Abstract

Teachers often use printed book media in learning. Rarely do they want to develop and vary learning media with the aim of making the learning process more interesting. As a result, the lack of student interest in learning results in low student learning outcomes. This study was aimed to develop android chemistry comics (chemondro) on the material for the reaction rate of class XI IPA SMA N 1 Garoga. The method used is the ADDIE R D model, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The analysis stage was carried out by analyzing the needs in the form of student characteristics and identifying learning media. The design stage included flowchart design and chemondro. The design results were then developed, then the application was given to the validator for a feasibility test. The implementation stage was carried out in class XI SMA N 1 Garoga. Furthermore, student learning outcomes were measured at the evaluation stage using tests. The results of this study found that chemondro-based chemical comics could be developed with the 3.6 eligibility criteria very well. The learning outcomes were found to be 81.91 in the experimental class compared to 71.76 in the control class. This study concluded that chemondro-were very suitable for use in chemistry learning, especially on the material of reaction rates and student learning outcomes were achieved with good criteria.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis mahasiswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi pada materi mekanika di program studi pendidikan fisika FKIP Unimal. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif-eksploratif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa program studi pendidikan fisika FKIP Universitas Malikussaleh yang telah dan sedang mengambil matakuliah mekanika. instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes diagnotis force concept inventory (FCI) berupa soal pilihan ganda yang dikembangkan oleh Herstenes dan disertai dengan certainty of response index (CRI). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa untuk konsep mekanika terjadi tingkat miskonsepsi yang tinggi pada mahasiswa calon guru. Tingkat miskonsepsi tertinggi terjadi pada materi mekanika yaitu tentang kerangka acuan berpusat diri sendiri (97,43%), benda berat jatuh lebih cepat dibandingkan dengan benda yang lebih ringan (89,30%), massa benda dapat menyebabkan benda berhenti bergerak (80,44%), gerakan benda merupakan representasi gaya yang bekerja pada benda (70,45%) dan sumber gaya yang bekerja pada benda hanya berasal dari pukulan (63,34%).

Abstract

Science learning achievement in Indonesia is categorized as still low. A preliminary study based on an interview with science teachers conducted still found students who did not reach the minimum completeness criteria specified in science learning, one of which is influenced by the use of learning models. The research objective is to determine the teacher's perspective on effective learning models to improve students' science learning achievement. The research was conducted in three schools, namely SMP Negeri 1 Nusawungu, SMP Negeri 2 Nusawungu, and SMP Negeri 3 Nusawungu. This research uses descriptive qualitative research with semi-structured interviews. Data collection was carried out by snowball sampling. Respondents in the interview were ten people including five science teachers, two principals, and three curriculum person. The data analysis techniques are data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing or verification. The learning models used in schools from the interviews included discovery learning models, cooperative learning, project-based learning, and inquiry learning models. Each learning model can improve students’ science learning achievement. Thus, it can be concluded that an effective learning model to be used in science learning is adjusted to the characteristics of the material or the competencies being taught

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis miskonsepsi di kalangan siswa SMA terhadap materi listrik dinamis dan upaya remediasinya dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran Lectora Inspire dan  simulasi berbasis PhET. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua siswa pada SMAN Unggul Tunas Bangsa Tahun Ajaran 2014/2015. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari kelas X putih sebagai kelas eksperimen diberi pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran Lectora inspire dan simulasi berbasis PhET, kelas X merah sebagai kelas kontrol diberi pembelajaran tanpa  menggunakan media pembelajaran Lectora Inspire dan simulasi berbasis PhET. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Quasi Experimental Design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata persentase miskonsepsi siswa kelas eksperimen 20% dengan kategori sangat rendah dan kelas kontrol 41% dengan kategori sedang. Media pembelajaran Lectora Inspire pada materi listrik dinamis yang didesain diinterprestasikan sangat layak digunakan berdasarkan uji kelayakan media dengan persentase total sebesar 84%. Keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran pada pertemuan I, II dan III berturut-turut sebesar 90%, 90% dan 87,5% dengan kriteria sangat baik. Nilai gain ternormalisasi kelas eksperimen 0,57 dan kelas kontrol 0,36 yang berarti peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif siswa kelas eksperimen lebih besar daripada kelas kontrol, namun kedua kelas tergolong kriteria sedang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa upaya remediasi pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran Lectora Inspire dan simulasi berbasis PhET dapat menurunkan kuantitas miskonsepsi dan meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi listrik dinamis.

Abstract

Learning media is a tool in delivering learning material. The use of instructional media is proven effective in increasing understanding of a material. It's just that, the learning media used today tend to only contain material taken from textbooks, even though the media can also be developed based on the results of research or observations made in the field or in the laboratory. This study aims to determine the feasibility of the booklet developed by the inventory of medicinal plants in Pontianak City as a learning medium. The research stages include determining potentials and problems, gathering information, designing booklets, validating booklets, and revising booklets. The initial stage of making a booklet is to carry out an inventory of medicinal plant species and design the contents. The feasibility of the booklet is seen from the evaluation by the validator. The research instrument was a validation sheet. The aspects assessed include aspects of format, content, and language. From the six indicators on the format aspect, validity 1 is obtained, from two three indicators in the content aspect, validity is obtained 1, and from the two indicators on the language aspect, validity is obtained. 1. Overall, from the three aspects, the average validity is 1 with very high criteria. It can be concluded that this booklet is suitable for use as a learning medium

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran generatif terhadap peningkatan KPS siswa kelas X SMA Negeri I Kuala. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen semu dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Negeri I Kuala yang sampelnya dipilih secara purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur peningkatan KPS siswa adalah tes berbentuk pilihan ganda yang berjumlah 15 soal. Berdasarkan hasil persentase rata-rata N-gain siswa kelas eksperimen dan kontrol yaitu 36 dan 57. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata N-Gain kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dari kontrol. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran generatif dapat meningkatan KPS siswa dibandingkan dengan menggunakan motede konvensional pada materi pemuaiaan di kelas X SMA Negeri I Kuala.

