Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar peserta didik menggunakan LKPD berbasis learning cycle 5E terintegrasi nilai Islami materi pengelolaan lingkungan. Metode penelitian menggunakan quasi eksperiment dengan desain two group pretest-posttest. Pemilihan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada dua sekolah SMPN 1 di Kabupaten Aceh Besar bulan Maret 2018. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada 2 kelas dari setiap sekolah dengan kelas eksperimen menggunakan LKPD berbasis learning cycle 5E terintegrasi nilai Islami dan kelas konvensional. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan lembar penilaian soal tes terintegrasi nilai Islami. Analisis data menggunakan uji independen sampel t-test sehingga memperoleh hasil thitung ≥ ttabel yang menunjukkan adanya perbedaan signifikan hasil belajar peserta didik dari kedua kelas. Hasil implementasi kegiatan pembelajaran diperoleh terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar peserta didik pada setiap kelas dari kedua sekolah yang ditunjukkan dari nilai N-Gain yaitu 62 dan 58 dengan kategori sedang untuk kelas eksperimen, sedangkan kelas kontrol yaitu 25 dan 29 dengan kategori rendah. Berdasarkan hasil uji-t kedua kelas pada setiap sekolah yaitu 5.129 2.018 dan 4.985 2.006, maka dapat disimpulkan terdapat perbedaan signifikan hasil belajar peserta didik antara kelas dengan pembelajaran menggunakan LKPD berbasis learning cycle 5E terintegrasi nilai Islami dengan konvensional.

Abstract

Problem in this research is students’ critical thinking and problem solving skills on learning physics still in low category. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of applying SSCS and PQ4R models, the effect of critical thinking and problem solving skills and their interactions on student learning outcomes. The research used an experimental method and a scientific approach with the research population of all students of class XI IPA SMAN 1 Karanganyar in the 2021/2022. The research sample was determined by cluster random sampling. The experimental class 1 is class XI IPA3 with SSCS model, while experimental class 2 is class XI IPA4 with PQ4R model. The data collection technique used the test method for student learning outcomes data while the questionnaire method for data on students' critical thinking skills and problem solving skills. The data analysis technique used the Anova test. The results concluded that (1) there is a difference in learning outcomes between students who apply SSCS and PQ4R models, learning outcomes where high critical thinking and problem solving student have better outcome than the low one, (2) there is an interaction between learning models, critical thinking and problem solving skills on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan peningkatan penguasaan konsep larutan penyangga siswa SMAN 1 Glumpang Baro dengan penerapan model pembelajaran learning cycle 7E berbantu ICT. (2) Mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan berfikir kritis siswa SMAN 1 Glumpang Baro pada materi larutan penyangga dengan penerapan model pembelajaran learning cycle 7E berbantu ICT. Penelitian dilakukan di SMAN 1 Glumpang  Baro dengan sampel penelitian terdiri atas dua kelas XI IPA. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain pretest-posttest control group design. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode tes, observasi, dan wawancara. Pengolahan data menggunakan rumus N-gain, danpersentase. Hasil penelitian diperoleh model pembelajaran learning cycle 7E berbantu ICT dapat meningkatkan penguasaan konsep larutan penyangga siswa SMAN 1 Glumpang Baro. Nilai rata-rata peningkatan dari 21,25 sebelum pembelajaran menjadi 61,88 setelah pembelajaran. Peningkatan pada kategori sedang (N-gain = 52,55). Model pembelajaran learning cycle7E berbantu ICT dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berfikir kritis siswa SMAN 1 Glumpang Baro pada materi larutan penyangga. Nilai rata-rata peningkatan dari 21,25 sebelum pembelajaran menjadi 76,25 setelah pembelajaran. Peningkatan pada kategori sedang (N-gain = 67,44).

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the positive countries for the corona virus (Covid-19). Experts cite several reasons for the increasing number of cases, one of which is the attitude of the public who careless about minimizing contact between people, the lack of sanctions for violations of self-quarantine, and the lack of location information that the community must avoid. The attitude of caring society, especially education actors, is certainly one of the important things that needs attention. Environmental care and responsibility are character values that need to be developed. Students can get character education through the learning process and learning resources, one of which is textbooks. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an integration of character values and what is the percentage of integration of character values in high school chemistry textbooks that have been used by teachers in learning, especially the character of environmental care and responsibility. This research is a quantitative descriptive study using the questionnaire and observation sheet instruments. The sample in this study is the class X chemistry textbook that is most often used in teaching and learning activities at SMA Negeri 2 and SMA Negeri 4 Langsa City. The results showed that there was an integration of the character values of environmental care and responsibility in the X grade chemistry textbooks used by teachers of SMA Negeri 2 and SMA Negeri 4 Kota Langsa. The integration of environmental care character values is 38%, while the responsibility character values is 63%. The integration of the character values of environmental care and responsibility in the class X chemistry textbook appears in the column project activities, student activities, content content, and evaluation.

