community service activity is to increase the knowledge and skills of MIM Jatisasari teachers in using IT in learning at school. The problems faced by partners are: 1. Teachers still do not have the knowledge and skills in using IT and some teachers are even unable to create folders, create Google Drive, Google Forms and also cannot create PPT. 2. The school email address and teachers' email addresses are inactive and cannot be used. The number of participants was seven teachers. Instrument to obtain data through observation, interviews and documents. The process of implementing IT training is carried out through the partner problem analysis stage, training material creation stage, training implementation stage and evaluation stage. The results of this community service activity are: 1. Participants increase their insight into the use of IT as a learning medium. 2. Participants are able to create Google drive, Google form and PPT. 3. School and teacher email addresses can now be active and used again.

Abstract

Santo Tarcisius High School is the first driving school in Dumai City, so Santo Tarcisius High School has the responsibility to implement the Pancasila Student Profile for its students. One of the characteristics of the Pancasila Student Profile is creative, namely being able to modify and produce something original, meaningful, useful and impactful. To realize the Pancasila Student Profile, an effort is needed to provide knowledge and skills to students in an interesting way, one of which is through robotics and smart farmer extracurricular learning activities. Based on the results of discussions with the school principal, the problems faced in implementing robotics and smart farming extracurricular activities include 1) Students have never had an understanding of computer and robot-based intelligent farming system technology, 2) They do not yet have teachers who are competent in the field of robotics, 3) Limited costs purchasing robotic electronic equipment and installing smart farmers at schools. Based on the problems above, the aim of this activity is to realize the Pancasila Profile, especially in the IT sector, through education on making Line Follower robots and smart farming systems for hydroponic plants. The implementation method is by dividing students into several groups to make Line Follower robots. The number of students in this activity is 150 students/class XI SMA Santo Tarcisius. Success in Beginner Community Service (PMP) is to improve students' skills in making robots and intelligent systems which is measured through the final product results, pre test and post test questionnaires, the product results from this PMP are line follower robots and smart farmer systems, the conclusion of the PMP This is to increase efficiency, productivity and sustainability in the agricultural sector through the application of the latest technology.

Abstract

One of the problems in Tawang Village, Weru Subdistrict, Sukoharjo Regency is the accumulation of organic waste (leaves from the garden) and food waste, which can cause environmental pollution and transmit diseases, and also inorganic waste (used goods) that are abandoned, but can still be recycled.  This service activity aims to encourage the community to manage inorganic waste in the form of waste savings and process organic waste into compost. This activity is expected to motivate the community to protect the environment and improve the community's economy through waste utilization. The target of this activity is health cadres from Tawang Village for waste management education, making waste savings, and processing compost fertilizer. The method of activity in this community service is in the form of education and refresher information about waste, types of waste, and changing the mindset of the community that inorganic waste can still be collected, saved and sold and has economic value. Until organic can be composted. Educational media in waste management training uses power point media and animated videos. Waste management education activities by forming waste savings in health cadres in Tawang Village showed an increase in knowledge by 0.64 points with an average pre-test score of 11.64 points and an average post-test score of 12.28 points. There is an increase in the results of inorganic waste collection every month, waste savings are also increased.

Abstract

The waste problem is an urgent problem that needs to be addressed now in the Special Region of Yogykarta Province (DIY). The closure of the Piyungan Integrated Waste Disposal Site (TPST) is a strong appeal for the entire community to be able to process waste at the household level. Based on the results of the situation analysis and solutions related to the waste problem in RT 10 and RT 12 Jomblangan Hamlet, Banguntapan, Bantul, it was found that the community needs processing of used cooking oil waste. The aim of this community service activity is to develop sustainable creativity through training in making environmentally friendly soap from used cooking oil. The activity methods used were education, discussion and training which was carried out for two days with a duration of 120 minutes per day (13 and 15 June 2023) which was attended by 40 housewives. Evaluation of activities is carried out through pre-test and post-test questionnaires. The results of the activity statistically showed an increase in participants' knowledge regarding waste and processing used cooking oil waste into environmentally friendly soap from 83.5% to 93.25% (p=0.011). Household waste processing activities with creative ideas can be carried out regularly, so that they can contribute to efforts to reduce waste in the DIY area

Abstract

Mitra SDLB YPAC Surabaya stated that there are still many students with physical disabilities who cannot perform self-care such as wearing their own clothes, eating, drinking, bathing, toileting, decorating and mobilizing. A total of 4 students were partially assisted and 12 students were fully assisted in performing activities of daily living (ADL). Partners do not yet have materials for self-care. This is due to the unavailability of effective learning media that supports the improvement of ADL independently at SDLB YPAC Surabaya. In addition, there are no special assistive devices that can support the self-care of children with disabilities independently. The purpose of this service is to increase the independence of students with disabilities in doing ADL. The implementation method consists of 4 stages, namely the preparation stage, implementation stage, monitoring and evaluation stage, and program sustainability. This service program has achieved results that teachers' knowledge about self-care for children with disabilities increased with a good category of 14 (87.5%), a medium category of 2 (12.55), and a low category of 0 (0%). Based on the evaluation of the level of independence, there is a change in the level of independence. The assessment before the action of the partially assisted category was 4 students, but after being given the innovation tool increased to 6 students, and students who were fully assisted initially were 12 reduced to 10 students. Even so, the full level of independence has not yet been achieved. So that it takes a long time to train students with disabilities by using late-made cutlery innovations.
