Abstract

The formulation of the problem in this study is how the comparison and influence of interest in learning on science learning outcomes of students in SMP 22 Batanghari and SMP 1 Muaro Jambi. The purpose of this research is to find out how the comparison and influence of interest in learning on science learning outcomes of students at SMP 22 Batanghari and SMP 1 Muaro Jambi. This study also serves to see how important student interest in learning is to student learning outcomes in science subjects at the junior high school level. This study uses a mix method research with explanatory design and the data analysis technique used is random sampling. Based on the t-test of student interest in learning and student learning outcomes obtained a significance value of 0.05 so it can be concluded that there is a difference between student interest in learning and student learning outcomes in science subjects at SMP 22 Batanghari and SMP 1 Muaro Jambi. Based on the regression test of student interest in learning and student learning outcomes obtained a significance value of 0.05 so it can be concluded that there is an influence between student interest in learning and student learning outcomes in science subjects at SMP 22 Batanghari and SMP 1 Muaro Jambi

Abstract

pendidikan karakter di sekolah memerlukan pemahaman tentang konsep, teori, metodologi dan aplikasi yang relevan dengan pembentukan karakter dan pendidikan karakter. LKPD diyakini juga berkontribusi dalam pembentukan karakter peserta didik. LKPD konvensional hanya berorientasi pada pemahaman ilmu kimia. Sementara LKPD yang diperkaya dengan integrasi nilai Islami dihasilkan LKPD modifikasi atau disebut dengan LKPD berorientasi nilai Islami. LKPD ini diterapkan pada peserta didik kelas XI SMA Negeri 11 Banda Aceh pada materi hidrolisis garam. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan karakter peserta didik dengan menggunakan LKPD berorientasi nilai dan juga untuk mengetahui respon peserta didik selama menggunakan LKPD berorientasi nilai Islami pada materi hidrolisis garam. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development dengan menggunakan model ADDIE. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan desain eksperimen One Group Pretes-Postes Design. Data pretes dan postes diolah untuk mengetahui peningkatan pemahaman konsep, sedangkan hasil observasi dan skala sikap diolah untuk mengetahui peningkatan nilai-nilai karakter pada diri peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemahaman konsep peserta didik untuk setiap indikator meningkat dengan rata-rata peningkatan mencapai 55,23%, sedangkan karakter peserta didik juga meningkat dengan rata-rata peningkatan mencapai 24,57%. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan LKPD berorientasi nilai Islami dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan karakter peserta didik pada materi hidrolisis garam.

Abstract

The changes that happened during the epidemic due to the Central Government's and the Ministry of Education and Culture's (Kemendikbud) closure of schools had a considerable impact on the learning models and methods followed by all Indonesian students. As a result, this policy implements a digital education or e-learning system implemented during the Covid-19 outbreak, requiring students to use the internet to supplement their home education. However, the public is not well informed about the use of free learning support applications. As a result, information from online learning applications and digital education is required, as these are used as educational support tools for all students. The purpose of this study is to examine how digital learning systems, or e-learning, are used by examining the statistical data of users of a widely used educational startup application. The Teacher Room, Zenius, and Quipper applications will be examined. The research method compares three educational applications used in Indonesia that rely on secondary data from www.similiarweb.com to ascertain the number of website visits and ranking. These findings contribute to the body of knowledge regarding digital learning systems during the Covid-19 outbreak

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar fisika siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran think pair share dan think pair square berbasis strategi advance organizer pada konsep fluida statis serta mengetahui pengaruh strategi advance organizer terhadap pemahaman konsep peserta didik dalam menghubungkan materi sebelumnya dengan materi yang akan dipelajari. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif, dengan jenis penelitian quasi eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini ialah seluruh peserta didik kelas XI MIA SMA Negeri 1 Banda Aceh. Sampel dalam penelitian ini dipilih dengan teknik random sampling, yaitu peserta didik kelas XI MIA2 dan kelas XI MIA3 sebagai kelas eksperimen 1 dan 2. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes hasil belajar sebanyak 10 soal berbentuk pilihan ganda. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji-t. Hasil uji statistik data posttest untuk kelas eksperimen 1 dan 2 secara berturut diperoleh thitung = 0,29 dengan ttabel = 2,002, sehingga hipotesi Ho diterima dan disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar pemahaman konsep fisika peserta didik  kelas XI MIA SMA Negeri 1 Banda Aceh melalui penerapan model pembelajaran TPS dan TPSQ berbasis advance organizer.