Abstract

Science process skills are skills that students must have in processing the scientific knowledge they have acquired. Both knowledge gained from the environment and digital media with literacy skills. So the ability to argue scientifically is needed to be able to convey information obtained scientifically so that it can solve problems in everyday life. Therefore, this study aims to analyze students' science process skills, argumentation skills, and digital literacy. The method used in this study is the explanatory mix method. The population in this study were students of MAN 5 Batanghari, while the sampling technique in this study used purposive sampling, namely students of class X IPA with a total of 35 students. The data collection instruments in this study were in the form of interview sheets, digital literacy questionnaires, and essay questions. Data analysis in this study used descriptive statistical methods. Gender-based SPS for students with dominant results (always good) is female. Then the ability to argue is also more in the female gender. Meanwhile, digital literacy that has the maximum value is male students

Abstract

Analytical thinking skill is a part of higher order thinking skills. The ability to think analytically is very important for students who want to help solve problems and make decisions that can be applied in learning and life. This study aims to determine the improvement of students’ analytical thinking skills on the material solubility and solubility product which is carried out in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study uses a pre-experimental design, with the model The One Group Pretest – Posttest. The population of this study was students of class XI IPA SMAIT Insantama Bogor in the even semester of the 2019/2020 school year. The data were collected by using the thinking instrument skill test which was used in the form of an analytical thinking ability essay covering 3 indicators: distinguishing, organizing, and attributing. The results showed the dominance of students’ analytical thinking skills at the beginning of the period with the average majority (44%), and after treatment, increased in the very good category (74%). The N-gain score for the results of increasing students’ thinking skills is 0.70, which is in the high category. This study concludes that online learning in the material of solubility and solubility results proved to be effective in improving students’ analytical thinking skills during the pandemic

Abstract

Research  dealing  with  Role-Play  Learning  and  Conventional  Learning  methods,  have  been conducted.  The  main  reason  for  this  research  was  that  chemical  bond  was  one  of  the  difficult  but fundamental materials to be mastered by the students at grade X. The purpose of this research was to investigate the students’ achievement on the topic of Hukum Newton at SMA Negeri 1 Palu. One way of increasing their achievement was by using Role-Play method. In order to make their learning understandable, not boring, and easy to grasp, the researcher applied an interesting method called Role- Play.  The  population  of  this  research  was  the  tenth  grade  students  of  SMA  Negeri  1  Palu  in the  academic  year  2017/2018.  The  sample  was  32  students  of  grade  XA as  the  experimental  group (Role-Play) and 32 students of grade XC as the control group (Conventional Learning). The data were collected through the test on Hukum Newton. Based on the analysis, it is found that the average score of the experimental group was 20.65 with deviation standard of 2.413 and of the control group was 15.06 with deviation standard of 2.975. The hypothesis testing was that the t-counted value was 12.75 and the t-table value was 1.67 with the significant value (α) of 0.05. The results showed that there was a significant difference in the students’ achievement dealing with the topic of Hukum Newton through the application of Role-Play Learning method and Conventional Learning method at grade X at SMA Negeri 1 Palu in the Academic Year 2017/2018.

Abstract

Pengembangan  modul  sistem  koloid  dengan pembelajaran kontekstual bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk yang dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan  hasil belajar siswa. Metode  penelitian ini  yaitu    metode  eksprimen (true experimental design). Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 1 Darul Imarah. Untuk sumber data dan sampel penelitian  diambil  siswa kelas IPA-1 dan kelas XI IPA-4 berjumlah 68 siswa, dan guru-guru 5 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes soal pretes-postest, angket modul, dan angket motivasi. Hasil reviev dari para ahli tentang sistematika penulisan, bahasa, isi, dan desain modul menyatakan bahwa modul sistem koloid dengan pembelajaran kontekstual yang  disusun  telah layak memenuhi aspek kelayakan baik dari segi teoritis maupun dari segi empiris, sedangkan untuk instrumen membutuhkan tahapan validasi oleh pakar dan hasil ujicoba pada sekolah yang sama dengan sekolah penelitian. Uji teknik independent sampel t-tes yaitu t hitung= -5,676 t tabel= -2,00.  Uji Mann Witney mengalami peningkatan dengan  perbedaan rata-rata  yaitu dari 24,50 (kelas kontrol) menjadi 43,93 (kelas eksperimen). Motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen dengan menggunakan modul pembelajaran kontekstual pada materi sistem koloid lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan motivasi kelas kontrol dengan penggunaan pembelajaran konvensional.
