Abstract

One function of the protection system is to avoid or reduce damage to electrical equipment due to abnormal conditions such as undervoltage, overvoltage, overcurrent, underfrequency and harmonics. This protection system requires a Smart 7KT Multi-Function Meter and a PLC. Where the Smart 7KT Multi-Function Meter is used for monitoring then transferred to the PLC and detecting any abnormalities in the system when a disturbance occurs then the Smart 7KT Multi-Function Meter will send data to the PLC, then send a signal to the circuit breaker to disconnect the network that is experiencing disturbance. While the PLC is used to execute data that has been taken by the Multi-function Meter Smart 7KT for control or control on the Multi-function Meter Smart 7KT. When a disturbance occurs, the program on the PLC will protect and the type of disturbance will be displayed on the HMI screen. The results of this project were successful in securing undervoltage disturbances of 314.2 V for line voltages, overvoltage of 412.1 V for line voltages, overcurrent of 1.6 A, and testing of THD voltage between phases V12 of 1.3%, THD V23 of 1.1%, and THD V13 of 1.1%, for THD currents of 14.6% for THD I1, THD I2 of 9.4%, and THD I3 of 10.6% which occur in the electric power installation network which causes damage to electrical equipment.

Abstract

In carrying out weddings, the Batanghari people carry out ceremonies according to traditions inherited from generation to generation from their ancestors, even though the majority of the Batanghari people adhere to the Islamic religion. However, in the implementation of wedding ceremonies, some traditions are still considered inconsistent with Islamic teachings, which in turn becomes a problem, namely that customs/traditions take priority over the Shari'a. As a religious society and the majority adhere to the Islamic religion, the values that dominate the wedding ceremony procession should be the Islamic teachings that they adhere to. These concepts will be researched about the traditions of the Batanghari community and Islamic teachings, especially regarding the process of traditional ceremonies at weddings. The method used is qualitative, with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this research are: (1) The process of implementing customs that apply in marriages in the people of Batanghari Regency is carried out comprehensively and systematically in nine series, the sequence of which includes caring for single children and girls, choosing a mate, negotiation period, handing over customary delivery. , the wedding ceremony, the day of anchoring the lek, the handover between the bride and groom, the teaching and reprimanding of the bride's sapo, and the iwa. (2) The philosophical basis of the existence of marriage customs and their implementation as a crystallization of the values upheld by the people of Batanghari Regency emerged due to several factors, namely the existence of harmony between customs and Islamic law, the formation of a community which supports the Jambi customary system, the role of LAM. (3) The perspective of Islamic law regarding the activities that take place in the marriage customs of the people of Batanghari Regency is in harmony with Islamic values. However, minor specific aspects in particular series experience expansion and even conflict with Islamic law.

Abstract

This quantitative study investigated the effect of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) on Economic Growth in Nigeria and Ghana using data spanning from 1981 to 2022 sourced from reputable institutions, including the Central Bank of Nigeria, Bank of Ghana, World Bank, International Monetary Fund (IMF), and United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per capita served as the key indicator of economic growth, calculated by dividing total GDP by population size. FDI, Inflation Rates, and Exchange Rates were examined as independent variables. Ordinary Least Square (OLS) regression analysis was employed, and the model was adapted from previous studies. Descriptive statistics highlighted substantial FDI inflows in both countries, with Nigeria exhibiting a mean FDI of USD 2.47 billion and Ghana's USD 1.13 billion. Analysis revealed the significance of FDI in driving economic growth in both nations, with coefficients of 9.10E-08 for Nigeria and 2.85E-07 for Ghana. Additionally, Exchange Rates demonstrated a positive effect on GDP per capita in both countries, emphasizing the importance of currency stability. Cointegration tests suggested stable long-term relationships between FDI and Economic Growth. The study suggests that both countries should continue implementing policies that attract and retain FDI as clear and stable regulations and incentives for foreign investors can contribute to sustained economic growth.

Abstract

This research set out to ascertain the impact of firm size, dividend policy, and earnings volatility on stock price volatility in banking companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX). All banking businesses listed between 2018 and 2022 on the IDX are included in the research population. Using the purposive selection approach, the sample was selected based on the requirement that the corporation paid cash dividends and released financial reports during the study period. Nine firms were selected as a sample using the predetermined criteria. Secondary data is utilized. Multiple linear regression is the data analysis technique with a significance level of 0.05. The study's findings show that (1) earnings volatility does not influence stock price volatility. Dividend policy influences the volatility of stock prices. (3) Stock price volatility is unaffected by the company's size. (4) The simultaneous influence of Earnings Volatility, Dividend Policy, and Company Size on Stock Price Volatility is null. (5) The R-squared adjustment is 0.34. This indicates that 34% of the dependent variable's explanation may be attributed to independent factors, with the other 66% coming from variables not included in this research.