Abstract

The low level of scientific literacy is due to the lack of success of students in completing the types of scientific literacy with characteristics. This research aims to determine the literacy achievement of elementary school students in terms of content, process, and science context aspects. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling, where the sampling criteria are based on suggestions from the class teacher and the characteristics of the students themselves. The teacher suggested that the class that had received the material to be tested were class VI, which consisted of 31 students from 16 female students and 15 male students. The research instrument used was a scientific literacy test in the form of 10 multiple-choice questions on the human digestive system material which included aspects of the content, process, and context of scientific literacy. Data were analyzed by descriptive percentage formula. The results showed that the average scientific literacy ability as a whole obtained a percentage value of 51.09% in the low category. In the content aspect, it obtained a percentage value of 49.73% with the low achievement category. The process aspect obtained a percentage value of 44.43% in the low category. Meanwhile, the context aspect shows the highest gain among other aspects of scientific literacy ability, which is 59.13% in the medium category. Conclusion, students' literacy skills are still low, so teachers must pay more attention to improving students' scientific literacy skills through a contextual learning process by connecting science and the application of science in students' daily lives

Abstract

This study explored the integration of animations in lessons designed using the Technological, Pedagogical, Content Knowledge (TPACK) framework to enhance students’ conceptual understanding in the processes of diffusion and osmosis. The study was conducted in a secondary school involving 22 Year 12 students. Data was collected using the Osmosis and Diffusion Conceptual Assessment (ODCA), which is a two-tier diagnostic test administered before and after the lessons. The lessons were designed using an action research cycle, integrated with the TPACK matrix. There were four cycles to address the students’ knowledge dimension, which scaffolds from lower order thinking to higher order thinking (declarative, procedural, schematic and strategic). The paired sample t-test was used to analyse the data and the findings revealed significant differences in the students’ conceptual understanding after the animation-integrated lessons were carried out. The intervention was successful as proven from the large effect size, together with the increased frequency of students having selected the correct responses in the ODCA.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dengan menggunakan LKS berbasis PBL pada materi cahaya. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMPN 1 Kembang Tanjong. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan melibatkan dua kelompok belajar yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Masing-masing kelas terdiri atas 20 orang siswa. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes untuk melihat peningkatan berpikir kritis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan LKS berbasis PBL dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dalam belajar pada materi cahaya di SMPN 1 Kembang Tanjong. Hal ini dapat dilihat tingginya perolehan skor rata-rata N-Gain pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,86 dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol yang diterapkan pembelajaran konvensional hanya mencapai 0,74.

Abstract

Today the electronic learning has developed because in line with the demands of the that sorely on technology. Assessment is one of the important elements in instructional activities and to support e-learning appear the electronic assessment. This study aims to develop an electronic learning chemistry assesment (Element) digital application through project based learning (PjBL) on the concept of applied chemistry. The research method used is the research and development method. The research subjects for the product trial developed in this study were students of the class of 2019/2020 with a purposive sampling technique with a sample of 24 students. This research instrument uses a needs analysis questionnaire, expert validation before and after revision, student response and small-scale trials. The assessment component contained in the application consists of quiz assignments, practical, product, project and final. The validation results were analyzed using content validity ratio (CVR) analysis and each criterion was then calculated the content validity index (CVI) or average value. The results showed that the Element through PjBL on applied chemistry concepts had been validated by material and media experts with an average CVI of 0.9 or the very valid category. The results of the small-scale test of the electronic-virtual assessment for of learning application for students obtained an average percentage of 93.9% with the criteria of "very interesting". Furthermore, the data on increasing students' scientific performance has increased by 0.70 with a high category and is strong effectively used to improve student scientific performance

Abstract

The effect of inquiry-based learning models on cognitive learning outcomes has been discussed for a long time. However, in local research, this effect is more focused on comparing inquiry-based learning models with traditional learning models. Given such studies' rarity, this study seeks to compare the various inquiry levels to cognitive learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the differences in students' cognitive aspects between structured inquiry and guided inquiry-based science learning models. The research method used is a causal-comparative method, with a sample search technique in the systematic review. The sample used is secondary data in the form of undergraduate theses that have passed the selection and come from the Biology Education program at least accredited B with the research theme of the effect of inquiry learning models on high school students' cognitive learning outcomes. The research findings reveal significant differences in cognitive learning outcomes between the structured inquiry (SI) and guided inquiry (GI) learning model. The processing is more complicated in the GI learning model, allows students to perform better in learning outcomes than the SI learning model. Significant differences were supported by calculating the effect size in this study. The effect size in studies that apply the SI learning model belongs to the medium category. Meanwhile, the effect size in studies using the GI learning model belongs to the large to extremely large categories