Abstract

AbstrakMedia audiovisualberbasis discovery learningdigunakan untuk membantu siswa dalam memahami konsep IPA yang bersifat abstrak, sehingga materi yang disampaikan lebih menarik dan nyata. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menigkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dengan menggunakan media audio visual berbasis discovery learning. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian desain eksperimen semu dengan grup eksperimen dan kontrol pada materi organ dan organisme dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas VII MTsN Tungkop Aceh Besar sebanyak 204 siswa. Sampel yang digunakan adalah peserta didik kelas VII-4 dan VII-6 sebagai kelas eksperimen sebanyak 78 siswa dan kelas VII-3 dan VII-5 sebagai kelas kontrol sebanyak 78 siswa pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2016-2017 yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Tes berbentuk pilhan ganda yang berjumlah 10 soal digunakan sebagai instrument dalam penelitian ini. Hasil akhir menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pada setiap subtansi KBK kelas eksperimen dengan rata-rata N-Gain masing-masing sebesar 46%, 43%, dan 44% sedangkan kelas kontrol sebesar 41%, 35%, dan 33%, sedangkan hasil analsis uji t antara kelas eksperimen dan kontrol sebesar thitung 4,230 ttabel 1,991. Dari hasil perhitungan N-gain diperoleh rata-rata pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yaitu 46 dan 37 keduanya berada pada kategori sedang. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan audio visual berbasis discovery learning pada kelas eksperimen dapat meningkatkan KBK dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi organ dan organisme dibandingkan kelas kontrol. serta mendapat respon sangat tertarik dari siswa dengan rata-rata persentase 97,90.Kata kunci: Media audio visual, discovery learning, keterampilan berpikir kritis, organ dan organisme

Abstract

Current learning problems affect the low scientific literacy and creativity of students, so an approach is needed that is able to link science, technology, and society. The era of 21st century education and the development of the 2013 curriculum requires students to be creative and independent, so that they can improve better learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the differences in students' scientific literacy and creativity through the implementation of the STEM approach at SMP Negeri 2 Sigli. The research method used was pre- experimental with one group pretest posttest design. The research instrument consisted of scientific literacy questions, student creativity observation sheets and interview sheets. The results showed that the implementation of the STEM approach could improve students' scientific literacy with an average N-gain 0.74 in the high category. The average difference test results obtained a significance value of 0.000 0.05, meaning that there are differences in scientific literacy after the implementation of the STEM approach. This proves that the STEM approach can improve students' scientific literacy and student creativity as measured by three indicators. The three indicators measured are generating, planning and, producing, so that the scores obtained from the three indicators are included in the high category. The conclusion in this study is that students' scientific literacy and creativity increase through the STEM approach

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan proses sains dan minat belajar siswa setelah penerapan LKS inkuiri terbimbing. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode eksperimen semu (quasi experiment) dengan nonequivalent control group design yang dilaksanakan pada kelas XI IA di SMA Negeri 11 Banda Aceh tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan non-random purposive sampling (menurut tujuan). Pada kelas eksprimen menggunakan LKS inkuiri terbimbing dan pada kelas kontrol menggunakan LKS konvensional. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pretest-postest, dengan menggunakan soal tes KPS dan angket minat siswa untuk mengetahui minat belajar siswa. Tes yang diberikan untuk mengukur KPS adalah tes soal KPS dengan materi fluida statis dan untuk mengukur minat menggunakan angket minat. Hasil analisis data dengan menggunakan uji-t terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada hasil N-gain soal tes KPS dan hasil analisis uji-t berdasarkan total skala minat kelompok eksperimen menunjukkan sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan terjadi perbedaan yang signifikan. Implikasi dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan menggunakan LKS inkuiri pada materi fluida statis dapat meningkatkan KPS dan minat belajar siswa

Abstract

Creative and critical thinking skills are one of the demands of new skills needed by students in the current era. One of the learning models that can sharpen creative and critical thinking skills is Problem based learning (PBL). Heretofore, research related to creative and critical thinking skills with PBL in understanding static fluid material is still minimal. Therefore, this research explored it. This study aimed to analyze the effect of PBL on students' creative and critical thinking skills. This type of research is experimental with a total of 58 students, both experimental class and control class in 10th-grade science class Christian Senior High School YPKPM Ambon. The research procedure in the form of creative and critical thinking skills tests carried out during the research process and data analysis used was the independent sample t-test. The results showed that the average value of the experimental class students' learning achievement related to students' creative and critical thinking skills was higher than the conventional class. This implies that PBL facilitates in improving students' creative and critical thinking skills on static fluid.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat pengaruh model pembelajaran guided discovery terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada materi gelombang. Ketidakmampuan peserta didik memahami konsep fisika dengan baik dipengaruhi oleh lemahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi-eksperimen dengan desain jenis pre-test post-test control group design. Populasi pada penelitian ini peserta didik kelas XIMIA2(kelompok eksperimen) dan XIMIA3(kelompok kontrol) di MAN Rukoh Banda Aceh pada tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik random sampling dengan mengambil dua kelas secara sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen, pengumpulan data menggunakan instruments soal uraian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran yang diajarkan dengan penerapan model guided discovery lebih baik dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Penerapan model pembelajaran guided discovery dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik.

Abstract

The outbreak of the Covid-19 virus (Corona virus disease-19) in Indonesia, precisely in early March 2020, the government issued a lockdown policy in several areas, self-isolation, physical distancing, and distance learning in education units. The face-to-face lecture system in the classroom is replaced with online or online learning, so that practicum activities are also carried out online. Undergoing virtual practicum, educators are required to be creative and innovative in choosing practicum media, this is needed to facilitate and motivate students in independent learning. One of the interactive learning media that can support online practicum is microsoft excel-based practicum media. This study aims to determine the feasibility of the media and student responses to the virtual practicum media analysis of ferrous metal spectrophotometrically based on microsoft excel. This study uses the research and development (RD) method with the ADDIE model. The research was conducted at the Department of Chemistry Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Syiah Kuala University (FKIP USK). The sample was selected by random sampling, obtained 23 students who took the Chemistry Practicum of Instrument Analysis and Separation courses. The research instrument used a media validation sheet, a student response questionnaire, and a system usability scale (SUS) questionnaire. Data analysis used the percentage formula. The results of the validation of the feasibility of the virtual practicum media analysis of ferrous metal spectrophotometry UV-Vis based on microsoft excel by experts obtained a percentage of 82% with a very feasible category. Students gave positive responses to the virtual practicum media for spectrophotometric analysis of ferrous metal based on microsoft excel, and the SUS questionnaire obtained a sufficient category