Abstract

In this era of digitalization, there have been major changes in education, especially with the integration of technology into the world of education. As an advanced stage of formal education, high school plays an important role in integrating technology into the teaching-learning process. Various studies show the great potential of technology to enrich student learning experiences, improve access to educational resources, and improve teaching efficiency. The study used the literature review method, combining the results of several related studies into a new topic. From the review, it was found that the use of technology in high schools involves a variety of digital infrastructures and programs, such as Zoom, Canva, digital education (E-Learnings), Google Classroom, Google Sites, Magic School, Kahoot, E-Ujian, video conference, electronic report (e-Rapot), and WhatsApp Application. The main advantage of technology is its ability to make teaching more exciting and interactive for learners. However, the challenge is the inequality of connectivity related to technology. Students who do not have electronic devices or internet connectivity risk being left behind, creating differences or imbalances in learning opportunities.

Abstract

This study examines the significance of the Agricultural Credit Guarantee Scheme (ACGS) funds in improving agricultural performance in Nigeria. The study uses descriptive statistics and trend analysis to analyze the relationship between ACGS funds and agricultural output in Nigeria, assessing its impact on crop production, livestock, and fishery sectors. The study utilized a quantitative research design to investigate the effect of agricultural credit guarantee scheme funds on agrarian performance in Nigeria. Time series data spanning a period of 41 years (1981-2021) was collected from secondary sources, specifically the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). The data collected included variables such as gross domestic product (GDP) as a proxy for agricultural performance and the total volume and number of loans issued for cash crops, food crops, and mixed farming as proxies for ACGSF disbursements. This study's findings revealed that Nigeria's Agricultural Credit Guarantee Scheme Fund (ACGSF) has had a significant impact on the agriculture sector, particularly in livestock, crops, and fisheries. The fund experienced a low level of funding before 1999 but increased significantly after the advent of democracy, focusing on agriculture. Livestock and crop production had the highest loan guarantee funding in 2014, while fisheries peaked in 2009. Using the Augmented Dickey-Fuller approach, all variables were found to be stationary at the levels, and some were found to be stationary at the first difference. None of the variables were stationary at the second difference. The estimated F-ratios for Livestock, Crop, and Fishery were 49.71, 190.38, and 122.45, respectively, indicating that the agricultural credit guarantee significantly influences all sectors' output. The adjusted R2 values for Livestock, Crop, and Fishery were 82.97%, 94.67%, and 75.69%, respectively, indicating a good fit for the regression models. The regression results reveal a positive relationship between the GDP of Livestock and cattle and other livestock, with other livestock being significant at the 1% level. The GDP of Fishery also shows a positive significant relationship with ACGSF Fishery. The recommendation is to increase investment in livestock, crop, and fishery sectors to diversify the economy, improve GDP, and reduce dependency on other countries. Loans should be available to qualified individuals as soon as due by participating banks, and more funds should be made available to cash crops and other sectors to earn more foreign exchange. Increased publicity about the scheme is recommended.

Abstract

This paper evaluated the moderating effect of audit report timeliness on audit committee attributes and earnings volatility of quoted oil and gas firms in Nigeria from 2013 to 2022. Data were sourced from 10 quoted oil and gas multinationals. The study extracted data from the annual reports of the oil and gas firms. Meanwhile, the study adopted the moderated regression estimation technique. The study evidenced that audit committee financial expertise and the frequency of meetings reduce earnings volatility. However, audit committee independence increases earnings volatility due to stricter accounting practices imposed by independent members. The moderated regression analysis indicates that timely audit report issuance significantly mitigates the effect of audit committee effectiveness on earnings volatility. This implies that while an influential audit committee reduces earnings volatility, its impact is enhanced when audit reports are issued promptly. The study concludes that audit committee effectiveness and audit report timeliness are crucial for managing earnings volatility. Consequently, those with financial and industry experience should be encouraged to join the audit committee. Their expertise can help in better oversight and stabilization of earnings. Lastly, the management of sampled firms should develop a robust governance framework that integrates influential audit committee practices with timely audit reporting.
