Pelita: Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat dengan nomor ISSN 2775-0094 (online) adalah jurnal multidisiplin ilmiah yang diterbitkan oleh Perkumpulan Kualitama Edukatika Indonesia. Pelita: Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat merupakan jurnal nasional yang memiliki fokus utama pada pengembangan ilmu-ilmu di bidang pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Lingkup bidang pengabdian kepada masyarakat antara lain meliputi pelatihan, pemasaran, keamanan pangan lokal, Teknologi Tepat Guna (TTG), desain, pemberdayaan masyarakat, akses sosial, daerah perbatasan, daerah kurang berkembang, dan pendidikan untuk pembangunan berkelanjutan. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat berisi berbagai kegiatan penanganan dan pengelolaan berbagai potensi, kendala, tantangan, dan masalah yang ada di masyarakat. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian juga melibatkan partisipasi masyarakat dan mitra. Kegiatan pengabdian tersebut disusun dalam suatu kegiatan yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Tujuan dari publikasi jurnal ini adalah untuk menyebarluaskan pemikiran konseptual atau ide-ide yang telah dicapai di bidang pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Pelita: Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat terbit empat kali dalam satu tahun yaitu pada bulan Januari, April, Juli, dan Oktober.

Abstract

Facing learning in the New Normal era, teachers must be able to prepare creative and innovative learning that is not just giving online assignments. However, during the pandemic, teachers have problems when carrying out learning. Most teachers find it difficult to prepare creative online learning materials. As a result, learning is ineffective, there is no interaction between students, and tends to the division of tasks. The PGRI Semarang university service team offers solutions in the form of learning strategies by combining the themes of each lesson so that learning can be carried out effectively through STEAM-based learning. The use of telegrams for interactive quizzes and Porprofs as a comprehensive evaluation tool that makes it easier for teachers is one of the solutions in learning in the new normal era.

Abstract

Public attention to the importance of clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS) is still relatively minimal. The people of Desa Karanglo, Kecamatan Kerek Kabupaten Tuban, need counseling and training as well as assistance regarding this PHBS. This community service aims to provide knowledge and information, especially during a pandemic like today. During this COVID-19 pandemic, everyone must implement PHBS to increase body immunity and always apply the health protocol in the form of 5M. Creating a healthy life in addition to fulfilling the nutritional balance of the family requires the role of the family, especially the role of the mother in providing health awareness and supervision for family members. The purpose of this community service program is to provide PHBS training and counseling as well as to socialize the importance of vaccines in the pandemic era. Community service partners who are PKK members are expected to gain insight, awareness, willingness and ability of the community to live clean and healthy lives in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic and have awareness and implement vaccine programs from the government. This community service method uses counseling and training methods, discussions and direct practice (learning by doing). The results of community service after partners participated in activities and filled out questionnaires showed that the material provided was in accordance with what the participants needed, the ability of the training instructor to provide counseling and training was as expected, participants had high enthusiasm in community service activities. Participants have an understanding and additional insight into PHBS and vaccination. There is relevance of current conditions with the material presented.

Abstract

Schools must prepare the infrastructure needed to implement the New Normal during the Covid-19 pandemic. For example, providing hand washing facilities in each room, hand sanitizer, masks, thermometers, disinfectants, and disinfectant sprayers. All of these infrastructure facilities must be owned by schools for the implementation of the New Normal. SDN Purwodadi 01 is an elementary school located in Malang City. The number of facilities or places for washing hands at the school is limited. The habit of frequently washing hands or using hand sanitizers for students at SDN Purwodadi 01 is still not done periodically, especially by grade 4 students. Therefore, it is necessary to provide personal hygiene in maintaining cleanliness. The purpose of this service activity is the habit of personal hygiene for the application of a clean and healthy lifestyle for elementary school students. Service activities are carried out using the lecture method, question and answer and assignments. The lecture method was used to explain and provide an understanding of how to wash hands properly, the importance of using masks at school, and the habit of using hand sanitizers when carrying out activities at school. Students are also facilitated to ask the service team. In the assignment method, students are given pre-test and post-test questions to determine the level of student understanding regarding personal hygiene. The results of the evaluation showed that students' knowledge related to personal hygiene was categorized as moderate.

Abstract

The purpose of implementing this service activity is to provide training and assistance to teachers at SMP N 1 Pecangaan and SMP N 2 Pecangaan in classroom action research (CAR). The output to be achieved in this program is that teachers at SMP N 1 Pecangaan and SMP N 2 Pecangaan attend CAR training so that they are able to make proposals, carry out CAR in class, are able to compile CAR reports and can write scientific articles for publication. The training is carried out in groups with an andragogy approach. The training method is carried out using the following methods: lectures and questions and answers, demonstrations, exercises and practices. Simultaneously the training was followed by mentoring activities in the preparation of proposals, implementation of open classes and assistance in the preparation of reports and articles. Training and mentoring activities through IbM Class Action Research activities for teachers of SMP N 1 Pecangaan and SMP N 2 have implications for teachers' understanding of the implementation of CAR to their ability to compile published articles.

