Abstract

The realization of national food security is expected to be built on regional food security. Local governments are obliged to build their own regional food security, and contribute to national security. This is in line with the mandate of Law No. 23/2014 on Regional Government, which states that food is a mandatory matter for the central and regional governments. In relation to this background, this study aims to determine the availability and affordability of food in the East Priangan region, as one of the food production centers of West Java Province. The research method used is mixed method research with the dominance of quantitative design. Based on the results of the analysis, the research can be concluded that the food security conditions of regencies and municipalities in the East Priangan region are categorized as strong. However, based on the results of the comparative analysis among the regencies and cities, it shows a quite unique condition. The condition of the level of food availability (independent) is inversely proportional to the condition of the level of affordability. Regencies and municipalities that have a high marketable surplus of food tend to have a relatively low level of affordability. Conversely, regencies and municipalities with high food affordability have low marketable surplus.

Abstract

BUMDes was born to accelerate village development in the economic. This research was conducted in 2019–2020 on BUMDEs in the Bogor district. The first objective of this study, using panel data regression, is to find out how far the internal and external influences of the business increase the income of BUMDes. The second goal, using the Cobb-Douglas production function with the stochastic frontier and the MLE (maximum likelihood estimation) production function approach, is to determine the efficiency level of BUMDes fund management. The results of this study show that the number of workers as part of the internal business of BUMDes has a positive and significant influence on increasing the income of BUMDes. While the number of residents and stores that market the results of BUDes products also influences the external side of the business, The efficiency rate of BUMDes is 57%, with operational costs as the most critical variable.

Abstract

The development of village tourist destinations can accelerate the transformation of the rural economy from 'low value added' status to 'high value added' which impacts expanding employment opportunities, increasing income, and family economic resilience. Cipamekar Village, Sumedang Regency has great potential to become a regional tourist destination, considering the existence of spring and agro-tourism tourist destinations that are easily accessible to the people of West Java when Cisumdawu Toll Road is already operating. Therefore, it is necessary to have a process of empowering BUMDes Tirta Mekar so that the development of sirah cai cipelang tourist destinations uses scientific and innovative approaches. The methodology is carried out by looking directly at BUMDes-BUMDes that have successfully managed their tourist areas to be used as a reference in the development of BUMDes in managing sirah cai cipelang tourism.

This research is the development of the TAM concept that provides hope, and can help to predict user attitudes and acceptance of information system technology. The user's perception of the application system depends on the quality of the information system available, where the quality measures of the online application system are Reliability, Flexibility, Security, Easy to use, Privacy, Accessibility. This research is a survey research using a questionnaire as a source of processed data. Determination of the research sample using justment sampling. Questionnaires were distributed to respondents using the online motorcycle taxi application, in this case GOJEK, as many as 340 respondents. Research data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS tools. The results of the study explain that only flexibility has no effect on customer satisfaction, while service quality, Reliability, Security, Easy to use, Privacy, Accessibility have an effect on customer satisfaction. Using the TAM concept, online motorcycle taxi providers can retain old customers and find new customers by conducting surveys at certain periods of online motorcycle taxi users' consumers.

Abstract

Communication of traditional elite power relations and language power over silent groups in the "Lonto Leok" deliberation culture greatly influences the results of deliberations which essentially ignore the opinions of the lower community, so that the democracy that occurs seems to represent all community opinions. Therefore, it is necessary to know the power relations of traditional elites with the community (silent groups) in order to gain an understanding of this democratic context. This research was conducted among the Manggarai ethnic group in Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province using qualitative methods. Data collection was conducted by in-depth interviews with local elites and people who practice the "lonto leok" culture. To get the appropriate views, focused discussions were conducted to match the results of the interviews. The results of this study concluded that the lonto leok culture is a form of deliberation in the context of the Manggarai indigenous community, where the customary elite (traditional elite) has a very strong role in decision-making which is implicitly supported by the power of language to silence the lower layers of society (non-elite) to prevent dissent.

Abstract

Poverty is always synonymous with disadvantaged people in rural and urban areas. According to the OECD (2016) three billion people in developing countries, including Indonesia, live in rural areas, and the majority are poor. The government has made various efforts in Indonesia to alleviate poverty, including through the concept of "building from the periphery" by allocating considerable funds to strengthen rural development. This study aims to measure the effectiveness of village funds in alleviating poverty in rural areas (case study: Belitung Regency) using the Moran's Index Analysis and Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR) analysis methods. Based on the results of Moran's Index analysis on poverty levels in 42 villages in Belitung Regency, it can be seen that the distribution pattern of poverty in each village is random or unpredictable. At the same time, the effect on poverty shows that village funds in the field of government administration have not influenced poverty alleviation. Meanwhile, the fields of development implementation, community development, community empowerment, disaster management, and emergencies, and urgency affect poverty alleviation as indicated by a "negative" regression coefficient.

Abstract

Abstract. Nowadays, the world is experiencing climate change and water pollution which can have bad impact on many aspects. Thus, the purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between media synchronicity and task performance and communication performance in rehabilitating rivers from domestic waste in the Citarum Harum program. This study uses survey and the withdrawal technique uses multi-clustering, by choosing an area that is very close to the river which is the target of the Citarum Harum Program. The population is taken from two villages in Bandung Regency with heavily polluted river water quality status and uses multiple correlation coefficients and structural equation modeling partial least squares 3 as the data analysis technique. It shows a weak relationship between communication process variables and task performance and a negative relationship between the effects of moderation on communication performance. So, it is necessary to develop further models to improve these sub-variables.