Abstract

The teacher's ability to create media for distance learning must be improved. This service activity aims to provide training and assistance to teachers of SD Batursari 6 Mranggen District, Demak Regency, Central Java in making instructional videos. The software used was Google Photo, Wondershare Filmora, Thunkable, and PowerPoint 2020. The activity was carried out in a blended manner for four days of activity. The training is carried out using an andragogical approach, where training involves more demonstrations, questions and answers and practice as well as mentoring. The training material is presented with more practice than theory, with a ratio of 30% theory and 70% practice. The success of the training was demonstrated through the improvement of the participants’ abilities regarding the use of software to make learning videos. The ability in making media is shown from the learning media products that have been made by the teacher. All prtiipant responded positively to this activity.

Abstract

The "Ria" home industry has experienced many problems in the production and management processes. In the production process, it has limitations in packaging. In addition, the business financial management aspect is still mixed with household finances. Marketing is done traditionally and has not been effective. This PKM program aims to provide assistance in packaging production tools, provide training related to marketing management and product packaging. The method of activities carried out is Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) involving partners. The results of this PKM show that the production packaging process runs smoothly with the presence of a modern sealer, participants' knowledge of the Marketing Mix increases, product marketing is carried out offline and online.

Abstract

The problem faced by partners is that many teachers still have difficulty in compiling scientific papers and publishing them in the form of national journals. Based on the partners' problems above, the solution we offer is to train and assist teachers in compiling scientific articles to journal publications. This training activity is designed in stages, starting with a classical meeting in the form of a seminar with introductory material on scientific publications, preparation of scientific articles and journal publications. After completing the theory, the practice of making scientific articles is carried out with direction and guidance from the service team. The conclusion from the training activities for writing and publishing scientific articles, the teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Mayong are very enthusiastic in participating in this training activity because many teachers, both young and senior teachers, still have difficulty writing scientific articles and then publishing them. Even though the publication of scientific articles is one of the points that can be used to improve the rank of teachers. Because of the enthusiasm of the teachers' enthusiasm for learning, the training activities for writing and publishing scientific articles at SMA Negeri 1 Mayong can be carried out well and the teachers have been able to compile scientific articles and submit them to national journals.

Abstract

Digital media literacy and monitoring the use of digital media and online media during the COVID-19 pandemic are currently widely accessed by the general public, but many students during the current pandemic are not able to use digital media intelligently. The objectives of this community service activity include: 1) providing education and socialization to teachers and parents about the characteristics of digital media accessed by children during the COVID-19 pandemic, 2) providing knowledge about the impact of using digital media on behavior and development. psychology of children, 3) provide encouragement to teachers and parents to be able to provide assistance to children in managing the use of digital media intelligently. This type of service design is socialization and case studies as well as the method in carrying out this activity using the question and answer method of training, lectures, discussions, and case simulations about the use of gadgets that are good and right. The method used in community service is through seminar kits and workshops. With these trainings and workshops, it is hoped that there will be two-way communication, both between resource persons and participants and between participants themselves. The results of the training activities during mentoring for approximately 1 month are: 1) teachers are more interactive when teaching online in packaging learning using applications that are synchronized with online media such as zoom meetings, google meetings and group watzhap. 2) Parents and teachers are increasingly understanding about the characteristics of digital media, 3) teachers and parents are increasingly understanding about the impact of using digital media on children's behavior and psychological development, 4) parents are increasingly effective in assisting children in regulating intelligent use of digital media anytime and anywhere, 5) there is a very big influence that students are motivated to be enthusiastic in learning because during this pandemic there is a scale of restrictions in learning, 6) There is awareness of parents in preparing financially to buy learning quota packages maximum.

Abstract

The purpose of this training is to provide children's dance choreography training using ensemble music for elementary school teachers in cluster 2, Malang city. This training uses the lecture method, demonstration method and assignment method. The participants in this training were elementary school teachers in cluster 2 of Malang city which consisted of ten elementary schools, namely SDN Bandungrejosari I to IV, SDN Bakalan Krajan I to IV, SD IGS and MI Insan Mulia. The results of this training show that the children's dance choreography training activity using ensemble music was welcomed by teachers in cluster 2 of Malang city. The teachers are of the opinion that children's dance choreography training activities using ensemble music can add information and knowledge about SBdP material, especially dance and music, to be applied in learning activities. With this activity, the teacher responded positively because it could add insight and improve teacher skills.

Abstract

Advances in technology and science in the current era of globalization, especially in the field of computers. The ability to operate a computer is needed in various fields of work. This ability is not only familiar with computers globally, but also an elementary school teacher is required to be able to operate a computer as a learning medium and one way to complete the work that will be presented to students as well as efforts to increase knowledge competence in the field of computers, in accordance with the Government's target which aims to developing ICT programs and helping digital generations who are not technologically savvy. The design of training materials is expected to improve some of the teacher's abilities, including being able to make reports on student learning outcomes using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Power Point. Participants in this training were 20 teachers at SDN 012 North Balikpapan.
